Image123: You still fail to understand simple politics. Politics and elections is a game of numbers. LP lacked and still lacks the structure to win a presidential election. It doesn't mean that they don't have places where they are strong but their strength is not enough nationally, they lack the spread and structure. That's simple arithmetic. The factors of tribe, religion and poor FG performance/policies played out heavily in favour of LP as people voted against the ruling party. Those factors are largely removed in state governorship elections. There's no North versus South or tribe versus tribe battle or Muslim Muslim ticket emotions to vote against here. So most states will not have the effect like presidential. Only ipobic dominated areas like South East and social media warriors dominated areas like Lagos and Abuja can have strong LP showing. Evidently, no Abuja elections, so remains Lagos. That's why i didn't write them off for Lagos. Doesn't mean LP will win. exactly what pple don't know... Politics is Loca... They ll understand better by Saturday... I hope nweke wins in Enugu though man is sound... I don't know why PDP no use am since |

crowther15: Why did you attach so much weight to Plateau? Abia and Enugu more or less like a done deal. LP won 11 states, and out of these 11, some gubernatorial candidates work assiduously for LP success in their respective state. The guy up North did almost nothing, and it reflect on the result. how come LP didn't win a single nass seat in plateau? Got elections isn't president u guys ll understand better later |

Abia Enugu Plateau Lagos Rivers...
Maybe Kaduna
As for the other states, it would be herculean.
Good luck to them. apart from kaduna south where LP get mouth again... Don't overate LP abegi |

Felabrity: LP candidates likely to win their elections:
(Depending on how rooted they are) Plateau candidate chance 90% Abia candidate 80% Rivers 60% Lagos 40% The rest under 30%
This is the reality on ground, PO winning their states does not mean they will have an easy ride plateau is between PDP and APC forget last Saturday results... Lagos ll still go to APC... The only place LP can win is Abia.. maybe Enugu... Aside that no much hope.. u know Why politics is Loca... And nobody send Obi wave on Saturday.. |

Igbos are not interested in the likes of Orji Uzor Kalu as senate president, a man regarded as a prodigal son, an outcast, efulefu...
Igbos only support the best and if Okorocha had been in Obi's political shoes, some of us would have remained indoors during the last general elections. If Osinbajo had been in Tinubu's shoes, he would have shared SE's votes with Obi.

TheNiceGuy: For fairness, if Senate President should come to South, let it go to South South.
South East deserves nothing in the incoming administration, aside the fact that they gave insignificant votes to APC, 90% of their Leaders in APC are against Tinubu's Presidency.
Aside Umahi, Uzodimma and Ken Nnamani if he were to be in APC, Others doesn't hide their hatred and disdain towards Yorubas.
The likes of Onu, Okorocha deserted Tinubu.
Ungrateful Ngige deserted him and even voted against Tinubu.
Nwajuiba took him to Court so that his candidacy is nullified.
OUK prefers Northerner should have the ticket instead of Yoruba, he aligned later and was still doing anti-party in his State.
They deserves no Senate President, we should start appreciating who supports us not the other way round
Godswill Akpabio should take it While Oshiomhole as principal officer since he's a first timer APC should allow nass pple campaign and compete so let the Most popular takes it.. tinubu himself opposed consensus during APC president primaries... By now parties should realize imposition is bad... |

seborrhic: 7 if not up to 10 senate seats and about 40 something HOR seats, making it now a 3 main party assembly, that's quite significant and to be applauded, not made light of. Don't also forget the APC and PDP, especially the former,is likely to lose some seats, particularly in the HOR,where little margins, cancelled wards or polling units results can change the tallies and thus outcome of HOR results. A competitive multiparty NASS,with at least 3 parties having significant members, not just the odd 1 or 2 of a third party,is very good for our democracy. If labour keeps to its ideals and principles, expect more formidable politicians, especially those of means, from the 2 major parties, who are aggrieved for one reason or the other, and also new ones, that have been systematically disenfranchised when competing as nominees under APC or PDP,but have the resources,to also join the LP.The influx of these set of politicians will come because they would now believe the LP throughout the federation, now has not just the "structure",but most importantly, the chance of winning any election it goes into. Imagine LP with 5 HOR in Lagos, where PDP has tried for decades to make inroads, but had at best had 1or 2 Hor.LP winning Abuja senate and 1 of 2 HOR there! These are seats that politicians will strive very hard to win. Don't also forget that though Obi is the arrowhead of the LP and the reason for it's remarkable performance, the Nigerian labour Congress,NLC,officially identifies with the party and don't think would easily allow a situation where people that won elections under the LP banner, like typical Nigerian politicians, decamping to the ruling party at their whims and caprices. I think LP has come to stay and would only grow from strength to strength hencewords, particularly if they can make obi it's continued arrowhead and have another Obi like figure beside or behind him. A Kwankwaso like Northern politician joining the LP,standing beside Obi,would really make the LP a "dangerous" and feared opponent to go into any election with. they would still Fall back to PDP... APC PDP still has enough majority... |

We have more South South people in Lagos than Igbos. These bigoted ur.chins who failed terribly in geography will learn a bitter lesson.
