Politics › ANOH Project Expects First Gas By The Fourth Quarter Of 2023 by oilykid(op): 6:09pm On Mar 28, 2023 |
The Assa North Ohaji South (ANOH) natural gas project expects to produce its first gas by the fourth quarter of 2023. This is according to findings made by Nairametrics after studying Seplat Energy’s 2022 full-year financial report. The ANOH gas project, which has been referred to as a game changer, was earlier planned to begin operations in mid-2022. However, as cited in the company’s 2022 report, the project was pushed back due to delays in third-party infrastructure. The first gas is now expected by the final quarter of 2023. More insights on the ongoing project: According to the Seplat report, the ANOH gas project has achieved 95% mechanical completion. The company said it has partnered with the NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company(NGIC), which is delivering the Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) project, to spur pipelines to connect ANOH to customers. But there are delays owing to river tunnelling issues. The company noted that two upstream wells have been completed by Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), and two more will be completed in 2023. Sapele gas processing plant: According to the Seplat, the Sapele gas processing plant is at 60% completion and the first gas is expected in 2024. It stated that an upgrade at the plant has increased capacity to 85 million standard cubic feet per day(MMscfd)to deliver export-standard gas. The company highlights the fact that the plant will have liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) processing module, which will open new markets for LPG products. Also, associated gas compressors have been installed and will capture otherwise flared gas for processing and sale. Oben gas processing plant: The Seplat report highlights the fact that the Oben gas processing plant maintained a 112.3 MMscfd average for 2022 at an average gas price of $2.82/million standard cubic feet (Mscf). The company signed short-term gas sales agreements (GSAs) with three new customers for a combined 86 MMscfd offtake, amounting to eight GSAs totalling 396 MMscfd. Slight decrease in gas production revenues in 2022: According to the report, Seplat showed a 2.6% decrease in gas production revenues in 2022, due to slightly lower average gas pricing ($2.82/Mscf) following the domestic gas delivery obligation (DGDO) pricing revision. The company made $112.5 million in 2022, as opposed to $114.8 million made in 2021. However, in 2023, the company intends to generate long-term, highly visible revenue streams by expanding the gas business as well as maximizing revenue potential through higher utilization of existing gas plants. . |

Kwashiman: The industrialization of the South East begins in earnest, no time to check time. Kudos to Innoson for leading in the initiative to revamp the glory of the SE. Alot of investments is currently going on the east. Insecurities happened to slow things down there. Igbo billionaire should venture into mechanized Agriculture, there is lots of money to be paid there. Package your farm products and export them abroad to earn FX. The likes of Egypt, Ethiopia,Kenya are making lots of money from agriculture. Even in flower cultivation |

Ogbuefi2020: This one na federal matter That's my problems with we igbos.. they are some important things we need to do for ourselves and quit waiting for federal government cause the FG will never do anything that will bring huge development to the SE. Nothing stops Enugu government in looking for investors to build up the coal fired power plants. It will surely help in industrialization and huge employment in Enugu and SE in general |

We have coal in Enugu and orji river power station was allowed to die. A power station if we'll rebuilt can power the whole SE and drive industrialization.
The west still relies in coal fired power station, go to Asia and see the likes of china still building more coal fired power plants. Even India is already opening up their coal mining sites to increase the capacity of their coal power plants.
Nothing stops to the new governor from going to china and asking them to come and invest in power and mining in enugu state. These are some of the things that will propel industrialization in enugu and it's not that hard to do it's just that our leaders are just too lazy to think. They only know about looting and rigging. |

christejames: Some of his plans on Healthcare and others... Whoever wins should focus on Agriculture. Enugu is an agro allied.. the only thing can push Enugu into industrialization is through agriculture. It's the fastest way to increase our GDP and make Enugu an industrial agricultural state. Places like aninri, Nsukka zone should have industrial agricultural settlements. Go to Kenya, Ethiopia, Egypt and see what agriculture have turned the country into. Our leaders in Nigeria are just too lazy and have no ideas on how to build a society. They only wait for money in Abuja every month ans share among theirselves and then use the remaining ones to construct poor roads. The new governor elect needs to travel to all these countries making money from agriculture and learn from them. He should also travel to developed countries and invite investors from there. Netherlands is doing wonders in agriculture too. Another thing the new governor needs to do is town planing. We lack town planing in Nigeria. We construct roads without sidewalks, road signs, good dual lanes, street light and traffic light. |

christejames: Edeoga has visited some radio stations in Enugu today to engage the populace.
He is currently having a Town Hall meeting with the Youths at a hotel in Enugu...
As for his presence on social media, Edeoga just created new Twitter account and will be interacting with the masses later on... Since you love it you can make it a date. Nice .. I love that.. a debate is also coming up next tomorrow.. that's the kind of things we need in Enugu |
Politics › Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by oilykid(m): 7:54pm On Mar 05, 2023 |
christejames: They think governance is by hosting only Twitter spaces... Mbah is currently on space now answering questions from Enugu people, it takes someone who is smart and we'll learned to come to a Twitter space and answer questions from people all over the world.. Frank have done the same many times. Edeoga is no where to be found. We don't want another packaged fraud to enter enugu govt house and take the state backwards again like gburugburu. Obi was on Twitter spaces to meet and talk with Nigerians too. Edeoga is not too big for that. Let him come and do the same. |

christejames: As a journalist, Edeoga disappoints me with his inactivity on Social Media... He rarely post there but he is always on ground meeting the masses and explaining his manifesto and plans to them.
As for me, I get latest info about him from a guy on Twitter; 'LP EJIKEME' 🔙 that should be his username (not handle name). And from the Facebook page of Barr Okey Ezea media; the man that recently won Enugu North senatorial zone seat. That's my issue with him.. man is not ready to engage people and share his manifesto with Enugu people.man is waiting to use obi influence in to win the election. Frank have had series of Twitter spaces with Enugu people to engage them and share his visions with people. Peter mbah will be having a Twitter space too this Sunday to engage enugu people. He have his manifestos ready. Both MBAH and Frank have been going round enugu engaging the youth and the people of enugu state, talking with them. But Edeoga is no where to be found in all these.. let Enugu people not go and elect another failure like uguwanyi who spent 8 years in the government house without even speaking to the media. We don't need another packaged fraud in the SE. |

christejames: It's obvious you don't stay in Enugu if not you would not have said you've heard nothing from Edeoga.
Edeoga has been moving from ward to ward listening to the yearnings of Umu Enugu and recently he has been doing radio stations tours in Enugu.
When you listen to that man, I bet you will be convinced.
Do you know that he is the only one without record of blemish after his public service?
Be it in House of Rep, LG Chairman and commissioner... Can I see his manifesto ? Or maybe his Twitter handle.. let me go through it.. If possible, let host a space on Twitter to speak with ndi Enugu concerning his visions |

The Minister of State for Education, Rt Hon Goodluck Nanah Opiah has received enormous praises for the second campus granted the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Imo State at Abaezi, Egbema, in Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo State.
The Federal Government some weeks ago graciously made available the Skills Acquisition Centre premises in Abaezi, Egbema, the homestead of Rt Hon Opiah, built by the Federal Ministry of Niger Delta, a second campus of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede.
In appreciation of the efforts of the Minister of State for Education in the realization of this giant stride, the management of the institution led by the Rector, Engr Dr Micheal C.Arimanwa expressed happiness on the efforts of the Minister of States for Education for giving Poly Nekede a second campus after more than three decades of existence.
The institution in a letter of appreciation to the Minister signed by Engr Dr Arimanwa, during the thank you visit to his office at the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja, disclosed that the priceless assistance Rt Hon Opiah rendered cannot be overlooked in the acquisition of the second campus.
The letter reads “the Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of Federal Polytechnic Nekede profoundly appreciate the Honourable Minister of Education (State) Rt Hon Goodluck Nanah Opiah for the invaluable assistance rendered to us in the acquisition of the second campus at Abaezi, Egbema In Imo State
“The news of the approval of the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari to bequeath an already built-up campus to our institution was received with a lot of joy and fanfare”
The Fed Poly Nekede team on the visit showcased joy over the efforts of Rt Hon Opiah who was instrumental to the acquisition of the second campus at Abezi, Egbema.
It would be recalled that Rt Hon Opiah during his tenure as Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly In 2007-2011 ensured that the Imo State State Government converted the Micheal Okpara College Of Agriculture, Umuagwo Ohaji, a monotechnic in his constituency, to Imo State Polytechnic, before recent upgrading to University of Agriculture and Environment Sciences.
Kelechi Mejuobi Special Assistant, Media and Public Affairs To the Hon Minister of State for Education How far man, any updates on those big projects going on in imo state including the gas projects going on in imo including the gas projects, modular refinery and orange drugs |

signz: Guber election is here.
Frank Nweke is my candidate, unfortunately he's in the wrong party and his choice of running mate in my own opinion is bad.
Peter Mbah, competent, very competent Manager. Unfortunately, but baggage plenty abeg. From PDP baggage to his links to Chimaroke to allegedly buying the guber ticket with 7bn naira.
Edeoga, he's riding on PO's wave. He has run a good campaign too. Who ever coined that Joseph, Mary and Jesus is a genius. All things being equal, he'll win.
I was in an occasion in Udi last December where the consensus was Mbah is better than Edeoga but he'll need to recover his allegedly 7bn investment and also settle his godfather while Edeoga has very little baggage. Nweke for Me is the best.. I have seen his profile and have also been on the Twitter space with him.. Enugu people should come out and support frank nweke |
