I often ponder the Western involvement in African affairs. They may write extensively, but the fact remains that they benefit from the wahala in Africa. It's surprising to see aid, loans, and grants provided to a country like Nigeria, which is ordinarily should support genuinely poor nations around the workd.

Consider this scenario: you have a friend who inherits a vast estate from his father, yet you choose to provide him with aid, loans, and grants. The question is, what's the purpose? Why continue to support him if his mismanagement and recklessness don't align with your interests?

I'm currently in a very bad situation right now with a technician I trusted and relied on.

I met him on Nairaland many years ago and have fixed a few cars requiring minor fixes(legs) with him.

I handed over a client's car to him since January to fix a wiring issue that was draining battery and not making car to start.

For several months, it was all manner of stories and excuses I kept hearing.

I was in the hospital for a month and just straight from the hospital with my surgical stitches fresh on me, I had to get someone to drive me to him as he claimed car was ready for pick up only for me to get there and car wasn't starting and this man disappeared and wouldn't pick my calls all through my time at his workshop.

After over an hr of waiting, I left. Same thing repeated itself another day again. To cut a long story right now, I have suffered serious reputational damage with my client who owns the car as he has totally lost confidence in me.

As I speak, it's 9 months and nothing to show for it. The said technician doesn't even pick my calls when I call him, neither does he bother to return my calls.

I've been calling for over a week now and he completely ignores my call. I'm really at a loss to how to handle this.

In my many years of selling cars, nobody has tried this nonsense with me.

Not even road side mechanics. 9 fucking months and nothing to show for it. I've had several clients wanting to buy the car but have lost every opportunity to sell the said car as it's not been fixed for 9 months.

Pls, I'd really appreciate input from the house.

Sorry for the pain the guy has caused you. The truth is, many of these technicians do not understand the complexity of the issue or they are just plain ignorant about what to do.
I am a car dealer based in Phc but I invite my technician from Lagos to fix the complex issues on some of the imported cars. If you are in Lagos I could link you up with him to see if it's something he can fix. The guy is good but like they say, nobody knows it all.

There are some universities in the USA that will admit you on scholarship and some you pay your tuition from local hustle over there. This is possible because my brothers used this means.

In politics I think, where democracy is not deep and entrenched as is the case in most of Africa, then the vision and brilliance of the President/head of State supercedes talk of Party democracy that is actually an oxymoron when Party democracy functions in the opposite ay they do worldwide.


No race has greater capacity for self-deception than black folks and especially the African variant. I cringe when Nigerians talk of APC, PDP when the reality is that not a single Political Party in Nigeria, over the past 22 years, can point to central Party leadership ethos it abides and lead by all the time.

Truth is that APC was Buhari and his acolytes thinking from 2015 to 2023.

Same as OBJ and his crew of 'inner controllers' determined how PDP worked from 1999 to 2007.

Tinubu too gave Lagos his political identity from 1999 to 2007 and beyond.

Difference is that results bore out the fact Tinubu is best because his thinking has proven superior as it has had longevity and success beyond what other Governors and Nigerian Presidents have supervised.

Your prediction is therefore base on emotions and your own bias against Tinubu and not what evidence and proven reality shows us conclusively.
