CirclesonTv: Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has expressed that people opposing him are indirectly causing harm to their interests. He made these remarks while addressing his supporters and members of his faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state on Saturday.
It has been noted that Wike has been engaged in a conflict with Siminalayi Fubara, the Governor of the state, for reasons that are not entirely clear.
Wike emphasized, "Those who continually oppose me are essentially working against their own best interests. It is important to recognize that this is just the beginning. We possess the necessary capability to navigate these challenges. Contrary to their efforts, we will engage in constructive dialogue and pursue effective strategies for the betterment of Rivers State. The current approach is ineffective and will not yield the desired outcomes."
Wike has affirmed his commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while simultaneously collaborating with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and potentially serving as a Minister in Bola Tinubu's administration.
Wike go and rest you have lost, you are not the first neither would you be the last, I appreciate you for the sent forth you did for the jobless 27 lawmakers, you are a leader, we are also planning a very loud sent forth for you 😂
oyichi: I laugh in kuvuki language, ordinary men want to inpeech a governor, stop fooling around, you are no longer lawmakers, grab your nets and go fishing, jobless fools
They should go and impeach him, which Chief judge will they be using not that of Rivers State,
Chinjo2: Fubara must have really knocked Wike in his blokus. That's the reason why he shouts Fubara everyday.
Fubara is making Wike go crazy 🤣🤣🤣, the guy go naked very soon, holding this meeting will not make the lawmakers legitimate lawmakers they have decamped and lost their seats, they will never be paid or recognized, if he likes he can hold another program next week very soon Fubara would start closing down businesses that host them. They can move to Abuja and hold their programs let's see how many of them can move to Abuja.
Now it's getting clear to Samuel nwanosike and Chidi Lloyd you hardly see them around claiming chairman of LGA 😂😂😂
Don't join issues with him, he is far too low for you, even if a PDP primaries is done today you will still defeat him and he will come and beg to be VP
Wike rest for goodness sake, there's nothing you say or do for now concerning Fubara, it clear and obvious he pass you, stop all this program and Thanksgiving just to spite him Fubara pass you
There was a political solution for states to conduct LGA elections so that money can be paid directly to the LGA and the president and the governors agreed to a 3 months or more to enable those states without elected LGA chairman get their elections done.
Una don start again tomorrow they will start collecting the government properties around the world, we don't know how the last one ended,. please check your contracts documents before you sign if you can't engage me.for a little fee to help go through the document, not tomorrow they will have a court judgement from Ghana to collect ask rock
chrisxxx: Put all of una together as he said he is bigger than you all.
Bigger ke, he would be cut to size, all his bragging to Tinubu that he owns PDP will be clear when Tinubu returns from his sick leave, PDP would have dealt with Wike, the only is his bigger than are his weak balls.
With 27 lawmakers he could not even ok initate an impeachment proceedings against sim, all his good at is get fake judgement that will not be obeyed. By December watch how he would disappear from the political scene
chrisxxx: You people should go to Court. Are you afraid? This is democracy. What has Wike done? If he is wrong go to court and prove it.
Just look at go to court for what, when you misbehave at home you father will go to court abi, ode just wasting the time of the courts, they can suspend him or better still expel him, you are asking what has he done, go and ask your father at home since you have no sense, small child coming into adult discussions
Glimpsetv: Adedeji Adeleke, the father of music star Davido, has revealed how a government official attempted to block his $2 billion power plant project by denying him the necessary environmental permit.
Speaking at the Seventh Day Adventist Church’s General Conference Annual Council in Maryland, USA, Adeleke shared his experience dealing with difficult government officials. One official, in particular, boldly told him that the project would never “see the light of day.”
Adeleke explained: “I am a businessman in Nigeria, involved in the electricity business. I own a power plant that generates about 15% of Nigeria's electricity needs, and I have Chinese engineering companies working with me.”
He further revealed that he is constructing Nigeria's largest power plant, a 1,250-megawatt facility set to be completed by January 2025. However, during the process of obtaining permits, he faced significant challenges. His environmental permit was denied, and an official told him the project would never move forward.
"But while he was saying that, I was thinking to myself, ‘this man is talking as if he is God.’ I prayed to God because whatever the official said was not final."
Despite the setback, Adeleke reassured his Chinese partners, who were worried about the project’s future, especially since it involved the Afrexim Bank of China. He had already invested heavily in the design and preliminary stages, and the blockage seemed like a major setback. However, after praying, he received a surprising call from the Ministry of Power, asking him to visit the minister’s office.
“When I arrived, I was handed the permit. I didn’t know what happened, but I later found out that the official blocking the permit had fallen ill and was flown to Germany for treatment,” he recounted.
Rounding off his speech, Adeleke added: "I don't know if it has worked for you, but it has always worked for me. That it seems that prayers that are said on the Sabbath day are answered faster than other prayers." This remark caused the congregation to burst into laughter.
He continued: “I have heard rumours about church leaders, elders, doing all kinds of things, but it has not affected me because I have always said to myself that we are all human beings, that anybody can be tempted, and I am not going to allow any behaviour of a pastor or a president or whatever in the church to affect my focus, because my focus is our Lord Jesus Christ.”

adenigga: The World Bank has urged the federal government not to reverse the ongoing economic reforms, warning that it may have negative implications for the country.
Removal of fuel subsidy and abolishing multiple foreign exchange systems were policies introduced by the current administration on day one in office.
While the federal government has consistently defended the policies, many Nigerians have complained about their implications on the masses.
Pump price of fuel which was N198 at the time the government of President Bola Tinubu removed subsidy, now sells above N1,000, while naira which traded below N600 for one dollar is now above N1,700 in the parallel market.
Speaking at the launch of the Nigeria Development Update (NDU) report in Abuja on Thursday, the World Bank Country Director for Nigeria, Dr. Ndiame Diop, said while the reforms may bring hardship, they were necessary for the nation’s long-term stability.
Diop warned that, “Reversing these reforms would be detrimental and would spell doom for Nigeria.”
In the same vein, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, emphasized the commitment of the federal government to sustain its reforms.
“Any effort that is not sustained will be a waste. Together with the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Minister of Budget and National Planning, we’ve been discussing how to stay on course, tackle inflation and ensure we move in the right direction.”
Edun further explained that the government’s focus is on reducing inflation while ensuring investments flow into critical sectors such as industry, where jobs can be created as the country is expecting huge investments in the coming days.
This is not the first time that World Bank would take such stance on Nigeria.
At the 30th Nigerian Economic Summit (NES30) in Abuja last week, the World Bank Senior Vice President and Chief Economist, Mr. Indermit Gill, urged the Tinubu administration to sustain ongoing reforms despite the hardship.
He said Nigeria requires the next 10 to 15 years to establish itself as a leading economic power, in sub-Saharan Africa and the global stage.
But Country Director of ActionAid Nigeria, Andrew Mamedu, rejected this, saying the World Bank chief’s comment was insulting to the millions of Nigerians living through unprecedented economic hardship.
These reforms are actually from world bank as guarantees for loans, you will not see any reforms from world Bank to stop politicians from stealing, but the one to make the people suffer they Will dance around naked to achieve that, our problem is world bank and our greedy politicians

You should address your pettiness to Akpabio who talks anyhow, is DSS there to stop the impeachment or to maintain peace should there be any two fighting.
Odin13: Wike is already getting close to his political end.
And he’s feeling it.. all his noise and braggadocio is over.. himself don dey humble since last weekend Bala dealt with damagun and his associates.
PDP has resolved its differences and the acting chairman must give way..
In Rivers , he has lost the grass root
At the National.. Tinubu his ally has became person non grate to Nigerian citizens
At PDP.. after all spending with loud mouth of putting fire in states .. Sim made a fool of him.
His option is the appeal court decision that sim will conveniently appeal at Supreme Court wen e don do am
Pride goeth before a huge fall
Him that is down need fear no crash
Wike is about crashing hard..
And so hard he will crash … while all those his Yoruba supporters will jump fence and abandon him
Ngene..
Is it still win win for nyesomw Wike ?
Or have you abandoned him already?
Just spoke my mind, his empire has collapsed, he claimed to be all powerful but can't impeach a sitting governor with 27 lawmakers, do you call that person powerful
efighter: You people don’t know more than markets. Your own case is even worse Oghene creek boy, very soon you will all start hawking your oyel inside Lagos holdups when all cars become electric l.
Mind you, APC just won governorship election in Edo state after campaigning at different markets
You don't seem to understand, they go and campaign with security and thugs you can't do anything, but a single individual you will learn the hard way, a man traveling from Port Harcourt to Warri with his Tinubu Cap, took it off by the time the vehicle got to Choba 😂😂😂
NgeneUkwenu: If there are three names on the ballot in 2027 and they are as follows:
Waziri Atiku Abubakar Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Peter Gregory Obi
And God spares my life and the lives of the above people, I will vote for and work vehemently for the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, so help me, God!
In terms of acknowledging loyalty, economic handling, dispute resolution and having a forgiving heart, Asiwaju is a far better politician than anyone on that list.
Shawarmagirl: Remove Minister portfolio from him with the backing of Federal Might, he will amount to nothing.
Don't mind them, not a fan of Tinubu, but Tinubu was not a minister since he left office but was still powerful, if Wike position is removed a local government chairman would have more level than him, like someone mentioned the jagaban of South South that can't win a common LGA elections,. someone Fubara they flog left right center
LOVEALAIGBO: Oh…so they even swore to a affidavit!? These political prostitutes and jobbers have no iota of shame! We all saw them on tv saying they’ve defected to APC, now their feeding bowl has been snatched away from them they’re now saying ’haba….persin no fit play with una again? we never defect oh! we still dey kampke for PDP!’ Shameless things!
They are stalling the real that has to to with their defection, there's a sworn affidavit they signed at the federal high Court Abuja that they are no longer members of PDP but now members of APC, Even Wike was a live TV say they never told him before they decamped, but turned around saying they never decamped, these people can't be playing with the system, they should be taught a lesson for others to learn from.
