Again you're either missing the point or trying to make light of it. It's not a burst pipe, its that you can't use any toilet in a whole international airport. Its that the AC doesn't work, its that the conveyor belts don't work, its that the airport looks like some backward garage. Its that an investor coming into the country is greeted with a very horrible welcome, it sets a very bad precedent already. I left Naija 2002, didn't come back at all till Dec 2013, I got the airport and I wanted to turn back, I felt like I'd made a horrible mistake and I'm Nigerian.

All that aside, if we say GEJ is not blame and we say he's not the main contractor and then even worse he's the client. You give a builder millions/billions to build an estate that you intend to sell/rent. What you're saying is your customers should be looking for the building contractor after they've signed an agreement with you for a brand new house only to get there and find the foundation barely laid.

GEJ told us he was renovating the airport, GEJ was the one that awarded the contract, he was the one that advertised it to us as one of his crowning achievements.

I'm not exaggerating when I say taking more pictures will only cause more embarrassment. My thing is this, GEJ has advertised this as one of his great achievements so there is really no way you can take him out of the equation. The airport is a federal asset and GEJ can't tell me he doesn't know the state of the airport despite the money spent. Now if we start to blame organisations we won't get done today. However, he's the leader, he hired those people that are not doing their jobs. He's basically the main supervisor. My site supervisor can't blame carpenters for a bad job because they didn't use enough material or bad workmanship because I'll ask him what he was looking at when they were working. It's the same way I can't tell my clients that it's the fault of my subcontractor for the bad job constructing their building. He awarded the contacts, if the airport turned out well it'll go a long way in building his legacy as a transformation president. He has a lot more to lose.

People blaming the president is not unreasonable at all. Going back to my profession, I have a building project I'm doing for a church. Churches have a lot of members which means you have a lot of clients. Truth is you can never get on the good side of everybody, not possible. Now if your clients have a cause to complain about quality of your work, they don't go to the mason, not the carpenters, not the iron benders/welders not even your site engineer, they blame the main contractor because you're the one in charge of the project and if we're completely honest because you're the one that has the most to gain.

If you understand the rudiments of budgeting by government parastatals, it will be clearer who the main contractor is, But that is a story for another day.

My take is pretty simple, If we can blame GEJ for plumbing faults in an airport for a country as big as Nigeria, we are really in a shocker because this man won't be able to fix all the files landing on his desk per minute.

Why don't we tailor the blame to the right quarters where due diligence can be done quickly rather than Abuja if seriously we citizens are "patriotic" and "love" our "flagship airport"?

What's your point? Does it really matter who took the pictures? The airport is an embarrassment to us all. That's the airport I'm sure 70% of foreigners come through to the so-called biggest economy in Nigeria. ACs don't work, you have buckets to catch water from leaky roofs, you can't get off the plane and dare to use the toilet, etc. Now if Jonathan ignored it, it'll have still been bad but for the fact that they claim to have spent billions on the airport and it's still like that is disgraceful and fraudulent.

Some of you guys try to defend the indefensible. There are some things that you guys should just admit to and move on. Go see the Kenyan airport that got burnt, search for the new terminals, how much has been spent and in how long they used to get to where they are.
