Mechonu dia! Who is begging her? I will burn down this house if Tinu dies, I will kill Chris Oduah, his popsy and who again... if you don't bring Tinu back to life. When I say you, I mean you, Millieademi. So work the magic, twist the pen, but Tinu must live. #TeamTinuMustNotDie 4 Likes 1 Share |

millieademi:Millieademi, eku ise. But you know that your work is wonderfully complicated nau. Lol. Don't allow such comments get you mad. It's your style. Yes, it is! The typical Nigerian (Lagosians especially) is impatient. So they expect you to cut the chase and get to the end of the story quickly, especially as the story appears like one of those with an end (some stories have no intended end - just a mash of different loosely connected experiences). They want Tinu and Chris to earn their freedom, Roselle and Co issues done with, Dele and Seyifunmi finally married, etc. But that's not your style, right? You are on a detailed scene by scene analysis which some of us have gotten frustrated with. But it's your story and we're enjoying it. Your consistency is even surprising. One of its kind! If I say your story is complicated, just smile, shake_your_head_for_me, and move on. Bring it on, Millieademi. Nothing do you! 3 Likes |

Any couple that wants an expensive wedding, and is willing to look for any mean necessary to achieve that, shouldn't be anyone's business, live and let live pls.Of course! To every man his own. But planning within one's means is great wisdom. Yea, you have a point, but would the disappointment have been so great had the expenses been within their means? No debts? |

momokiddies: Fiction? If only it was. At least, the crux of the story isn't. It wasn't my experience though I might have written it in the first person narrative, but it is very true, though with minimal fictional adapting. Sometimes, we see everything through the eyes of the average Lagosian. Many out there don't even reckon with halls when it comes to hosting parties (wedding receptions, burial receptions and even birthdays), they think it is limiting. Such prefer the freedom they think an open space offers. Ask most non-lagosians. And the cost can be quite prohibitive for most Lagosians too... Food vendors? There were no special food vendors contracted for this, at least not beyond a supervisory role. This was more of a family thing. You provide the money to buy the food items, the cows, chickens, venison, etc; and the women of the (bride and groom's) families get and prepare the meals. Of course, a huge chunk of it goes to their kitchens, but that doesn't mean they will fight a raging storm for your sake while all others are fleeing for shelter. No classrooms? Must the classroom doors be left open? Or did the reception hold while classes were on? You have a better way to have ended the story? Why not tell me; I am always open to ideas. |

millieademi: I try to connect the dots sometimes, but I know the story will even out at the end of the day. Can you refresh our memories on every line? I don't think so. You were out a long time, but I think it was for a good reason. Many have abandoned their stories or failed in their schedules for very flippant reasons, but you've bounced back against all odds. I don't see the rush for the story to end. Izit ya story? Author, tell it the way you feel. I'm cool as long as your updates aren't unnecessarily delayed (which, wonderfully, hasn't been the case since your return). We await more. 1 Like |

Centino:This will be my last reply to you on this particular issue. Magnanimous? That's because I let bygones be gone. I had made my point and moved on. You surely do dislike criticism, even though that was never my aim in the first place. I was only setting aright a perspective so others don't swallow a fictional disposition hook, line and sinker. Some others have reached out to you privately? Not everyone will or should, after all the gaffe was made publicly. Forcing my thoughts on your thread? That's the reason Seun allows comments on this site. Otherwise, there would have been no need for comments, sir. You can create a diary for your story and do all the commenting yourself. You're a proud unbeliever? I'm happy you've made that clarification. Instead of the previous claim that Cosmas believed in Christ. Some Christians here were beginning to swallow his deliberately distorted interpretations of the Bible - which was what inspired my initial comments. I know nothing about Christianity? I may not know it all - no one does - but I know better than to learn about Christianity from an unbeliever. Had you been as thorough as you claim, you'd realise I'm one big critic of organised Christianity as we have it today. But should New Age practitioners become the standard for a faith they know nothing about. Why are you guys always fixated with distorting Christian beliefs? Why not islam, why not the others I'm glad you updated quickly because of those comments. Maybe this will cause you to update even quicker. I look forward to that. I was considering leaving the thread as you so desire, so we have no more dissenting views, but that still small voice has asked me to stay put. There has to be some dissent, sir, for balance. NB: The more we think we know, the more ignorant we tend to appear. Are you sure that's not the case here? Remember Irikefe, an Urhobo, isn't supposed to be under the authority of the Itsekiri Olu of Warri? So much for investigative thoroughness. Until some other topic, sir. Twas nice debating you. Peace. 1 Like |

Centino:I thought this was done and dusted when I read today's update and commended the author earlier. But...seeing this now, I wonder How bad could it get? I would never have associated you with such crassness. Imagine going as far as looking up my profile to come up with this Probably, I expected too much of your person. What's your definition of a fan? Someone who will lick your droppings and tell you they taste good? I stumbled upon the Part 1 of this story over two years ago and have followed the story ever since. I may not drop comments everyday, but from your investigations on my profile, you must have seen that I do comment at times. It's funny you could react thus. 46 threads and 17 stories? I didn't even know those stats. Since you went that far, you should have seen that I have sometimes gone against organised Christianity, as we have it today. The deliverance in Magdalene depicts as much. The Man and the Prophet is another. Religious people? I think that's a funny and uninformed tag. I am not religious, I am a Christian. And I don't see how anyone was defending God up there. Has any Christian taken up a cutlass against you on account of the heresies you bandy? Since when did factual debates become a defence of God? I'm happy you are making your stance clear today. Cos, what I thought was mere literature, which I feared many were taking literally, was way more than that. It is you promoting your intrinsic values. My comment had been simply to advice those people. At least, now the Christians should know better than accepting distorted biblical Interpretations from an unbeliever (Christianly speaking). Peace. 4 Likes |

tsharp: The idea of reincarnation has been played with from time immemorial, not just by the Jews, but by the Persians, Babylonians, Chinese and even in our beloved Africa. So it isn't surprising that the disciples were quick to restate that general opinion that Jesus was a reincarnation of one of those great prophets of old because of the works they saw him do. My grandmother loved to smile a lot, she had a tooth gap and was a master at preparing the egusi soup; now my daughter exhibits same traits and the automatic assumption becomes that she is a reincarnation of my granny. That becomes widely accepted and reinforced especially by all who had an encounter with my grandmother. Then my sister delivers a baby with very similar traits and everyone is confused about who is the real reincarnation. Did she share herself between them? Sometimes, it is about birthmarks. We have seen this pattern even with the Obas of Benin Kingdom, where a new king, at coronation, assumes an official name which could be the name of a past great king, then parralels are drawn between him and that past king and everyone assumes he is a reincarnation. Did Jesus mean that John the Baptist was a reincarnation of Elijah? It was never stated. So why are reincarnation apologists insisting that that was what he meant? But he implied that John had come in the forceful mode of Elijah, if we take a cursory look at his ministerial mode. Did Elijah ever undergo a prison term? Did John ever call down fire from heaven? Was Elijah's head ever served on a platter? Could he even be arrested What the New Age seeks to achieve is to present (heretic info: Christian speaking), and distort Scriptural positions, while hiding under the garb of select pickings from the Bible. Sister Esther is a good example of this. She can engage in wanton sexual immorality, yet simultaneously exude great spiritual power. Is that what the Bible teaches? Is that the general experience we have seen around? I maintain that 225, Katakata Street has been a greatly entertaining piece of literature for years now, but should it become a life manual like some are turning it into 7 Likes |

Centino: Hmmm, you are only confirming what I have said earlier. Seeking the truth is one thing, the source of that truth is another thing entirely. Jesus, speaking in John 16, spoke about the Spirit of truth as the source for the heightened knowledge, not philosophy and logic. and not the esoteric arts, as is probably the case of Dan Brown. Verses 13, 14 and 15 went on to list some qualities of that Spirit. Mr Cosmas' views have failed to glorify Christ on many an occasion, for instance. John 14:16&17 speaks about this same Spirit, The Comforter . And this refers to none else than The Holy Spirit. We mustn't confuse this with Eastern inspired philosophies, at least not for those who say they are Christians. We have seen same trajectory when you discussed sex, premarital and extramarital. I enjoy your work for its literary value. I admire your matured presentation and boldness in presenting your facts, but my views are in reply to those who are beginning to confuse Mr Cosmas' logical leanings for sound Christian doctrine. 10 Likes |

New age stuff from Cosmas (Centino) here! I am okay with that trajectory for its literary value, but readers must be careful about patterning their beliefs after Cosmas' (Centino) postulations in this piece. It is even more dangerous, considering the deliberate fusion of these views with Christianity. It is either absolute Christianity or absolute New Age! It is same danger that the works of Dan Brown portend Now on the story, I think Irikefe's brashness is becoming unbecoming. He needs to tone it down or he would be toned down. With Jide and Fumbi, the boy overdo. Power can be so intoxicating sometimes. I think Chisco, somehow, won't fall into Enyoyam's trap. But na Centino know how E dey go laslas. 2 Likes |

As much as some characters are yet to come alive to my mind's eye, I think they will eventually come through. Please, Millieademi, just CONTINUE and allow us piece it together as we continue.
