Shadows instead of substance .
Fantasy instead of the apparent evidence.
Propaganda instead of governing.
The country has more presidential jets than attack helicopters .
Had more ambulances parked in aso-rock than in federal hospitals.
Spends more on equipping a hospital in the villa than hospitals for millions of citizens.
I can go on and on .

PoliticsRe: Boko-haram Has Over 50000 Members- BBOG by ogbronx(m): 1:28pm On Aug 28, 2014
Nigerians are really misinformed about the BH thing. For some political gain the admin is treating the BH problem with "kid-gloves".
We have been told before that most of the insurgent fighters are not Nigerians but disoriented and trained militia from Mali , northern parts of Togo, Chad etc. We seem to always shy from the truth for selfish reasons.
Both the opposition and current admin politicize the crisis in a bid to paint the other bad with the admin currently gaining more if status quo is maintained till general elections come Feb 2015. This is the reason behind the complacent and nonchalant stance of the FG. The opposition also would try to taint the image of the current admin as BH "real sponsors" to win 2015 elections . The duel(politicizing) between the Fg and opposition remains a negative approach as Nigerian lives are shed on daily basis and our territorial integrity is Compromised.
Till date, we dont know what BH is, who sponsors them or how equipped they are. This is a bad score on our intelligence agencies.
In the light of no proper info from the right sources, Nigerian are left to deduce and arrive at all manners of conjectures.
on one of my many journeys to other African countries, I met a young chap in the Togo(thinking I was a moslem) divulged some info on BH . He said its now the business that jobless and radicalist Malians, Northern Togolese,Chadians and other African countries find themselves in. albeit, they are guns-for-hire .
These mercenaries have found themselves in Nigerian territory as they took advantage of a weak government and disguised as Nigerian northerners seeking an Islamic state.
The army has to stop the approach that they are fighting Nigerians and fight with all our military might . The lies about being unequipped should stop.

RebelLeader15: APC is not a party. It is the Amalgamation of (southern and Northern) Public Criminals
My myopic( or maybe PDP paid online typist) friend, I didn't say APC is clean. Having said this, the real criminals are in PDP . PDP 's criminality makes that of APC seem like child's play.
Inflation is on a steady rice from 1999 PDP led govt till date
corruption is celebrated openly without shame. (applies to u and ur selfish gain from PDP )
One in every three Nigerian has got high bp. bp increased steadily with the emergence of PDP .
Pdp are experts in rigging cos the started it and mastered the art. So is thuggery.

PoliticsRe: IBB And Kaduna Mafia Will Never Allow A Buhari Presidency by ogbronx(m): 1:28pm On Aug 17, 2014
Its blatant that there is an orchestrated conspiracy against Nigerians by the elites but limiting their fight against Buhari alone by op is myopic.
All tenures from obj to present have been well orchestrated to their benefit. See these pple as a society or cabal who have been in key positions over time for obvious reasons.
They would stop at nothing to get what they want. This is why it will be hard for the opposition party the APC because the can't stand change for it just might ruin their I'll gotten monies.
A few of their input are as follows;
Registration of many political parties to kill any chance of a major political opposition party
Deliberate neglect of the educational sector. The less sharp minds, the better for them.
Weak economy because poor and uneducated populace are almost harmless.
Inec can never be independent
No state policing
etc.

agabusta: This is a good write-up. It calls for sombre reflection from the FGN, the PDP, the APC and the generality of Nigerian people.

But unfortunately, in this part of the world, we seem to lack the ability to think deep. We prefer to be carried headlong into the abyss because of ego and empty pride.

In the face of superior argument, instead of us to backdown, we'll still continue in an unproductive path just because of ego or some unreasonable vendetta that is not in the interest of the country.

May God open our eyes to see, our ears to hear, an emotion tht can be appropriately controlled and the courage to act right.
PoliticsRe: Is Nigeria's Problem Bad Leadership Or Weak "followership"? by ogbronx(m): 11:31pm On Aug 16, 2014
Followership gets a huge chunk of the blame. We demand little from our leaders. Are very divided along ethno-religious lines. Its-our-turn syndrome is a major problem of the followership.
So many a times we support pple who give immediate gains(rice,10k-TAN, etc) than seek long term developmental growth.
It would be no surprise to see that an intelligent and mentally sophisticated individual loses election to someone of lesser qualities because the latter is richer.
we have no ideology. It is why these rulers keep succeeding in getting into power without results or promise of it.
Needless to say is that the Nigerian polity now seems to favour criminals and sycophants. We hardly question the xters of those vying for political offices thus, ex convicts ,impeached governors and murder suspects contest elections.
The problem is follwership. A very docile and passive follewrship soaked deeply in ignorance and myopia.

PoliticsRe: The World Needs Fewer People : Global Conspiracy Of The Elite , Ebola by ogbronx(m): 1:04pm On Aug 05, 2014
Africans who are oblivious of western sinister influence on our continent are enormous. This makes the few who are aware to seem insignificant and helpless at doing anything.
More disheartening also is the use of some Africans against Africa. It may come as a surprise to many that many of our so-called elite and leaders carry out policies that are promulgated against the continent by western powers and elite.
There was a case in Jos ,plateau state where a young doctor investigated the infertility of a group of women within an age group a side effect of an immunisation/vaccination.
It doesn't just end with depopulation and genetically engineering viruses for profit, their plans also extend to world domination. They control the economy of the world and those few countries who aren't in subjugation are often referred to as unfriendly .
Now,there are myriad of societies that are working to see this through and have even achieved monumental success as they decide who governs the powerful countries of the world. Their members are powerful and wealthy to influence the world events and economies.
Many may doubt the existence of a such and whether pple are capable of such wickedness but I think we all know that the human mind is capable of many thoughts. These pple believe in what they do so vehemently as a normal christian or muslin believe and hold on to their faith
To them, the rest of humanity are mere social animals.

omenka: What a shame.

This admin has taken deceit to an all new level and the people can't seem to understand that as long as they keep repeating thesame task using thesame methods over and over again, they would continuously get thesame results!

All these failures are so glaring the govt couldn't but rely on the sentiments of the people by propagating ethnoreligious politicking that would no doubt ensure their continuous hold on power and the perpetual subjugation of the population.
I had to quote you because in just two short paragraphs, u have brilliantly enumerated the tricks of the govt and the gullibility of the masses. This truth you have written doesn't just come by being educated by having a sound mind. Keep up the work bro!

Poor education, negative sensitization of issues, divide and rule phenomenon causing bigotry. No proper orientation programs and awareness campaigns and poor socialisation process has resulted in a youth that is so full of bigotry, low thinking individuals devoid of objective analytical Thinking.
The youth are the worst of all the issues we have. They are at the receiving end of poor admin yet do nothing but sing praises for small constructions like roads and such.
Many can't even picture an ideal Nigeria, having been sold to mental slavery.
I thank God when I see a few who aren't caught up in the web of ignorance. It leaves some measure of hope.

ikevin: are you referring to Nigerians as fools or I don't get you. In as much you don't like the presidency, am quite sure the holy book talks about respect for the elderly ones. That is the president with the first and second ranked northern rulers, yet you are so cavalier to spew disrespect. Can you defend you comment in the next 40 years if you are seeking for votes, " fools come and vote for a fool to rule this foolish country" abi . Use your vote in 2015 wisely and stop insulting people's parents.
one problem we have in this country is what you just mentioned. Respect. Most times even when not deserved. Respect and even pseudo-worship. Even when these pple you want us to respect are thieves? No no no! I don't do that kind of respect. Respect is deserved. So even a ten year old has my respect if he performs to or beyond expectations.
I am not in that prison of undue respect and worship.
About seeking votes, do you know there are credible pple who don't want to be involved in naija politics because its polity is bad? Such pple already know how the youths have been reduced to low thinking bigots.
Surely, not everyone is a fool in naija. You aren't the only one who read the message. Those who know they don't belong to the class of fools simply liked or ignored it.
When the wise amongst a pple are so insignificant, How would you address all?
Have we not as a pple voted for wrong pple amidst better ones? No sir, I won't want to contest for any political position in this kinda structure of our polity.

This is the problem with us, we are so wise that common sense elude us.

why we no longer care about anything but
money, but no one has scientifically proved
that poverty erodes the human sense of value.

This article is the simple truth. The writer of this piece is one of a very few in this country who are idealistic and objective.
Even this thread won't get enjoy much participants thus depicts the kind of youths we have. The above quoted is the major problem of this country.
The youths shout disintegrate Nigeria but fail to see that the same problems would linger in all the respective regions. Imagine a Niger delta with asari dokuba as politian. I am yet to see any region that won't be burdened with corruption, nepotism, bigotry and mediocrity.
