In as much as many Well-Meaning Nigerians would have wanted to be there at the hearing, the painful truth is that they may not end up being there in the end. And since there are no alternative online/virtual means for citizens to contribute to the hearing, it then means that the reviews that these well-meaning Nigerians have in their minds for which they couldn't get themselves to the venues of the hearing in order to contribute, may end up remaining with them forever.

Nevertheless, I earnestly hope that those persons who finally made it to the venues of the hearing would point out “Many” of those issues which the supposed “absentees” were having in their minds.

For me, - and that is, speaking for myself - I would be very happy if these issues I am listing here below are reviewed (or added to the Constitution):

1. All public office holders must have their children attend only public schools. This will bring some sanity and respect back to our educational system.

2. Every elected and appointed public office holder must attend govt owned hospitals here in Nigeria. No more medical tourism.

These are the 2 i have for now. Trust me if we include this in our constitution pple takin up public office will think twice before doing so

So what's if the policemen are southerners what are they suppose to do with the drinks. Btw, the police is a federal organ of govt that shouldn't be working with religious extremists but since this is Nigeria it is the police that will even escort them to steal the bottles of beer. What manner of a govt, after risking pples lives in the name of NIN registration they now come up with their useless restriction. Ever seen a headless chicken on the race track? Na so APC federal govt be.

Funny thing this same guy was accused by a young lady last year of attempted rape and that she was almost strangled to death yet the authorities let him out.

If you don't have cash to make you app forget it. You can't compete, if uber or taxify comes to your city, it is all over.

All the thing you mentioned needs cash., the app needs cash to make, you also need money to pay for some api services from Google especially if you are using their gps, server cost and other cost to make the app functional, creating an app for personal use, is different from creating an app for commercialization.

Think about an idea that is low cost but deals with transportation

We are looking to raise an initial step up capital of 30m from friends and associates. From our estimation we believe this should be enough to kick start the process and keep us in business for at least 2years. Thanks alot for your contribution brother.

Yea you right. I actually spoke with the guy that will develop the app But he said he will like to get paid for his work and not involved as a partner. We are still talking tho.

It is an option that we put on the table tho.like you said we are better off doing the administrative work without necessarily involving with the actual buying and running of the cars.
I can imagine how cumbersome and energy sapping dealing with drivers can be,thankfully, technology has made it possible to track, monitor and even get your car back thru insurance in case of theft. But like you said ar better off without that aspect.

We are still in the planning stages however, we did look at this option in one of our discussions. We talked about the possibility of getting funds to get some cars to kick start the process but then again, we can only do as much depending on what our final assessment of the business is. Right now we are here to get pples inputs to enable us put up a standard framework.

I and some friends are nursing a plan of operating our own ride-hailing company in one of the South Eastern city.
As part of our research drive I decided to bring it here to sample your views/expertise in the industry.
Here is the much I know about the business for now;
a) Develop an App or rent one
b) Get a conducive office and staff it adequately
c) Make provision for constant power supply
d) Massive adverts
e) Train vehicle premobilisation inspectors
f) Make provision for premobilisation inspection of the cars
g) Demography

This plan is still in it very early stage, I welcome any idea and remark that will edge us closer to our goal.
Meanwhile, I would like to know the following:
a) What kind of govt taxes and statutory levies are we likely to pay.
b) Are there regulatory compliance issues that we must meet at the minimum? i.e. age, model and make of car.
c) Do ride hailing companies have unions

Lets go I have my pen and paper ready to learn from you.
