Did i hear you say represent,NO for the past 16 years of democracy what we have in the south eastern region as our representatives are selected thieves(from Abuja connection with the hausa/fulani/yoruba oligarch)and not elected representatives, lets use Abia state as a case study Orji uzor kalu and his Abuja connection got the PDP ticket for him after his tenure he then imposed Theodre Orji on Abians(you all know the rest) then Anambra in the case of Mbadinuju and Emeka Ofor, Chris Ngige and Chris Uba,Andy Uba and Obasanjo, Obasanjo and Maurice Iwu(INEC Chairman) check out all these names and tell me whether these names are actually what the old eastern region needs as their representation. thats why they find solace in Biafra because it won't be business as usual.

Then check out this state(Anambra) in old eastern that peoples choice(Peter Obi) were considered and see the development they have attained. so if you need more i can still put up many points to tell you we can be better off as a divided country than remaining as one Nigeria.

The worst is that after these so called criminals imposed as our governors and representatives finish their tenure they will either remain in Abuja or travel Abroad because they know they only satisfied the interest of their god fathers and not their people.

Check out Ikedi Ohakim that have never lived in Imo state for more than one month before was once the governor of Imo state through Abuja connection.

My brother the better solution is this, we should divide and the central government should be nearer to us because unity in diversity can only work in western world not in a black man's world because every blackman's heart is filled with tribalism, nepotism and favoritism. so to avoid these things we need to disintegrate.

The godfather thing is everywhere bro, even in the north. Examples abound. I doubt if there is any politician who sailed to power on his own. Same will happen in biafra. It is a way of life and there is little or nothing we can do.
Lemme ask you, why do you think the politicians in biafra will be different from What we have now? Do you think the rivers, delta, Edo, akwa ibom and cross river man will allow the igbo man full control of the oil resource? How will biafra eliminate marginalization especially of the minority?

You see, my brother, it is neither here nor there. What we need as a people is fairness to all. Fairness in this instance does not translate to boundaries. All we need to advocate for is the need and conscious commitment to building stronger institutions and not powerful individuals as is the case today.

Btw, I think you are married to my sister.

But still waiting for you to answer my question of what we have achieved as ONE NIGERIA.

We may not have achieved much but the blame should not go to one region. Every region in Nigeria have had one form of representation or the other at the centre. The question is 'what did they do for their region'?
Take the last administration for example, the igbos were adequately represented. From Secretary to govt to Senate deputy president to house of reps deputy speaker to minister, they were fully represented. Did their presence in govt change the face of igbo land? NO it ddnt. Nigeria may not have served the purpose Of a few but it has served the purpose of many. I tell you brother, we are better of as Nigeria than small porkets of countries.

OGMASKMAN, i couldn't reply you earlier because i was banned till April 25th but i have to open up this for the time being, have you seen why i told you that everything about this nation is wron..., why i was banned simply because i said what i believed in and its not suppose to be so which will even make you think am scared and running away from your debate.

Anyway am from Ikwerre in Rivers state, am married to an Edo lady and am also working too which has brought me in contact with the yoruba(Osun) and Hausa/Gbagyi(kaduna)people. and i have always share my view with them.

Bia... is not about War and the initiator/director of IP.B used his strict approach for his voice to be heard, because Nigeria doesn't listen to anything peaceful rather violence(Niger Delta militants and Boko Haram a case study).

Then coming to your question, YES IPOB doesn't represent the entire igbo(Biafra is a multi ethnic nation with similar culture) opinion because in every family its members can't believe in the same opinion, they must always have their different views its always a matter of those with positive opinion to convince those with the negative by telling them the reason why they should think positively. and also dont forget we must also have a saboteur in every dealings. let me stop here to continue later.

Then my question goes thus, CAN you tell me one thing we have achieved since we became the so called ONE NIGERIA.

Brother sorry for the delay. This pple ban me like say tomoro nor dey. I just finish serving my ban.

Good to know you are in phc. I am also in phc. Maybe we can see and familiarise better. I will send my phone number to your email. Tnx.

This man's talks senselessly. Is cross river States topography like Rivers state? Is their land as muddy as Rivers state? Why not probe the project to a certain where the money went? Was the scope of the monorail the same?

Are the designs and detail the same? Are they passing through land or did bridges needs to be built for them if they are crossing the road? These are issues you find out.

Rivers state needs another mode of transportation apart from road to curb their traffic issues. The population is growing faster than roads built. No amount of roads built can do that. This man should put politics aside and do what will eventually bring benefits to the people of rivers state. [/quote

I have seen the Calabar monorail. It's not same as what we have in rivers state both in scope and design. That of Calabar connects tinapa with the conference centre within same vicinity. It looks like a toy compared to the rivers monorail. Too much politics playing out here. He pretends as if he doesn't know the exact amount spent so far. He said about so and so amount. I will advise wike to go ahead and complete that project. The benefits are immeasurable. If he does, he will write his name in gold, but if he does not, posterity will judge.

How much does it cost to fence a 648 sqm area of land which is equivalent to 1 plot? Then you put into consideration extended height for the case of an Airport with concrete columns at interval. Also, not using the convention blocks but sancretes. Now, talk abt fencing an AIRPORT which is over a hundred plots with security devices (e.g. barb wire) attached to it.

It's quite expensive to do the fencing of an airport. Although, the timing isn't right because of the dwindling economic situation of the country.

Bro the timing is right ooooo. Boys need cash like oxygen to run things now. The economy is suffocating as per no cash in circulation. I gbadu ur post.

But I think the job to be done is worth the amount estimated. If one airport is about 50km long and they will do double fencing, then that money is not too much. Also consider terrain, accessibility and community relationship issues. My layman view. Pls our civil enginners and architect in the house can do a proper breakdown of iron rods, cement, blocks, wire mesh, Labour, and logistics that will be involved. Tnx.

I am set for the debate now.

I will start by introducing myself.
I am delta by tribe. I grew up in warri.
I am married to an igbo woman from ebonyi state.
My business partner is from enugu state and my best friend is from Abia state. He is from the ngwa region (he likes being addressed as such)

My point is ipob does not represent the entire igbo nation. They lack organisation and cohesion. Many of them are oblivious of the reason for the struggle.

Again, this is the perennial problem we have, even common among my Yoruba friends.

You guys have this funny, but annoying tendency to punish or denigrate the entire 32 million Igbos for the utterances or misdeeds one or a handful of Igbo people.

It shows that you don't ever know or care to understand Igbos, despite our 102 yr old marriage.

Radio Biafra is not Biafra.
Nnamdi Kanu and his radio Biafra is a radical fringe within the Igbo yearning for justice, fairness and equality within the federation.

Most Igbos, myself included, have never listened to radio Biafra nor even heard of Nnamdi Kanu till very recently.
And the far far majority do not support his rhetorics or his philosophy.

Now, as for the so called Igbo hatred for the Yoruba, it might surprise you to know that all Igbos feel exactly the same way that Yorubas have a pathological hatred for Igbos. But it's a funny kind of hatred though.

For example, we live together, eat and drink together, do business together, yet in the federal political arena, you guys( at least from out point of view) sabotage and relegate us at every given opportunity.

When I discuss with my Yoruba friends, I always ask them to define Yoruba interests and how it differs or is diametrically opposed to Igbo interests.
We usually find no meaningful difference between the aspirations of a typical Yoruba man or family and the aspirations of a typical Igbo man or family.

So it seems that agbero politicians create and float illusionary differences to maintain their own relevance from time to time.

There are many wrong assertions in your post, but I will ignore them for now.

You deserve a medal for this post. You have said it all. I said something close in one of my replies to an ipob supporter a while ago.
Good one bro.

Who will lead the onslaught on the biafran end?
Who will constitute a new govt after the biafran victory?
How much will the igbos let go in terms of investment, marriage and residency?
How closely knitted are the igbos, what is their level of unity on this issue?
Can the igbos afford an implosion (which from all indication is apparent should a war broke).
How much consultation have the war mongers make?
What will the new country look like?

Self determination must come with proper planning andexecution . You do not start an uprising against an organised country when you have not yet put your house in order. A house that is decided against itself cannot stand.

Now the problem is many biafra agitators do not know why they do so from my findings. I stay more in aba than phc these days and I have Bern asking questions on this burning issue. There is this lame believe that in biafra everybody will not only be equal, the govt will pay those without jobs and provide accommodation also.
