Sooner or later, the world will adjust to living with this virus. Place severe modalities. Lockdown isn't a strategy, and it's not sustainable.

Do you even think our Government can sustain it? They cant .

Instead of lock down we should just try Charles Darwin's natural selection. Survival of the fittest (literal meaning). If after a period those who are immune to it would live and give birth to stronger offspring. and those who are not lucky shocked shocked shocked

While it might sound good to the young people but please think about your aged parents, aunt and uncles that might not have strong immunity to fight the virus.

If he was a man of impeccable character, Nigeria would have been better under him. Because, he was actually the one acting as president. He wouldn't have appointed only northerners as heads of all powerful agencies in Nigeria. He wouldn't have refused isolation for 14 days after returning from Germany and Egypt but went ahead spreading the coronavirus here and there endangering many peoples lives. Why is there no paracetamol in Asorock clinic according to Aisha Buhari. She accused him and Daura for ruining her husband's administration. He was accused of embezzling billions of Naira meant to equip Aso Rock clinic.

With all these your answers and u still felt it right to post this kind of question here. Let us all face our own life and leave judgement for God.

Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria. We behave reckless and stubborn in Nigeria, but when we travel out to white men's country we act coordinated at our best.

Simple lockdown and stay at home order has become very difficult to obey. Why offloading lifeless goods during this period of lockdown ? Well the driver of the goods must have bribed his way through the security personnel.

Wisdom 101 teaches that you don't argue with a man carrying gun, whether Armed Robber, Army, SARS or Police.

Anyways RIP to the death.

Does it now give him the right to take a life he cant create.

CreativeWeb:
I need someone that will give me a headup on how one can start a payment processing company without becoming a reseller of Interswitch like voguepay, simplepay, cashenvoy, etc are currently doing.

How can one have a direct connection with Mastercard, Visa and other cards and process the card payments through his portal. Just like what 2checkout.com and payu.com are doing.

cc: adewasco2k, please push it to front page to get wider audience.

Thanks.
I have been thinking about this lately.

GOD punish, destroy, mutilate, shred, cremate, dismantle, destroy, demolish and demystify the lives of Boko Haram, their sponsor, their supporters and all those who silently wish they continue what they are doing just so they can ridicule this government at the expense of our soldiers and citizens lives!!!

I was born and schooled in one region, came from another, served in a different region and work in another region.

For Nigeria to be great, we all need ourselves. Every region has it strength and weakness but if we come together we would be great.

Let us all stop this hate speeches on nairaland and work together to better Nigeria.

In our diversity we would be better and greater.

Enough of all these orders what will people eat at home? Have they paid salaries? What about the jobless ones that depend on daily jobs to feed? Before you give orders create Avenue to make life easy for the masses. Some countries are given money to their citizens to sustain themselves despite their low unemployment rate, talk less of a country without jobs how will people survive?

This is a warning to all sensible Nigerian to put ethnicity and Religion on hold to vote for the right people who will create employment and plan for the future of the country.

Just imagine Nigeria is on a lock down for a month what will people eat? All those fools supporting Apc and pdp rogues where are you now? Can you stock your house with food for a month without going to work? But I can bet my balls these people call politicians you kill yourself for can go 365 days without going out and will still eat 3 sq meal if worse come to worse. Use this period to reflect on yourself if the little change you collect monthly or every 4 yrs will change your life. What we need is employment and a good economy. If you and your spouse earns like 1m monthly food won't be a problem but 30k monthly is fuvked up.

Our politicalians cant even share sanitizers but during election they wld be deceiving their supporters with rice. APC AND PDP where are you?

It depend on you. You need to build capacity. There are free materials every where. You could even just buy access from some nairaland peeps that sell Lynda.com access and learn something, whether advance excel, programming, web development, data science, digital marketing, etc. Most employers are looking for people that can deliver. The problem with most graduate is that they can buy phones but cant spend 5k to develop themselves.

Politics / Re: ECOWAS Challenges Nigeria’s Border Closure, Sets Up Committee by ohameakpu: 1:15pm On Feb 12, 2020
SoNature:

Even though everyone is rejoicing because of the impact it has on Nigeria's economy, I don't consider this a smart move. Imagine if all the countries we sell our goods to shut down their borders in retaliation.

If Buhari feels that there's too much smuggling into Nigeria, it means that the customs is not doing its job. Yes, it is an internal problem, so it should be sorted out in-house.

Notice that there are Nigerian businesses that export through the land borders, and they are out of business now. This means that when the border is finally reopened, their customers would have sourced for other reliable suppliers.

Again, the solution is not closing the border. Apparently, Nigerian customs is the problem and should be reformed with many officers with questionable characters laid off.

Buhari has been a bundle of disappointment because if Sunday Ehindero could stop the police from collecting roadside bribe in his time as IG, Buhari can sanitize the customs.

It's very annoying that Buhari hasn't been able to "clean up" one institution of government even though he tells us that he is fighting corruption.
Thanks .you have just said it all.

this border closure just dey vex everybody why? was Nigeria this loose and porous? the closure should be lengthened so some can of worms can blow open
And it is also affecting our economy. It wld have been a plus for us if we had basic infrastructure that would have help the private sectors to look inward but not so.

So this border closure is hurting our neighbours?

Perhaps we should start taxing them for the benefit they derive from us!
It is affecting them and also affecting us. Nigeria is a big market for most of them meaning they would have issues with their revenues. And the closure of the border is also causing increase in inflation in Nigeria which is not also good for our economy.

I support the ban 100%.

Lagos state alone can not be carrying 90% OF THE WHOLE country's while almost all the remaining USELESS BASTARD governors of other states just lavish state allocations on personal projects and embezzlement.

IF YOU ARE NOT OKAY WITH THIS ARRANGEMENT, GO BACK TO YOUR STATE!!!!!!!!!
Lagos needs serious depopulation and organization.

And to that bastard wey dey quote my post and cancel it.
It will never be well with you.
The useless AUTISTIC bipolar-suffering jobless goat opens at least 4 new accounts every day to troll and follows people here and there.
Goodness and prosperity shall elude you.
Your pathological condition will never get heal.
BASTARD!!

Good idea and that is why other ports needs to be opened. You can go and find out, ports comes with job creation and it would also raise the revenue of that state. If lagos must be decongested then Government needs to dredge other ports but mind you that would also reduce the revenue being generated in lagos.

Please it is not everybody that is riding okada that is an idiot. Please, let's watch our words carefully. Some of the people doing this okada job never for once thought they would be riding okada but they have to survive.

This brings me to the issue that most of our youth needs to build capacity or else........

For Lagos/Nigeria to be great, tough decisions has to be taken. Unfortunately, this has to be one of them.

We always blame government but we are equally part of the problems in this country.

They can riot all they like, the ban STANDS.

Banning okada and keke is a good idea but an alternative means should be created. You dont solve a problem by creating another.

Internet users across more than a dozen sub-Saharan African nations experienced slow service after two undersea cables to the continent’s western coast were damaged this week.

The so-called WACS and SAT3/WASC cable systems are in the Atlantic Ocean and connect South Africa and many other African countries to Europe, according to Openserve, a unit of South Africa’s biggest fixed-line telecommunications provider, Telkom SA SOC Ltd. One break is near Libreville in Gabon and the other is in the vicinity of Angola’s capital, Luanda, Openserve said in an emailed statement.
