The question we should ask the family is when did they buy their vehicle if the police are claiming the vehicle does not have a plate number? Is it possible to be driving unregistered vehicle for 4-5years in Lagos and not have entered into troubles with Law enforcement agents? A typical policeman you see on the road has lying dna engrafted in in his Gene |

Joe4real1988: U will even be surprised to know that it's your fellow APC supporter that made that comment just to incite tribal war. We really have to be reasonable in life at a time and shun this tribal nonsense that's contributing to the decay of the country. We gave APC a chance to turn Nigeria around for a whole fuc:king 8yrs, but they failed us, voting them again because the Candidate is from Yoruba tribe doesn't make sense. If u are doing well as a person, pls consider the large percentage of the populace that are in hardship due to bad governance. Everything is not all about tribalism bro. If the Western countries we all are clamouring to go embraced tribalism/regionalism, i don't think they will be developed as they are today. If they serve u a poison with a tribal cup, are u gonno consume it? My problem is that an average igbo man could be so sentimental atimes. I am from the SW and yet i have not supported Tinubu from day one. |

I am not afraid of the magnitude of crowds that witness any campaign rally but as baba rightly put it the hardworking and intelligent Nigerian electorate who have serious business to attend to would never show up on the campaign ground. They would rather exercise their power on the election day |

43Ronin: Successful people rise from setbacks. Most of the people going to vote for obi are at work, their businesses and stuffs. I and my family members have not gone for any rally but we know who we are going to vote for.... I see those rallies as opportunities to pick-pocket or steal or where scruples & touts gather. Basically not a place I'd like to go even if I love the person God bless u. That's what majority of people failed to understand. The category of people who are completely fed up with Apc/pdp will determine this year poll. Those " yet to decide " for poll and the educated folks have already made up their minds. My sister no be politician she no dey go rally but when i asked her last week of her choice she said sebi both Atiku and Tinubu have always been actively involved in Nigeria politics may be it is high time we choose someone else. If you are faced with two evils you learn to chose the lesser one |
Politics › Re: The Meaning Of ' Gazelle Gagaraga ' (Explained) by Ogunleti01: 8:42pm On Jan 06, 2023 |
lhordspy: Gazettengr.com was where the news of supposedly Tinubu's gaffee emanatted from before been spread like wildfire by people who only takes pleasure in making mockery of the APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to their report, it reads "Yahoo boys’ in local parlance means internet fraudsters but The Gazette could not immediately find the meaning of the terminology gazelle gagaraga, despite searches in major dictionaries and thesaurus."
The news here: https://www.nairaland.com/7511552/gazelle-gagaraga-tinubu-suffers-gaffe
But what Gazettengr failed to understand is that there is no stated rules or law that you must communicate with words from 'major dictionaries or thesaurus' in political rallies.
The meaning of gazelle gagaraga There is what we call gara gara in yoruba. It means unstable or unsettled. Same as the pidgin slang 'gragra' .
We also have the word gagara (ga-ga-ra) or gagaraga (gaga-raga) used by Tinubu which means boastful, pompous, inflated, proud, made, self-important, domineering, pendantic, or magniloquence.
The south-westerners can relate; the yorubas to be specific. There is a street word: Igara (I-gara) which is derive from or shortform of gagara or gagaraga it also means boastful, inflated, proud etc. (as aforementioned)
We normally use it like 'Igara chicken': Which translate to boastful empty chicken which is only covered by plenty feathers.
Or 'Igara iceblock' which means boastful or proud iceblock which will only end up as water. These words are local street words or slangs.
Gazelle A gazelle is one of many antelope species in the genus Gazella. With a horn, Gazelles are known as swift animals.
when we use the word gazelle to refer to person or group of people. It means Proud person, something that dont stay one place easily, something that changes location swiftly. Reason why when we say someone is growing gazelle horn ' it means the person is becoming proud"
So Tinubu saying he is going to “turn so called yahoo yahoo boys into in manufacturing and creation of than being gazelle gagaraga.”
Means he is going to change them from a boastful proud unsettled yahoo-yahoo boys to a product manufacturer and an intelligent creator.
Living and learning, dont be always quick to criticise or make fun of what you dont know. And Jesus said " it is finished" |

pragmatistm: Great analysis from an informed fellow. I love this. 2 hectares of cocoa churning out a paltry 800kg at #450k are you kidding me? Guess Hybrid cocoa trees are doing way more than this? For the pods you can still sell to soap makers. As i speak now 52.045kg of dried cocoa beans hovers around 90-94k |
Agriculture › Re: Oil Palm Vs Cocoa Vs Cashew: Which Is More Profitable? by Ogunleti01: 7:05am On Jan 06, 2023 |
RECHMOND: My good advice for you is to invest in Cocoa. No crop compete with cocoa in terms of return on investment. The labour input is low and the return is high. There is ever ready market for Cocoa, be it raw or dried it's a hot cake in every part of the world. Cocoa produces two times in a year, that's the major harvest and the is always cocoa pods in ur farm, called picking. Cocoa farmers never lack money. You will never lack buyers for Cocoa. Once planted it lives for more than 50 years. Am from CRS. You need to see the money Young boys are making from their farms building mantions here and there.. if you have the money go for Cocoa and you will ever be greatful you did. Plants plantains too in the farm and make cool money from it too. A properly maintained cocoa farm starts to yield from 3 years. You don't need processing for it. You just harvest and dry, put them in sacks and call your buyer that's it, and you get your millions. I call COCOA the GREEN GOLD. Lots of people don't know it is. If you have blocks of cocoa farms even the president of a country can not compete with you financially. Just start first. Don't say no one told you. That is one thing people dont know. Sofar so good i have made close to 1.2m from my platain farm alone from May 2021 -till date. The funniest thing is the plantain were planted to serve as shade for my cocoa. last year till date 52.45kg of cocoa in my area hovers around #90-94k. Do the math for just one tonne |

Zerofarm: Hello Nairalander,
I need your suggestion and advice because I just acquired 7 hectares of land for plantain farming in ekiti which will be planted by February next year, the place is secured and free from bandits or herdsmen but everybody is telling me to do relocation instead of farming even though I’ve invested up to 4 million naira into this project because I love Agric….
Please which one is the best advice for me right now as I know how I can make it big by planting up to 10,000 suckers of plantain on this land and get the return in a year, is there market for large production of plantain?
Mods please help me to push this to front page as this is my only option of surviving Op the only venture that guarantees double digit return on investment is agric. The best decision i took in 2020 was to invest in Agriculture. Cultivated almost 6 acres of plantain (serving as shade for my cocoa) and i can authoritatively tell you the money from it is mouthwatering! |
