Apus: We plenty sef
I've had to switch career and learnt a digital skill just to intentionally avoid people. I work from home now. I was checking my report cards from JSS1-SSS3. What I saw shocked me. While in school, I only used to check to see if I came first, second or third as usual. I saw my Teachers' comments: "He is an intelligent boy, but needs to socialize more". The comment was the same throughout. This new revelation shocked me cos I never knew It was that obvious then as it seemed people always wanted to be around me, probably because of my calm nature and Intelligence. Apart from family, these days I only get to meet people in church. I've come to terms with who I am. Nice one! I'm glad to see you are creating more opportunities for yourself despite the fact that you are introverted. I'm doing likewise too though I think I need to develop my public speaking skills more cause my career path and future endeavour will demand it. All the best! |

alleazardous: Exactly people often mix them together. For me starting and keeping a conversation is not a problem but I dislike social gathering, snapping pictures I feel everybody is looking at me when I do, just stay indoor, listen to music and surf the net. When I thought that I was abnormal, I found someone just like me. It's really weird but somehow I've come to terms with it. |

Jonkele: When I wrote to the Finnish embassy in Nigeria, I asked if I can come along with my dependants, I was told that I can apply for them alongside my application. A friend told me that it's better to enter Finland with your family that if you want to apply for them later, it might be difficult the reason been that of your job isn't paying enough to cater for them, them might be denied. I've seen people do it both ways and it worked for them. |

ManofStitch: Hello , I recently paid my tuition for a Bsc nursing program in Lapland , I'm in the process of getting my funds from my sponsor I'm looking at €7,000 (3.5m ) I hope this is sufficient though, I have an appointment in June although I'm yet to complete my online application on enter Finland because I'm yet to get the money and statement of account , it's nice to see people applying ...please mail me @ @ ceooladejiemmanuel@gmail.com if you have any important info to share please I wouldn't say 3.5m is sufficient but to be on a safe side, you can calculate using the black market rate considering the value isn't constant. |

I swear i no get idea of wetin them fit ask coupled with the fact that its looking like a group discussion.... Please lets help ourselves here..... From personal experience from last year's interview, the questions are centered on your motivation, problem solving, how you can work as a team during studies, how to stay connected considering the fact that some courses will be distant learning, if you have the necessary funds to see yourself through your entire studies, some questions from the essay (from the preliminary task) etc I really can't remember all but this could help |

oak202: Definitely, you can bring your wife & children I don't discredit the fact that he can bring his wife & children but I would suggest you go first then they can join you later Reason: Your purpose of moving is for studies, hence the idea of involving your family is more like a relocation plan. I don't know if it makes sense. |

Oluwathoyin: please, did you sent an official transcript from your school during the application process or you uploaded the scanned copies you have. I applied for Bsc not MSc, I used a scanned copy but for MSc it varies, some schools demand that your transcript comes from your institution while some allows you send it yourself. I will advise you read their requirements on studyinfo or the school's website. |

Alwaysgetbetter: Are you in finland now? please i will really appreciate if you could give us the processes you went through. i mean paying the tuition fee, health insurance you used, the resident permit processes and the interview, how many years permit do they give at a time, and the supporting documents submitted at the embassy. will there be red flag if someone deposits large amount of money to my account once?
please i really need someone to put me through. i have been reading this thread from the beginning and i have not seen someone explained these. I'm not in Finland yet but I'm at the stage of applying for a residence permit. For the tuition fee, I went to the bank and request for the requirements for payment of tuition outside Nigeria. I was given a breakdown what to bring, Form A to fill and the total cost my tuition will be in naira. As soon as these requirements are met, the bank will handle the rest. It takes about 3-7 working days depending on the bank. For health insurance, I used Aiico insurance which cost about #30500. You can walk into any Aiico insurance company and do it but ensure it covers €40000. You can also use Swisscare insurance, this can be done online through their website but will cost you more about 100k if I'm not mistaken. For residence permit, visit Enterfinland https://enterfinland.fi/eServices. Create an account and start filling the form. If you need further assistance I can be of help. |
