Firstly LP is a far less dirty party compared to PDP and APC, and sometimes that also influences the performance of an office holder.


Secondly if you think any state in Nigeria has experienced development as it should in the past 24 years of democracy in Nigeria, then you are only being ignorant.


This jubilation you see here is not just about governance only but about the will of the people getting fulfilled, something most states didn't achieve because of desperate people in power cheating the people with the election outcome.

Africans naturally are people who love celebrating when they achieve something not the same way the whites do, so this jubilation is not just about governance only but fulfillment or is Abia the only state that has suffered in the past 8 years from Fulani herdsmen, high cost of inflation, scarcity of fuel, scarcity of the naira, high dollar rate, kidnappings and so on? Because the last time I checked, there are states that have suffered worse than Abia and did not jubilate like this even with a new governor in place or the people there don't want good governance too?

What you saw in the presidential election is renewed hope in the electoral system and then Nigeria happened once again. Voter aparthy is a thing in Nigeria especially SE. So everyone felt there was no need standing in the sun and rain(like in the presidential election).

So loyal party members were the ones who voted with few people who had scores to settle. Even in Lagos, the numbers were very much different.

If the presidential election was conducted and all the rules followed as INEC said prior, people will be ok with whatever results that happened but for the fact that the rules were changed when the game has started renewed people's beliefs that Nigeria can never get it right

I live in Jos, during the presidential elections, Igbos came out in mass along with the indigenes to vote for Obi but the Igbos failed to turn up when it was time for them to collaborate and plant a governor of the indigenes choice. Being the commercial capital of the country, u woukd find more people there. Those people there pay tax, and their tax also used by the state government. It is not for free.
Where people reside, they have right to talk about politics. I don't reside in Lagos, I don't talk about it.
If u want people who aren't yoruba to stop talking about Lagos, pls join us to demand for Nigeria to be broken up. This way, regions can have the control of their own resources and build their own sea ports, airports, and rails the way they want.
U can have a centralized system of govt where everyone resources which comes mainly from south east and south south, fund the entire country while the HQ of these companies are in Lagos which is normal for any commercial hub, and u expect people not to live there and participate in politics.

Many people were intimidated and outrightly denied from voting , esp in LP strongholds. Also Sanwo and the Lagos agbero only picked up steam in the last week before elections , if the elections were not postponed by a week, Sanwo would have lost except only by INECS direct intervention.

We all now know that INEC is in Tinubu's pocket.
