-a bungalow as you wish the number of rooms all masters if you wish also.

Hi,

Let me attempt to respond to your questions.

What you're planning to do is something I've always wanted to do for a while, but haven't gotten the balls to finally do it. Anyways, to the responses:

1. You'll be better off with your cash, although not too much. Nowhere is 100% safe, and you don't want to get stranded after being mugged. On the other hand, keeping your money in the bank has its hassles too, especially with regards to being able to withdraw across West Africa. I know Ecobank has several branches in the region, and it may be easier getting your money in many of these countries with their card.

2. I'd go for Airbnb every day and 17 times on Fridays. For me, I find it a lot more flexible than hotels. Also, it's a way to connect with locals wherever you go, and you may be able to get useful tips from the folks you stay with.

3. I don't know of anyone planning this. I'd love to, but haven't got the time right now.

4. If you're willing to bear roaming charges on your Nigerian MTN sim, then that's okay. You'll be able to use it. A cheaper option will be to buy local sim cards especially in places where you'll be staying for a while. To get a sim card, they'll request for a means of ID, usually your international passport. Once you are able to present that, you'll get your sim card. The only thing is that by the time you're done with your trip, your bag will probably be full of sim cards...lol

5. Advice? I'd say you should go for this. The experience you'll get will be one you'll never forget. It can be life changing. I once did a road trip from Rwanda through Uganda to Kenya and Tanzania, and then back to Rwanda. It was one hell of an experience.

I'm a little wary of your budget though. You mentioned you've got 200k for this trip...I'll suggest you review your budget again and be sure it'll take you the whole way and back. Last time I checked, there were no ferries running between Dakar and Praia (Cape Verde), and a flight might take a huge chunk out of your pocket. So, check again. You don't want to get stranded in a foreign land. But again, where's the fun in it if you don't get stranded...pun intended.

you can start a business with any amount of money but with #300,000 ,
1. u can invest in dogs, (Caucasian) they sell like mad and they don't need your time. They only need u morning and evening
2. You can invest in POS. Get a shop, get a POS banner and start making your money, u can hire a trusted person
3. You can inter-state business though the risk is high, the profit is big. Last year, I started sending goats to Portharcort, I started with 45k and in less than a month, I was making close to #200,000
4. You can go into storage, buy goods when they are in their season, u will get them cheap and sell them after 6 months, you make 3 times your capital
5. You can invest into yams. Buy yams were they are cheap, supply them to all the market women in your area to resell and be collecting your money every week. Here in Jos, that was my first business, I started with just 25k and after like 2 month, I made close to 70k. I can go on and on

My own advice is this. Don't think of traveling for now. That traveling things has rendered many useless. What you have to go through to get a visa and a lot of money will be wasted. You may be rejected also.

My advice is this if you know anyone who lives in other neighboring countries like Gambia, Laberia, Seria lone or ghana. Who deals with phone accessories then speak with the person.

Each one can be like #250 since you are buying plenty then you package and sent it to the person through Chisco or A BC transport. Within a week the person has finished distributing it and you get your money back guarantee.

The profit now is like this most goods bought from lagos is so cheap than other neighboring countries own. The profits now can be #200 each charger cable. Let's say you bought and send 2000 pieces base on that your money. Within weeks you got #200 × 2000pics= #400,000.
I have been doing it and I have built a good house within a year. Thank me later.

sincerely the both have good biz opportunities but as 4me i prefer liberia. Sierra leoneans are born liars and thieves without conscience but if u learn to live with them, u have passed. Its quite peaceful though and virtually everythin here is imported and sold at high price. Their currency is poor but liberia is american dollar and liberty which is x2 of naira
