If they couldnt implement the policy in the EU why bring it to Africa. The time has come for Africans to start looking at ways of using alternative platforms and possibly encourage our tech guys to come up with unique models that can compete globally.
CareerRe: RSSDA Staff Protest 17 Months Non Payment Of Salary By Wike by ogmask: 1:04pm On May 18, 2021
RSSDA that was like a star in a dark space that wike should have allowed to continue. This guys impact was felt home and abroad yet wike scrapped it. Not like they get their subvention 100% from govt which should have been a reason for his action but he still went ahead to throw the staffs into the unemployment market and the students had their dreams dashed.
Who knows what happened to the students that were already abroad before he abolished the Agency.

So, she didn't mind her business in this case telling her friend which she helped secure a job to stop dating her married boss? Sometimes, when you see something, you have to say something. Not every time is mind your business
Exactly. The world is what it is today because good people refuse to speak up.
Just imagine after helping her "best friend" secure a job people still expect her to keep quiet in the face of an anomaly

Your official duty and reasons for employment was to contribute to the growth of the company and not to become a moral teacher/adviser.

I don't care if my boss is banging the entire female staff, as long as I'm getting my salary... It's non of my business.

Fact might be you don't really care about your friend, you just jealous your boss didn't found you attractive for all the while you've been working, but you chooses your friend over you.
Lets look at it this way for a minute, assuming you assisted your sister to get a job in you place of work and then she starts banging your boss would you say this same thing.

So what's if the policemen are southerners what are they suppose to do with the drinks. Btw, the police is a federal organ of govt that shouldn't be working with religious extremists but since this is Nigeria it is the police that will even escort them to steal the bottles of beer. What a way to confront their real enemies, bandits and terrorists.

Rail transportation is a huge part of their economy. South Africa has rail lines connected to their ports.

This is good...

I just hope the government has equally constructed or is constructing a standard road that will be designated only for articulated and heavy duty vehicles to ply while dispatching/conveying consignments and containers to and fro the port? Otherwise, this is Apapa port pro max in making grin grin grin grin
It should be connected to rail instead. The trucks should wait somewhere outside the city to pick up from the trains.

Wow... never thought of this , was looking at open advert. Thanks for this suggestion.

If you don't have cash to make you app forget it. You can't compete, if uber or taxify comes to your city, it is all over.

All the thing you mentioned needs cash., the app needs cash to make, you also need money to pay for some api services from Google especially if you are using their gps, server cost and other cost to make the app functional, creating an app for personal use, is different from creating an app for commercialization.

Think about an idea that is low cost but deals with transportation
We are looking to raise an initial step up capital of 30m from friends and associates. From our estimation we believe this should be enough to kick start the process and keep us in business for at least 2years. Thanks alot for your contribution brother.

You must have at least 1 business partner who has the technical skills to run and maintain the app otherwise the cost of always using an external party will weigh you down in the beginning
Yea you right. I actually spoke with the guy that will develop the app But he said he will like to get paid for his work and not involved as a partner. We are still talking tho.

It is an option that we put on the table tho.like you said we are better off doing the administrative work without necessarily involving with the actual buying and running of the cars.
I can imagine how cumbersome and energy sapping dealing with drivers can be,thankfully, technology has made it possible to track, monitor and even get your car back thru insurance in case of theft. But like you said ar better off without that aspect.

Will u guys give out cars too?
We are still in the planning stages however, we did look at this option in one of our discussions. We talked about the possibility of getting funds to get some cars to kick start the process but then again, we can only do as much depending on what our final assessment of the business is. Right now we are here to get pples inputs to enable us put up a standard framework.
BusinessRide-hailing Service; Lets Discuss Start-up. by ogmask(op): 3:14pm On Apr 29, 2021
Hello Nairalanders,
I and some friends are nursing a plan of operating our own ride-hailing company in one of the South Eastern city.
As part of our research drive I decided to bring it here to sample your views/expertise in the industry.
Here is the much I know about the business for now;
a) Develop an App or rent one
b) Get a conducive office and staff it adequately
c) Make provision for constant power supply
d) Massive adverts
e) Train vehicle premobilisation inspectors
f) Make provision for premobilisation inspection of the cars
g) Demography

This plan is still in it very early stage, I welcome any idea and remark that will edge us closer to our goal.
Meanwhile, I would like to know the following:
a) What kind of govt taxes and statutory levies are we likely to pay.
b) Are there regulatory compliance issues that we must meet at the minimum? i.e. age, model and make of car.
c) Do ride hailing companies have unions

Lets go I have my pen and paper ready to learn from you.
