My POE at Heathrow was very exhaustive and drilling but thanks to this blog I was very ready.
My first mistake was saying I was staying 2 weeks in my landing card but yet booked hotel for 7days as that was my initial plan. He was looking for a loophole and wen he saw one. He held to it. At one point asked for medical insurance.

These guys are strict and will also want to provoke you. And will ask you same questions repeatedly. Even at one time told me he was sending us back to Nigeria.

I told him I will seek legal redress cos I didn’t breach any rules. He took us to the open place and then after 5 minutes came and let us go.

But in all. We had fun and are heading back to Nigeria(home) today .

Thank you to justwise, ogehumphries and all.

I put 12,500 pounds yearly. Also submitted a letter from my coy accountant saying am on allowances. All rent, house expenses and travels are handled by my coy my business account also showed consistent transfer of monthly allowance of 500k or more to my personal account. I didn’t submit my personal account.
Tintas:
Hi Oge, please help me out, since you don’t earn salary what did you input when asked how much you earn per annum?

Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by OgeChukwuO: 9:12pm On Dec 11, 2018
Followed this same format and included only company statement of account.
Tintas:
After the board letter , did you include the company’s statement of account or just your personal account
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by OgeChukwuO: 8:02pm On Nov 29, 2018
I think you complicated the matter by submitting personal statements and savings. Since you said company was responsible u should have sent in only company’s. Also get your accountant at to write a letter of introduction, a letter explaining how much allowance u earn and also explaining that the company is responsible for your yearly family vacation, yearly business trip and training. Show evidence of business. Receipts invoices loads of pictures. It worked for me that way even though I was also to travel with my kid. I have personal savings but I didn’t want to start explaining long deposits so every financial was company related. That’s my two cent I may not be right
Lucky4real28:
Please folks help me analyze this refusal note, I own the company but don’t pay myself, I stated I will be paying for the trip myself because I thought the company is still me. I submitted company account with 6 months turn over of 36M, balance 1.3M personal dorm account 3 months with turn over of $44,830 balance $220. And a savings account I use to pay bills with a 3 months turn over of 1.1M, balance 11k. My aim was to fund the trip from my company account, travel date is 27th December.
Travel history, Russia, SA 3 times, UAE, Kenya, Ghana. Even though I submitted reference letter stating I am a sole signatory to the company account. I was still refused.
I am filling a new form stating company will be funding the trip and I will transfer the sum to my savings account with payment reference stating “for UK trip”. I aim to use priority service so I can get a decision earlier. Please advice. Travel date is 27 December.
I don’t pay myself salary nor keep savings because I believe this is beneficial to banks, instead I reinvest my profit and tranfer out of my account for personal use whenever I want to.
I am married with kids and I also submitted 4 landed docs with combined purchase amount of 32M. Please should I just move about 1.2M to my saving and write a letter on my company letter head stating the money is for my trip to UK.

No I didn’t use a tour company. I said I paid for us to see tourist centers but there are some online but it’s at your discretion.

Also submitted my personal tax card, family pictures, letter of consent to travel with my kid, letter from her school, school fees, pictures from school, her results. Booked hotel, booked a tour slot. I didn’t submit personal statement.

Thanks Jenny. Got mine today. Visa was issued for us.

Am sorry for responding late, I have been in transit and got to London last night. My son is just one so I stated that I will be babysitting him all the through the trip and he would accompany me wherever I go so no need for childcare, I also broke down his budget of 2200 pounds at 500 Naira to 1 pound, milk and cereal 50 pounds , toiletries and pampers 30 pounds, then 2’000 pounds for miscellaneous expenses for both of us. We also noted that a comfortable accommodation is to be provided by my uncle who gave us a letter of invitation. All the best in your application

Hi Jenny @jennyhumphrey,

Please can you send me a sample of how you outlined the sorting of your sons welfare. About to apply with my 4 year old daughter. Thank you. .
jennyhumphrey:
I included an affidavit stating that I am his mother sworn at the high court, included more pictures from his birth till date( I included this in the first application but I don't know why they ignored it )addressed the reason why the birth certificate was obtained late in my additional information then included a cover letter explaining same in details, I gave example of my own birth certificate which was obtained late as the norm in the country and I also outlined how his welfare will be sorted in the UK in the cover letter. Also pray, pray and pray. All the best

Thank you
justwise:

1.State your average salary then use the additional space for info to give more details about your payment

2.Your hubby doesn't need to apply if he is not traveling

3. You need to get your tax paper to support your net income.

Regarding documents needed from your cousin ..we have answered this sort of question too many times here and its not fair to keep repeating the same thing page after page.

Please read back for an answer

Someone kindly help. Been asking for 5days.
,

I am married with a kid. My husband did his masters in Uk and also got his post study visa afterwards. I joined him at one time and we returned to Nigeria before it expired.
4 years later we want to visit the Uk. He has a cousin married with 5 kids leaving there and my kid and I will like to spend the Christmas with them.
I run my own firm for 2 years now and sincerely haven’t started working on my tax certificate. I have savings of about 2m. I run a company account but my personal current account were sometimes used for operations especially if it’s same bank.
My husband runs a contract agreement with a firm so he isn’t paid monthly but based on clientele and at the end of financial year, a certain amount is paid.
I am sponsoring the trip.

I haven’t been consistent in paying myself monthly.

My questions are
Should I fill not applicable in where they asked for monthly salary as I haven’t been sending a regular amount to myself.

Since my husband has history in the uk should he apply with us. Even though he is not going with us. Also won’t this make our budget higher

Our accommodation and feeding is sorted so what will my budget look like.

What documents can I present from his cousin
What documents can I present.

What’s the success rate if I apply for just myself and kid rather than he applies for 3 of us. His account statement may not cover us but he is also a director in my business I run.

Lastly i do not have my tax clearance. How does this affect.

Pls pardon the long write up.

Thank you. [/quote]

Now this is a serious and sincere answer. Thanks a lot.
I wanted to cut corners. Lol. Will do. Thanks
LadyGuinivere:

Azzin eh. Lol

@OP you areasking the wrong questions. And until you invest some time reading and learning will you aappreciate my point.
You do NOT PROVE ties. Nbody asks you to prove or show proof of anything in your application. What the embassy considers as ties has been discussed over and over here. I won't spam the thread with it again.
If the vo goes through your ds 160 and is satisfied with your answers, you will get a visa.
The essence of this thread is for you to go through the Transcripts and then tell yourself if you believe you should apply. Also you pick up interview tips and form filling help.
Spend two days at least going through this thread. After that you willl get a better understanding of how the process works.
Good luck

Ur hubby will be more qualified since he has a masters degree and provided he has 3+ years work experience. You both should aim high for the IELTS though. People have diff stories abt the assessment boards, I used WES n didn't have any problem with them, only with my school. As soon as school resolved it, they did my report asap. Some ppl will not agree, and I'm sure some ppl have had problems with IQAS as well. Check them both out n just pick one. Start with one and by the time you register and take the IELTS, they might be done with your report..I'm no guru in this but hope this helps abit. Cheers

Hi

Was denied in 2013. Never applied again. Didn't have kids then. Now I do. Kindly advice which is easier, going as a family or going with the kids alone or even going online. If we are going as family , what ties would we need to prove?
We want to apply and spend Xmas with my husbands late brothers family.
Please I need serious answers.
