This place does not look like it is growing... look at how scanty the aerial pictures are. Except the state is going green there is nothing city like here.
Also poorly planned, I can literally see structures with no road access.
That's a village expanding to merge with nearby cities and not the city itself

Azikiwe imposed an Igbo man as the VC of UI. Heaven did not fall.
Mention anyone from another tribe that has ever being a VC at UNN.

I know your knowledge of history is limited as skewed. That is why people like you will always blame Awolowo for Ojukwu' stupidity.

I know emene axis, and nsukka and 9th Mile axis
But it can't be compared to what is in ABA, and onistha

Enugu government should focus on making the city to join 9th mile! People shouldn't be able to know they difference between 9th mile and Enugu (it's like ogidi and onistha, or osisioma and ABA)

Also nsukka and obollo afor should be looked into, fun facts is
The city glueing up there is far bigger than enugu,
Nsukka itself is okay, for sure
But those rural areas joining nsukka from obollo afor needs to be checked
The rugged Udi hills makes it difficult for Enugu to join 9th Mile that's why all Enugu expansion is towards Nike. As for Nsukka area, apart from Nsukka main town, the rest are very reluctant towards selling lands. That's a major obstacle in that axis otherwise the emerging urban area is far larger than Enugu as you said

This was before Nigeria's independent and Nigeria factor, the outlook of the actors show a lot on the side of wellbeing even though they didn't have much in terms of material substance they looked very much healthier
Lagos factor always mislead our SW brothers. They did not start acting before others neither do they dominate it at the moment. They only enjoy more hype and publicity through the Lagos factor

His own definition 0f rural development is presence of commercial banks. Town like obukpa, ibagwa, opi are like 10-15mins drive to Nsukka. From Ogurute to obollo-afor is not more than 20mins.
Agulu to Ekwulobia is how many minutes?

I only asked a simple question? undecided

For for information, rural areas that are gradually becoming a boisterous town in Enugu State from the ones I can remember are...

Obukpa,
Orba Nsukka
Ibagwa-Aka
Ugwuogo-Nike
Mgbowo
Iwollo
Ikem
Opi and a host of others that I can't remember now.

These were some so called rural areas few years back that are currently boasting of some better infrastructure per Nigerian Standard. Just like the ones in Anambra.
We know this, but not up to Anambra level. Opi, Ibagwa, Enugu Ezike are yet to attract commercial banks. Of all the places you mentioned only orba has one bank

Enugu government can not revitalized coal without Federal government approval...
The current FG will never approve anything good for the SE...

Coal still supplies just over a third of global electricity generation even though it is the most carbon-intensive fossil fuel. While coal is being gradually replaced in most countries for power generation, it will continue to play a crucial role in iron and steel production until newer technologies are available... International Energy Agency
Dangote is mining coal in Gombe and transporting it by road to power his cement factories.

Guy you be mugu. It's Seplat project with an FG gas company. Seplat is not just a contractor but joint owner. This is different from KKK Pipeline executed by OilServe, another igbo company owned by Emeka Okwuosa. OilServe is just a contractor in that particular project but ANOH is different, Seplat is joint onwer with a subsidiary of NNPC

You were earlier blabbling that 'ibos had the major shareholding' until i bursted you and then you changed the claim to 'equal owner". First of, ALL mineral resources beneath the soil belongs to the FG, whether the gas in Rivers or Imo. Secondly, NNPC deployed money, personels and equipments used to drill out the gas deposits, thirdly, there was a bid for the project and FG awarded it to a successful bidder. Meanwhile, the issue of JV is a secondary issue.
You are very dumb. Igbos are majority shareholders in Seplat while Seplat is equal owner with NNPC in ANOH project. Be guided

It is only by official report that could say otherwise. As we speak, ND has the highest gas deposits. This project, however, is an FG project awarded to SEPLAT. There's NOTHING like 'igbos kept their own at home'.
After completion, FG can pipe it to wherever they feel like.
You need help. We are not your mates abeg. You inferior minority tribes have been raped and fleeced and left with nothing. They can't try shyte with the great igbo nation, their nightmare.
This is our project, this is our gas.
Seplat is equal owner with NNPC subsidiary and put their investment in Imo, if it's entirely FG we know it would have been Rivers. Wherever they pipe the gas our brothers at Seplat take their profits unlike Shell milking Niger Delta gas and packing the money to their country

Ignorance indeed is a disease, some ignorant folks talk as if the huge amount of gas we consume in Nigeria comes from the SE but from the news above, the only gas project in the SE is just nearing completion as it was awarded by Buhari administration a few years back and the bulk of the gas are majorly for cooking purposes. The gas we have been using for over five decades to power our electricity and domestic use comes from the Niger delta and that's the region with the highest gas deposits in the country.

Nobody ever said that the gas we have been using came from SE. We only said that SE has the largest gas reserve which is true. We all know Ogun and Lagos have been using gas from Escravos. Niger Delta na mugu, Obasanjo carried their gas to Ogun, northerners carried their oil to Kaduna. But Igbos kept their own at home, built by our own Seplat (Austin Avuru and ABC Orjiakor are the largest shareholders and are both Igbos)
