Superwave16320:When some people remain silent, it could be mistaken for wisdom... |
SmartyPants:What is my argument, smarty? I said Ikirodah's comment is flawed because BOTH guys are/were ACTUALLY OF SAME PARTY if party was the issue. Alimikhena’s 2 term victories came through the APC. Did he stop speaking good English after joining the PDP? How did he manage to get a second term despite that and others? Would Ikirodah have been concerned had he still been a FAITHFUL APCite? Is his terrible record for the past 8years because he crossed over to the PDP recently? Thankfully, I currently do not support either party, but were I to vote today, I’d support Oshiomhole over him on account of his antecedents. |
The bigger question is why should this be on Nairaland frontpage? This is local gossip at best. Ikirodah handpicks some select comments, analyses them in his usual myopic, self-serving manner, and boom! It's on Frontpage! Really ![]() Nairaland should do better than this nau. Now, on the topic. Everyone in and from Edo North knows that Francis Alimikhena was a compound failure, but on which party’s platform did he achieve two terms? Ikirodah stylishly avoided that. We expect Oshiomhole to do much better, but that's not on account of his party, but on account of self. When history remembers Alimikhena, it will be remembered that a visionless man who can't make a single correct sentence in English, who thinks Senatorial office is all about sharing a few Keke Napeps and motorcycles and grinding engines was foisted on Edo North people by the APC |
This is madness at its peak. The only reason there's no deliberation on ritual killings and kidnapping is because those are predominantly committed down here. There is no justification for same sex attraction. It's been proven to be an acquired vice that's been shoved down our throats as genetic and normal. Check out this study involving almost 500,000 people; the biggest of its kind, establishing the absence of any genetic justification for gayism... https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/massive-study-finds-no-single-genetic-cause-of-same-sex-sexual-behavior/ Yet, a deluded group, hiding under the reins of a church are trying to promote abnormality... |
The way this heartless people dey run we matter for naija ehn!... Laslas, one day bush meat go catch the hunter... |
I don't know why all of this man's actions appear like desperation at its peak. Pa Reuben Fasoranti is the former leader of Afenifere, who stepped down on account of his age. Guyman manages to buy his way into the man's favour, requests his blessing, which isn't exclusive, gets his photographers to capture every moment of it and comes to announce to the whole world that he's secured the endorsement of Afenifere. So, had Buhari not supported him, he would have gone to Abdulsalami Abubakar and claimed PRESIDENTIAL ENDORSEMENT ![]() |
Nameless ministers offered him money to shut up Because he spoke against widescale killings![]() What have they offered Oyedepo who is ten times as vocal and has a louder voice? I may be wrong, but the above claims sound untrue. |
Carrying weapons on election day? When you aren't a thug? No allow soljas use you shine o! Frogjump dey break back o! |
In Nigerian politics, never take anything at face value. The governor can pay professional praise singers to hail him for an actually shoddy job, and then pay the media to broadcast the entire process...all for favourable media outlook. BTW, would photos of the completed road not have made better sense than the group photo up there? |
Vawulence... Why do Western divorce laws always seem to be on the side of the womenfolk? But why shouldn't a dad support his child's development? |
I was thinking the PDP is dead (at least for the nonce) in Lagos State; but this report proves that supposition wrong... Why attack a candidate who's rumoured to stand no chance? |
How long have the people been calm yet slaughtered? Security Agencies should be up and doing... Simple! |
lhordspy:The joke is on you, sir. Ukraine may do ten mobilizations, but the whole world knows that: 1. They aren't the aggressors here; 2. They aren't the invaders; 3. Neither are they the ones who boasted a swift blow on the enemy to the point of changing the government in power... Obviously, none of Putin's plans is going accordingly, and the media has the duty of calling attention to the failings of a power-drunk bully, who overestimated his capabilities. |
YeA, you're so right! You're right in showing her that you don't place any value on her feelings and physical condition as she adjusts to the rigours of a new job! You're all about yourself, sire. |
The last paragraph from Kperogi is eye opening... Laslas, the man BAT's identity is still shrouded in a web of lies. Yet, some misguided elements can still claim that Okwute lies too much, when their principal is falsehood personified |

Others are running to Obasanjo, and making fictitious claims about his endorsement by the day... This man is getting divinely favoured on the other hand, even being led by same Obasanjo to seek support from the opposition's ranks. |

Ronaldo, as good as he may still be, is a luxury many clubs can't afford. He's good, no doubt, but the price is quite sleepy for most clubs to gamble with. |
It's a cycle of reaction that will likely repeat itself again. Give her 18 months, at most. |
What is the judgement of the lower court again? And how does that mean Victory for the appelant? The lower court said it doesn't have the jurisdiction to entertain the case; or did they say something else? |
georgeakins:State, you mean? And you want people from all over Nigeria to vote for Tinubu? |
I hope this is effectively put to use, especially to curb the excesses of those yellow and wine uniformed guys. For the dudes up there attributing every little success in Lagos to Tinubu, I think that's the very problem well meaning Nigerians are trying to avoid: We don't want Nigeria to become his/family's wallet forever. Imagine Ambode's achievements are ascribed to him too! Mtchww |
Asour:I guess you're right. Some churches, though, seem to have been set up and inspired by 'local championism' forever, OR till the demise of whoever is currently at the helm of affairs. |
Chnbanc:Ignorance is so ignorant. There's no legal backing to any marriage without a registration at the marriage registry. This is why established churches will require their members to first fulfil every requirement of the law before coming to be blessed. There the same certificate from the registry will be presented them. Some mushroom churches still obtain certificates from the Business Centre though. |
Hmmm |
Everyone just wanna Stoke fresh headlines from this issue... I think the matter has been overflogged already... The only reactants at this point should be Buhari and Tinubu. |
W.O.M.E.N! World Order of Manipulators Engaging Nitwits Get wise, men! |
Hmmm, hmmm, and I repeat, hmmm. Your lifestyle plays a part. Some people, for their love for the noisiness and general irritability of the Lagos atmosphere, prefer to live like rodents packed in a single room or even under the bridge if that's what it would take to survive on 40k jobs. Others, for their love for decency of living and comfort, would run to Ife, if that was what it would take to achieve such lifestyle. Now, ask yourself: what kinda lifestyle is yours? |
