Please leave FRESH AIR ALONE, are you guys not tired.

NL is just an example of the typical Nigerian. They are empty headed and yet want relevance, so they take ever opportunity they have to throw insult on the president and any Jeep driving person they see.

Only then do they see themselves as existing and important.

FRESH AIR TILL 2019.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 14:6

That was the message Jesus preached.

So you study and study very hard eeh ?
This is where your problems lies, too much study with no practical.

All your argument are from inexperience and lack of good tutelage. Even Paul was guided for over 3yrs before he started his ministry. But here you are acting loosed and disclaiming every church and man of God. Making yourself the only right one. Sincerly, your teachings on nairaland shows you are your own king just like Mohammed.

If you had ever conducted deliverance in your life, you won't question David Oyedepo for slapping the the girl. Infact you havent seen where deliverance is been conducted. That's if you believe in deliverance sef grin grin

Since you get your revelations directly from God, associate more with people and men of God and understand. Stop being an island.

frosbel:

it's called money management, if your needs go above your income, it is obvious that you either need to cut down on expenses and luxuries and pay off your debts if any to increase your disposable income.

Basic needs have to be met first for real people and then the needs of other brethren who are impoverished, then you can talk about helping on other non-people related projects.

shdemidemi:

If we truly want to be sincere with ourself, we would understand the purpose for tithing in the Old Testament, we would also understand the people involved in the ritual of tithing(the Jews). God gave the right to collect tithe to Aaron and his descendants for a reason, all of these things were part of the old covenant/testament God had with the twelve tribes of Israel.

The death and resurrection of Christ gave birth to a mystical body of Christ called the church, a new covenant/testament began after Christ fulfilled the demands of the law. The entire world (Jews inclusive) can now be engrafted into a brand new gospel from every other faith to a new faith in Christ Jesus.

The only way God's power can be revealed is through the gospel of Christ cos the bible says 'the gospel is the power of God unto salvation for anyone who believes'. Adding contents of the flesh/law is adding another ritual to a finished work at Calvary.

if you dont want to pay tithe fine.no whahala. thats for you and God. Just dont claim you can give tithe to someone else.
Dont give alms and call it paying of tithe. Tithe is a tenth of your earning that you take to the house of God, period !

For me, its become a doctrine am never going to let go. i feel more belong in the family of God when i pay tithe.

You Just keep twisting the scriptures to suit your greed.
Religion / Re: Tithe not working , please help by oiseworld: 9:13pm On Jun 13, 2013
Tithing is compulsory for all christians. You should pay your tithe to God in your various churches. Don't give your tithe to the poor;it is not alms. Neither is it an alternative to charity or kindness.

Don't be deceived for God is not mocked; whatever you sow, you will reap.

Bring yee all the tithe into the store house that there may be meat in my house says the lord of Host, and watch me hence forth if ........
Last time i checked, this scriptures are still in the bible and still a message for the present day Isreal(we). God has not changed, he remains the same for ever more Don't let unseen humans lure you from the truth of God.

I don't believe in either.
Quota system is a fraud, so is rotational presidency. The president is the chief servant and so why should I rotate my servants? I'll rather let the best servant do the job.

Katsumoto:

It has everything to do with the topic. Have you Southerners not dominated (colonized) the Northerners enough as well with education? You already contribute more than 75% of pupils to the unity schools. Do you need for it to be 100%? Similar to how Westerners have colonized you economically and don't need to finish you off. In both cases, there is a safety net. The Europeans can invade you at any point in time and there isn't Bleep all you can do about it. Your response was a poor one.

I need not finish reading your question before concluding its out of place. What does military might have to do with quota system within different nations. I'll expect you to ask if

NOI got to the world bank through pity.
If Wole soyinka became a noble prize by federal character.
If Obama became the US president on pity or competence. etc

If you claim the southerners have dominated the federal schools to more than 75% and the private schools to over 90%, then why isn't it translated in the federal govt? Where the reverse is the case. The North are holding swey to govt establishment to over 80% while the rest of the south share the remaining 20%. How come?

Where did they come from?

Katsumoto:

I agree that if the original concept doesnt hold, then d schools should b scrapped.

But is this argument really worth it. In my class, less than 5% of students were from d North. Are we arguing that we should exlude that 5% or the less than half in northern schools. Unity school aside, i oppose quota system. I benefitted from having some representation from all regions.

This exact same pity and concern is what must have made the Ironsi's, the obj's, Zik and co to look down on the 5% not knowing the level of hidden agendas and political backing this 5% have.

I believe the idea is good. But look where it has landed us.
Politics / Re: A 1988 NY Times Report On Nigeria's Quota System by oiseworld: 5:58pm On Jun 09, 2013
Katsumoto:

You are the one that has missed it. If you believe that Northern students shouldn't attend UNITY schools because they are gifted enough, then perhaps the Federal government should scrap the concept. UNITY schools were not created for Southerners alone. Let each state cater for its own students.

And no, I do not support the quota system.

maybe on a level playing ground when the students performances and scores are above average or the set cutoff marks then, I LL see education as a means of tying what is left of the country else, schools as I know it is an institution for learning and not unification between two extreme students. The reason I said the whole quota system and federal character is a fraud.
Politics / Re: A 1988 NY Times Report On Nigeria's Quota System by oiseworld: 5:09pm On Jun 09, 2013
Katsumoto:

That's not even their bone of contention. Majority of places in unity schools go to students who are indigenous to the states they are located in. So FGC Enugu will have a majority of Igbo students while FGC Odogbolu will have a majority of Yoruba students. Now you would think that FGC Kaduna would have a majority of Hausa students. But no, the southerners have equal numbers with the Northerners in FGC Kaduna. These folks are so selfish that they would deny admission to Northern students even in their own states/regions.

Unity schools have a purpose and it is not to admit only students from the south. But these folks are so selfish that they can't even see that. Everything is all about competition to them.

You have missed it big time. Education is not about help or encouragement. You can't force a northern child to go to class when he prefares to stay under the tree or to be in the farm.

Nigerians should stop begging the north to go to school. If they have schools and are not interested in attending, let the one who is interested attend the school. Shikena.

The quota system is not working, has not worked and will never work. It was not meant to work. It is a cheating mechanism.
simple !!!
