Culture / Re: Divorce Rate Among Yoruba Couples & Igbo Couples by OgidiBoy(m): 4:01am On Oct 07, 2011
Gone at the days when NL used to be NL, Babyosisi and TOH would have been fighting like hell just about now.

This tribalistic nonsense thread would have been locked by the MODS. And the fight would be moved to another thread. grin grin

aloy/emeka:

I don't think he was ever married to Ama's mother because his profile only shows one spouse : Nane Maria Lagergren. The name sounds Ghananian to me and not German.

Are you sure you using the same kind of computer the rest of us are using ? Maria Lagergren sounds Ghanaian ?

The lady is Swedish and not German like I originally thought.

Odunnu:

Whoever wrote that article surely doesnt know what a flood is.Pictures of houses not just one flooded would have been convincing enough, mcheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew. BTW, the house in the picture is not the kind of houses you see in Boardman/Robinson/Eze street. Hungry attention seeking writers.

My dear don't mind that aloy/emeka character, most of us already know the kind of "Hungry attention seeking writer" he is  angry tongue tongue
Politics / Re: What Is So Difficult In Road Building? by OgidiBoy(m): 11:44pm On Sep 20, 2011
I don't think we in west Africa should have an excuse for not having good roads, we don't have freeze-thaw weather most of the World experiences.

True we get a lot of rain but a good drainage system takes care of that, I just think our Engineers should be sent back to school and trained on road building.

Paving the ground, then pouring sand and leveling it with a coat of Asphalt on top don't make a road, it's only washed away with the first rain.

Sun of god:

The more modern terminology is 'Climate Change'.

Its happening throughout the world.

The reason why its occuring is being supressed - But its only going to get worse.

These events are not random occurences - Earth changes are taking place.

And as the saying goes . . . . . .Nobody will know the time or the hour when their time is up.

It seems 'Mother Nature' has had enough of us - and i dont blame her.

So what can commom folk like me do to pls this mother nature sad
Crime / Re: Animals In The East by OgidiBoy(m): 11:15pm On Sep 20, 2011
What those guys "animals"  did is wrong and I hope they are prosecuted to the fullest.

Come to think of it though, I thought NL now has a "Violent/Disgusting Non-Celebrity Crimes" section,

I would think this thread belongs there, or are we trying to make it an Igbo issue because  r .a. p. e only happens in the East.
