This is one of the major reasons you people lost the election. You insult any and every one who doesn't seem to be on your side, forgetting that who doesn't support you today can support you tomorrow. But when you insult people willy nilly, you tend to make enemies for life. And the worst kind of enemy you can make is one whose real identity you don't even know
Rubbish!!! By the time you realize that BAT sold you guys for one Kobo, herdsmen would have taken over Southwest.

My wife and I are both AS and we have three children (one AA and two AS). It was a very hard decision and we didn't exhale until the genotype result of the last child came in. We married young and I am convinced our ages played a part in making us gather the liver to do something that risky. I'll not advise another to do that, ours was exceptional good luck. lipsrsealed

[quote author=chaloskyx post=122128503]So let me get this straight the EX prime minister of Britain visits Nigeria, obviously him aim is to convince the country to switch allegiances from China and BRICS to the EU. but what is even more insulting is for him to become an EX prime minister before thinking of visiting us? it only shows us he rates us lowly as a country. why couldn't the current prime minister pay us a visit? also can the UK give audience to Obasanjo, Jonathan or any of our ex presidents? like i have said the only reason for this visit is because they fear the rest of the world are turning away from the west and shifting allegiances to BRICS. Just recently the VP of US visited a host of African countries but neglected Nigeria does that not speak volumes? and to add insult to injury they send an EX prime minister to represent them? if Nigeria likes let it not do what's best for her people and continue serving the interests of countries who don't regard your existence unless their interests are involved[/quote

Blendy that was a demonisation of adoption. The family you described is a wicked and greedy one and what they did has nothing to do with the child being adopted. There are cases where women and their biological kids are also chased away and all properties shared by their father's relations. Your opinion is highly respected here and that is all de more reason why you should edit what you say better and not generalise. Thank you madam.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Comandclem Patentees Assembly by ogbuebo(m): 12:07pm On Jul 28, 2011
Dear people, I decided not to get involved anymore but this matter is beginning to assume an unacceptable dimension. This thread is meant to educate and offer information, not so? A lot of people I know are patentees and many of our junior ones in school used their fees to register as patentees so a lot of people are involved and interested.

I am worried about the bickering that is going on rather than the provision of quality information. Missuzoma, Banjo, Omokemesi, Saibuhari, Airmark etc, is it possible for you all to drop your guns and talk to each other with respect?
The issue now is whether a case was filed at the supreme court on not, abi? Missuzoma, how are you sure he quoted a fake number and Banjo how do we know the number is REAL? Can any of you offer concrete proof before shouting at each other this way?

Again, I ask why is this case still not been mentioned by any other medium apart from Liberation newspaper? This case is capable of liquidation Mobil worldwide and ruining Nigeria so why is such a big thing not being reported? Banjo, please tell your people to take the case paper to media houses, ask for the head of the judicial desk and hand it in. such a huge case cannot be ignored even without a brown envelope.

The silence on the case in the media is the reason many people doubt that you filed it. When was it filed? What did you ask for from the court? Some of the time, the problem is that the case looks odd or that a good look at it convinces one that there is a huge credibility gap; you know that many newspapers are now employing lawyers to man their judicial desks and also retaining very senior lawyers as consultants to monitor their judicial sections. Many people are waiting to read about the case in the media.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Comandclem Patentees Assembly by ogbuebo(m): 8:08pm On Jul 18, 2011
I can see it will be impossible to make you face de truth which is that de mobil media bribes story might be false. Remember your enemy can also convince you he has bought over everyone so as to demoralise you. As for winning five out of six cases it depends nn what you call cases. Abacha and shell were fighting MOSOP but who got more serious injuries? If you must stick to your views which are mostly based on unsubstantiated bits and pieces then you will have problems dealing with certain classes of people , journalist inclusive. Very serious journalists inclusive. I repeat keep an open mind and inform senior officials of Ccnl to first marshal their points out clearly and bring out cold bare facts and tell a straight cordioated story or else de press briefing will be a thorough waste of time. Emotions do not count much in law just de hard cold facts. I rest my case and will not write on this matter again. It seems a waste of time and energy.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Comandclem Patentees Assembly by ogbuebo(m): 7:11pm On Jul 18, 2011
Banjo, you can summon five key judicial reporters to a briefing right there at Ccnl office and give each ten thousand naira as brown envelope if you must do that plus five bottles of soft drink. As for mobil paying monthly i was in a position to know and benefit if that ever happened. Remember MOSOP shell and Ogoni? I was a bureau chief right there at de hot zone and shell could not stop MOSOP stories despite its economic muscle. You got a strong memo and risk a recall when you miss MOSOP stories and yet we took nothing from them. I tell you that mobil does not have de power to suppress de story if you plan well. Remember that de amount involved is almost nine times nigeria's total foreign reserve. Banjo sharpen your fighting tools in this matter. Forget de so called demons and plan well. What is happening also shows that your organisation has not tried to be open minded and to make friends over de years. I know how very prominent human rights lawyers fought for such issues over de years without collecting a dime. Maybe if you forget about mobil and its agents and also allow more open and free discourse you can make more useful friends. Shouting slogans have not helped one bit and you never can tell who you have been attacking in this assembly. Thank you.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Comandclem Patentees Assembly by ogbuebo(m): 2:53pm On Jul 18, 2011
I beg to vehemently disagree with Banjo on de reasons de media are silent on dis case. I was a journalist for sixteen years and left after getting to a high level. There are some issues you cannot suppress no matter who you are or how much bribe you can offer. The amount involved is too huge, we are talking of about #40 trillion naira. Even de Guinness book of records people should be interested. As for de one million naira per week to pursue de case at AIT, that is nonsense. It is either your people spoke to a crook or decided to act on hearsay. All you needed to do if indeed any case involving that amount was filed is to accompany de papers with a summary of de struggle and then send to judicial desks of media houses. At most you can call a press conference of five judicial reporters from major media houses and you wont spend more than fifty thousand. It is bad that inefficiency and lack of information is de problem here while mobil and its agents bear all de blame. Very soon someone will hire an incompetent lawyer and then claim that mobil bought all de justices of de supreme court. It is either this case has not been filed or was not filed well or that there is something about de case know to de media that makes them believe Ccnl is clowning or talking nonsense. Do your homework well with competent hands and stop blaming unseen agents of mobil for your shortcomings. Enough said for now.
