https://dailypost.ng/2024/10/09/rivers-crisis-its-up-to-him-wike-gives-conditions-for-peace-with-fubara/ Obey Court judgment Obey court judgment. You sef you dey obey? In 2015, Hon. Justice J.T. Agbadu Fashim granted an order restraining the former Governor from dissolving the elected LGA chairmen and councilors. He never obeyed. In 2021, Hon. Justice polycarp Herman ordered for reinstatement of Ken Poly workers sacked by the former governor. He never obeyed. In 2023, Justice R.B Haastrup restrained the FCT Minister from terminating the appointment of Abubakar Usman Faruk as the MD of the AMML. He never obeyed. In 2024, Hon. Justice Sobere Biambo restrained PDP from holding its congress in Rivers State. In flagrant disobedience to the order of the court, they went ahead for the conduct of the congress. So, my dear Gov Fubara, thank you for learning very quickly & very well. Nigerians are with you!!! Wike should go to the political class of Fubara to learn politics. He (Wike) knows nothing about management of the people. He should quit the politics and allow those understand the rule of law to do needful. |
Politics › Re: Fubara Please Learn From Fayemi, Amaechi, Ambode And Obaseki by Oghene86: 12:02pm On Oct 09, 2024 |
Emekaonline: To those who are hailing Fubara, I will advise that you go back to history and learn. Today some people are shouting and even crying about the election conducted in Edo but I can tell you that Asue should say "otilo" to that election. Just like Fubara, Obaseki conducted LGAs election and PDP won all the LGAs. He thought like any other politicians that winning and controlling the Local Governments in the state will give me the structure needed to win the governorship election for his successor without putting the FG in the equation
Besides, Obaseki erroneously believed that he had defeated the power at the center before during Buhari and that this time around, he would defeat them again. He has forgotten the two things that enabled him have a field day during Buhari. The cabal that did not want Oshiomole to continue to be chairman of APC and Buhari indifference to political struggles in the states of the federation especially when he was not be negatively affected. To make the matter worst, he called the bluff of those who supported him in the legacy PDP against Oshiomole like Wike, Orbhi and others at his own political peril
Unfortunately for Obaseki, Buhari and other haters of Oshiomole in the APC are no longer at the helm of political affairs. He did not ask himself a pertinent question if all he did and went scot-free during Buhari could still be repeated when Buhari is no longer in power. He forgot that the new Sherriff in town hates disloyalty under any guise with passion. He failed to learn from history and now he has bolted away
Fayemi had all his LGA chairmen to his side. The structure was there and very strong. But because Jonathan was not like Buhari, he following the advice and suggestions of his party PDP moved against Fayemi during his re-election. Ekiti state was locked down with thousands of security personnel and all the opposition politicians were barred from entering the State at the eve of his second term election in Ekiti. Some politicians were consigned to house arrest. The ACN/APC did not see it coming and they were so confident that there was no way Fayemi would lose in the state. Despite the so-called structure, Fayose beat Fayemi in all the LGAs. The state government and ACN party shouted but the deed was already completed.
Amaechi also thought with his performance in Rivers he would produce a successor and considering the battle between him and Wike, he also forgot the role Jonathan and PDP played in Ekiti. Amaechi moved to the APC, organised mass rally at the Rivers' state stadium with so many people and even Buhari in attendance for his new party but all to no avail. With the help of Jonathan and his wife, Amaechi's new party APC lost woefully to the federal might. Everyone saw how the the Rivers state Police Commissioner was not taking order from Amaechi but from Wike, Jonathan and his wife
It is really a high sense of political illiteracy and foolishness for anyone or even governor to think that he will beat a party or leader being supported by the federal might to the game. Such can only happen during Buhari and not even under Jonathan that people considered a gentle man.
The most shocking and unbelievable one is Ambode's. He also failed to learn from history. He had an ample time and opportunity to make amend with Tinubu in Lagos but he did not care considering the fact that he was aware that some cabals do not like Tinubu and the he would get the ticket as a sitting governor anyway. He forgot that Tinubu would be ready to put his life on the line for his candidate to govern Lagos state. Ambode learnt in a very hard way
Fubara needs to revisit and learn from history. I may not be right in all of my political forecasts but it will too difficult if not impossible for Fubara to win his second term in office except Fubara and Wike settled their differences or Tinubu and Wike fell apart politically. Nigeria's politics is too crude and dirty for anyone to think that he will win against the federal might. Rivers state will be locked down on the eve of the governorship election in 2027 while some of his supporters will be placed on house arrest as it was done during Jonathan in Ekiti. The winner will emerge and the rest will become history.
My advice is this: Fubara please and please choose your fight wisely. This is not the time of Buhari. A word is enough for the wise. Those who fail to learn from history are bound to repeat it in a painful and saddening manner It's is because of people like you that Nigeria is where it is, nothing good can ever happen in this country while people like you are alive. |

newboui: Frustrated Customers Take to the Streets Over Zenith Bank’s Poor Service, Sparking Outrage on Social Media Amidst 290Billion Naira IPO Share Sale
Zenith Bank, one of Nigeria’s leading financial institutions, is facing an unprecedented backlash over its deteriorating customer service. Reports of long wait times, unresponsive staff, and unresolved complaints have sparked outrage among customers, prompting them to voice their frustrations on social media and even stage protests outside several branches.
The ongoing digital service issues have led to a wave of customer dissatisfaction just as the bank embarks on its ambitious 290 billion Naira IPO share sale. Over the past week, customers have faced repeated struggles with basic transactions, leaving many frustrated and questioning the bank’s reliability.
One irate customer, who wished to remain anonymous, shared their experience: “I’ve been waiting for over three hours just to withdraw my own money! It’s absolutely ridiculous!” This sentiment is echoed by countless others who have taken to Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to share stories of their appalling experiences.
From malfunctioning ATMs to long queues and unhelpful customer service representatives, the list of grievances is growing. Many customers have reported issues with online banking, where transactions fail and assistance is nowhere to be found. “I feel like I’m throwing my money into a black hole,” lamented another dissatisfied client.
“I’ve never had such a horrible experience banking with Zenith Bank,” one upset customer lamented. “And now they’re asking us to invest in their shares? It’s hard to trust them when their services are so unreliable.”
As complaints mount, customers are reevaluating their loyalty to the bank. Many have reported difficulties accessing their accounts, completing transfers, and utilizing other essential services, raising concerns about the bank’s credibility at a critical time.
The hashtag #ZenithBank has gone viral, with hundreds of posts highlighting customer struggles. Videos of frustrated clients outside branches, chanting slogans demanding better service, have circulated widely, prompting even more customers to join the cause. “We deserve better!” one protester shouted.
In response to the uproar, Zenith Bank released a statement acknowledging the issues and promising to improve service. “We are committed to providing our customers with the best possible experience and are actively working to resolve these concerns,” the statement read. However, many customers remain skeptical. “They’ve said this before. Actions speak louder than words!” a former bank employee commented.
The timing of the IPO couldn’t be worse, as these service setbacks have prompted customers to reconsider their banking choices. If these issues persist, not only might loyal customers seek alternatives, but potential investors may also hesitate, casting doubt on the success of this substantial share sale.
Zenith Bank’s reputation hangs in the balance as it faces the dual challenge of addressing its service shortcomings while trying to reassure both existing and prospective investors.

Upritman: Rivers Lingering Political Crises And The Self-destructive Docility of Gov Fubara
I blame Gov Fubara for all that happened at the various local government Secretariats today. And by now I expected him to have addressed the State on this sad development under his leadership.
Nobody should come here in his defence to whip sentiments that He doesn't have the support of the Federal government and security agencies on the political crises in the State. Because the obvious difference between Sim Fubara and Nyesom Wike is that even without the support of federal government and the security agencies, a sitting Governor Wike won't have allowed this to be unleashed by his political opponents.
More so when he was fully aware of this. But what our Gov Fubara did yesterday was to merely say the plan and urge his Supporters not to do anything about it or confront them at all. And what this means and does is to give more audacity to those on the side of the FCT Minister against Him (Fubara).
A clear evidence of this was when these Wike Supporters on Saturday defiled the restriction of movement order by the Governor on Election Day and heavily mobilised themselves to storm the streets in continuation of their protests. And of course nothing happened. If not where were the supporters of the Governor when all these attacks were taking place almost simultaneously across the State?
And now I wish we could estimate the costs of these damages today across the affected LGAs. Public funds will still be used to renovate these destroyed infrastructure. Politics like the jungle is for the brave, resilient and though-hearted.
And if Gov Fubara isn't ready, then he should announce his defeat early in time. Or if He (Gov Fubara) is aware that these same characters want to storm the Government House tomorrow, will He simply say it out and continue to stay there and watch them burn Him alongside the edifice?
Like former Governor Fayose wisely advised, if Gov Fubara wants to fight his benefactor, Chief Wike, then He should strengthen his balls as a Man and do it with all his might and sophistication, otherwise He should be humble enough to go and meet Chief Wike on his knees and apologise and settle with him in order to end this silly mess.

Blessedman98: I do not support any of Wike action.
I only said that I hate Betrayers.
The truth is that the REAL reason why Fubara and Wike are fighting each other only them really knows, but it is definitely not in public interest.
Governor is fighting for himself using public funds, Ex Gov is fighting for himself using public funds.
There is nothing like Loyalty when it just for you to get what you want then turn against the person.
Even Almighty God hate people who do not stand by their promises.
A promise breaker is himself an enemy of God.
But like I always pointed out, God is simply showing Wike that God is not man.
There were political personalities who's were more competent than Fubara but because Governor Wike then ALLEGEDLY used Fubara as accountant General to loot the state stupendously he put him as Governor so that he can use his power to do cover up.
If you expose Fubara, Wike knew that without immunity Fubara will be picked since most of the funds passed through his authorisation. That's one of the major reasons Fubara was made Governor to get immunity from prosecution incase Tinubu didn't win. Now Tinubu won and Fubara has turned against him (Wike).
All they (politicians) do is for their interests. My only take is that we shouldn't be supporting such illegality.
Reason I stated that court will nullify the elections is that with my limited knowledge of electoral act, the updated voter registers were not used for the election. Additionally the candidates of the APP were not even validly nominated but that's a pre election matter which can only be challenged by APP party membership. All in All I think the court have been given too much powers to trample in the will of the people. Is betrayal a crime? |
