Dear NAIRALANDERS, Sorry to bring this topic here, but I need to warn you on the activities of scammers on Nairaland.
Please beware of DAMTUNE, or any other name he wishes to adopt now.
In my bid to patronize and support a hussling young chap, I saw his advert on Nairaland and called him to buy 16gig data from him and he assured me that he was genuine.
Based on trust, I sent N3,000 credit to 0816-335-5485 as he requested and he switched off his number immediately. Once I use another number to reach him, he cut the call immediately he hears my voice and block the number.
He has discouraged me and other people from patronizing genuine young chaps who are trying to make ends meet.
DEAR NAIRALANDERS PLS BEWARE OF THIS SCAMMER IS NUMBERS ARE 08163355485 & 07056600490.
HE IS DUPING PEOPLE WITH FAKE DATA SALES.
See his poster and our conversation below.

God bless you man. toluls: You don't need to go to the bank to pay. Just make sure you have sufficient funds in your Naira MasterCard. Then make the payment online. They'll debit you the naira equivalent and remit the dollar value to whoever you are paying to.
I made the ICES payment online. |

Hello Toluls, I went to GTB to pay for WES and was told that I can't pay in Dollars without a Dollar account. Please how did you pay with your Debit card. 234ng44uk: 276 Naira to 1 CAD, they are armed robbers in that bank. Even Aboki exchanges for 270. Best is to find dom and get a dollar MasterCard, I think. |

Hello my Sis, was your hubby's reference letter from place of work addressed directly to the Assessing body or 'To who it may Concern' Please help. Do you think they will accept 'To whom it may concern'? suzzyallen: Hello, I'm a silent reader. I just want to encourage other people by sharing my PR journey as I have also equally learnt a lot from other people's experinces. My family and I decided to apply for Aussie PR in 2016. In March 2017, due to hubby's IELTS score (L8S7W7R9), he couldn't get up to 60 points to apply for 189. So, we decided to apply for NSW 190 visa, and to our surprise, we received ITA in 2 weeks. Lodged visa on May 10, 2017 and did PCC and Medicals a 16days after following CO contact.
We were very hopeful that we would receive the grant latest September 2017 as the process seemed to be moving fast for us. It wasn't easy waking up everyday checking email with the hope of getting the golden email. It was so emotionally draining. However, instead of the grant, we got a Natural Justice email in October 17, 2017. It was not a happy moment . Apparently, the HR of my husband's company made a mistake with his date of birth while responding to DIBP during employment verification. They gave a wrong year of birth but correct date and month of birth reducing his age by almost 10 years in comparison with his real age. This casted a big shadow on the genuineness of my husband's claimed employment. So, DIBP wanted him to prove that his claimed employment was not phony. They also wanted clarify some other issues with his letter of reference and his pay slip.
We contacted a MARA agent for a way forward as we were confused about what to do. The agent requested for AUD4500, which we couldn't afford at the time. We then decided to respond on our own with God on our side. Thankfully, hubby's HR agreed to rectify the mistake and sent DIBP a mail to that effect. On our own, we came up with and submitted a 64-page response with evidence supporting the genuineness of his employment in November 10, 2017.
In January, 2018 my hubby suggested that we explore Canadian PR since we had not heard from DIBP following submission of NJL response in November. I wrote IELTS in Feb 2018 but verification of my credentials took a while so I entered the pool in April, 2018. Received ITA in May 2018 (at this time, our mind was off Aussie PR as we were trying to gather documents for Canadian PR visa application). On June 12, we were contacted by Aussie COto redo PCC and Medicals ####HOPE RENEWED.
Morning of July 6, 2018 as I was preparing for work, hubby suddenly screamed "granted". I was startled, then he showed me the golden email. IED 29th November, 2018. It was like a dream. After 13 months of waiting, we thank God, PR LANDED. Just to encourage everyone that there is hope after NJL.
Now on to the next phase Have 3 months to pack. Sydney here I come......... |

I am deeply grateful Trastar. trastar: You will get positive assessment. My advice was based on the visa available for that occupation whereas your degree can get you 190. Since it can't be aligned to valuer, I guess you can as well just stick with facility manager. Who knows what the new list will bring. |
Travel › Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Ogenedo: 5:59pm On Jul 01, 2018 |
Thanks for your response Trastar. However, the places I have worked would only Reference me as a Facilities Manager and not a Valuer, also my employment letter also carries Facilities Manager. Hence, I don't know how to align it to fit into a Valuer. Do you think VETASSESS will not give me a positive outcome if I nominate for facilities management? trastar: I'd say align your work experience and reference to match that of a valuer. Your degree will get your positive assessment for Valuer and it's non-prorata. Someone got NSw 190 nomination for it with 10 points in English too. |

At the moment, due to maintenance, I'm unable to log on to skillsselect to see what document is required. However I was just wondering what extra thing do I need to include in my application to ensure a direct grant??
