There's nothing wrong in that. It is their collective responsibility as couple. But come to think of it, building a house takes some time, and the man did not deem it fit to ask for the documents. This also shows that he did not even see the building plan because the details of the owners would have been discovered, except if he is being economical with the truth.

In my own view, the man is one of those men who doesn't like it when their women are ahead of them. It also means he was not involved with the project because it was the wife that championed it. To crown it all, I see inferiority complex.

Hmmm! Mr husband, you are not wise. You ask me why? You left a house you claimed belong to you and your wife simply because she abused you. Can you see yourself now? Because of your pride and ego you are about destroying what you have laboured for over the years.

The way I see you, you are not wise at all. The problem with your marriage didn't start now but long time ago. Think about this, you and your wife did business together and you are sharing the money, shouldn't the money be for the family in the first place and you decide on what to do with it as the head of the family?

Now, you are forming 'I don't believe in divorce ,' but you are tilting toward separation. Haba! There is no wisdom in your decision. It's only a weakling of a man that runs away from problems. Problems are meant to be solved and not to run away from. Go back home and fix your marriage before it is too late. You have a good wife. Only you need to be man enough to lead and assure her that with you the future is alright for both of you and your children.

Know also that the Bible version you have quoted from is a heavily watered down version created by wicked people to keep the truth of the Bible obscured so that their slaves may continue to be slaves.

In summary, the songs of Solomon is the Bible book of a story of love between Solomon and his bride. Anthropomorphically speaking, Solomon is God while Israel (the people) is his bride. The real and true Israel of the Bible are the Negros who lost favour with God hence their devolution hence their present condition world wide today. God is the life and wisdom of Negros, but due to idolatry, we lost His presence and now grope about in darkness at noon, a lost people. Thank God for your life. But why deny the fact that the bible is first a real time event that happens to some people? Solomon in that passage was talking about his love life, are you saying Christians should not romance? This short post is to show how to be wise according to one of the parables of Jesus. The book of Matthew chapter 5 to 7 showcased the best teachings of our Lord, Jesus Christ. These are the messages preached by our master himself. And all of us need to acquit ourselves with these teachings as they were the things our Lord cherishes.

Therefore whosoever heareh these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. Mt.7:24-27
In our text, the bible talks about 2 types of men. There are 2 types of Christians, workers, ministers, pastors, members - the wise and the foolish. You are either a wise Christian or a foolish one. You cannot be in the middle.

Notice that Jesus was the one who gave us this revelation. In every gathering or congregation we would always have these 2 categories of people.

The same experiences of life…
One quick lesson we must learn from the passage is that there is no superman. God is no respecter of persons. Act.10:34. Both the wise and the foolish will go through the same challenges of life. Both will experience the rain, floods and winds.

The Wise
In that passage, Jesus gave two very important characteristics of the wise.

1. Hears the slaying of Jesus.
The man who hear the saying of Jesus is wise man.They devote time to hear and listening to Him. They do not devote their time to hear fables, comedy or jokes, but they devote it to hear the word of God. This is important as no man can rise above what he hears.
What you hear has a way of forming whom you are. You are but a product of what you hear. If all you hear is recession you will soon be swimming in it.

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.Rm.10:17. Your life is shapes by the kind of words that you hear regularly.

2. Doeth the word of God.
It is not enough to hear the word of God but to do it is more rewarding. Acting out the word of God is superior to hearing it. Hearing the word of God helps to build faith but by doing we make it our personal experience.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.Jm.1:22.

They are doers of the word and not doers of biology or medicine. They are doers of the word not doers of church doctrines, Bishop's philosophy and sayings. They derive joy from the word of their master, Jesus Christ.

What is the implication of being wise?

1. He will build his house on the rock. They are responsible to their household. They ensure the welfare and safety of their house. They have the future in sight by building capacity for coming challenges and opportunities.
Knowing full well that rain, flood and wind are challenges they already prepared ahead of any unforeseen incident that may occur.

2. He has power over situation of life. Whoso find wisdom find life.Pro.8:35. Wisdom preserves and protect. For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. Pro.9:11.
Wise men do not weep and suffer loss. They were not beaten down to surrender. Challenges of life bow to them. Happy is the man that findeth wisdom…Pro.3:13a.
The Foolish
The foolish is the opposite of the wise. A man who does not hear the word of God is a foolish man. You are not foolish because you did not go to school, not because you did not have some fantastic skills, but because you refused to devote time and energy to hear the word of God. It is wisdom to hear the word of our master, Jesus Christ.

As if to say that the prerequisite for wisdom is not a difficult criterion that cannot be met. You need not attend an IVY college or seminary.

Being wise require no theological training or experience. It is simply to hear His word! And this requirement is affordable by all. If you are reading this post you can afford to hear the word of God.

A foolish man will do a foolish thing for that is what he spent his time to hear. A foolish man cannot do the word of God. The word of God is not in him. It is not his way. His system is not wired to exhibit things that pertain to life and godliness.

A foolish man is not responsible to his household. The welfare and safety of his house is of no importance to him. He cares less for the future of his people the reason he built his house on the sand.

He may have attained the highest rank in academics, theology, government, and society that achievement does not make him wise if he does not give his ears to hear the word of God. No wonder after all the achievements on this earth some will still be sad, have depression and commit suicide.

And you need to make a choice where you want to belong. Whatever choice you make is what will follow you after now. Would you want to be wise or foolish?

Many christians don't understand this restitution of a thing. The only man that did restitution in the new testament was Zacheus and Jesus christ didn't force him to do so. He did it willingly because he was so happy the day Jesus came to his house dine with him.

Why was he over joyous because he had longed to see Jesus. a short man who had tried to meet Jesus one on one many times but could not. And the moment he tried to do something surprising Jesus saw him and told him he would come and dine in his house.

Now my question gies thus. An armed robber that has stolen cars and defrauded people of their valuables and later repented, how do you want him to return all those cars he stole at gun point after becoming a born again. May cars and other valuables have been stolen by armed robbers on the highways so how do you want them to return all these things to the people they dont even know?

Many people were big liars before they gave their lives to Jesus so how do you want them to remember the people they lied to and go back to them to make restitution thaf they lied to them sometime ago.

But we all know that the proper thing to do in that case was to pay the monies back into the treasury. Jesus never preached restitution but repentance.

1. Be his wife

This is the foundation of every relationship that will last a lifetime between a man and a woman. It would amount to wasting of time and effort if you spend your time chasing and labouring on a man that you have not accepted to be his wife.

16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. Gen.3

Throughout the Christian bible there is no place where the instruction to win a man was directed at a spinster, girlfriend, or concubine. It was directed at the wife.

It is important to know that the wife of a man is the only woman dutifully bound to win him by the word of God. She is the only one with the mandate to win him as his wife.

Perhaps the reason he has not been treating you well is because he does not see you as his wife yet, even though you both live under one roof.
Every woman who wants to win a man must first become his wife. Until you take that decision to be his wife, to spend the rest of your lifetime with him under whatever circumstances or condition it will be difficult to win his heart.

2. Submit yourself to him

You must be willing to voluntarily yield or surrender yourself to the will and authority of your man. Col.3:18.

22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Eph.5

18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Col.3

By submitting you allow him to rule over you. You allow him to take the lead in your life not minding whether he is capable or not. Submit to him as unto the Lord. He is your lord and your submission to the Lord must be replicated to your husband.

3. Subject yourself to him

The word subjection is superior to the word submission. A subject is someone who as a result of position or circumstance is under the control of another or authority. Your position as his wife forces you to become a subject to him even though you may be more intelligent than him.

Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives. 1Pet.3:1

It does not matter if you are sharper than him. Subjection makes you put your thoughts, resources, fame, and opportunities under his control. He owns you as his subject.

Here is a true picture of what subjection is. Submission makes you tell him how much you earn, but subjection makes you hand over your pay envelope to him as your lord. While submission is to kneel to greet him subjection on the other hand is to remain on your kneel until he is through greeting you. I know the latter may not apply to every culture.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Eph.5

4. Win him with your conversation

Many women think the way to win a man and make him stay permanently is by offering him regular good food and mind-blowing sexual experience. In as much as these things matter in marriage, you need to know that the kind of conversation you employ in your relationship will determine whether he will stay with you or not. 1Pet.3:1, Eph. 4:22

If you used food and sex to win a man you have won the wrong man. He will move on when a better cook and sexy model appear on the scene. It is just a matter of time.

The modern sense of the term conversation is mutual, talk, colloquy, but in the King James Version of the bible it never means that, but always behavior, conduct.

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Eph.2

This word is never used in scripture in the sense of verbal communication from one to another. It means one’s relations to a community as a citizen. The same way, a wife must exhibit good conduct and behavior for her to win her husband.

22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; Eph.4

5. Treat him with respect and honour

You want him to love you? Treat him with respect and honour. I have not seen a man who does not like respect and honour.
Learn to massage his ego. Make him feel like an emperor. Treat him with respect and honour he will not leave you.

6. Read and practice the Bible

You cannot win your man by learning from Hadley Chase, Mill & Boom and other romance novels. Relationship literatures and books are good but they are limited in their ability to provide the holistic help that you need in order to enjoy your marriage and relationship. 2Tim.3;16-17

The keys to winning your husband are resident in the bible. The bible is the only manual that provides answers to the entire needs of your marriage and relationship.

You cannot read and practice the bible in your relationship and fail. Marriage will work if partners practice the bible. The instructions from the book of life are always winners any day.

However, because it goes so strongly against our cultural mindset you may find it very tough and difficult to practice initially, but if you persist it will always payoff.

You must know that God originates marriage and no one can question His wisdom. The instruction to win your man is not about your husband but about you.

The instruction to win your husband is to you his wife and you must be willing to obey the word of God that will grant eternal peace in your relationship and home.

1. Be to her a husband

The word husband is from the word husbandry, meaning the care, cultivation and breeding of crops and animals, management and conservation of resources.
The same way the husband as the male in a marital relationship is that man who can care, nurture, manage and conserve the woman in his life. It will be difficult to love a woman when you are not yet a husband.
That is why the bible emphatically addressed the matter of showing love to women to their husbands. It is a husband who can know how to love a woman; his own wife.

2. Dwell with her

To dwell is to remain with something or someone for a time, to live together as a resident of a particular place, to exist together, to lie with.
You are to dwell with her not minding her natural tendencies. Husbands must remain with their wives in sickness and in health – whether it is convenient or not.
Dwelling with your woman as a way of showing love is not about her but about you. A loving husband must be willing to dwell with his wife when the going is good and when otherwise. It does not matter whether she is a nag, you are to show love by dwelling with her despite her weakness and strength. Do not dwell with her only when she is strong.

3. Treat her with knowledge

This is very important. She is your wife and not one of your siblings. She is your wife and not your girlfriend or concubine. She is not even your maid or personal assistant and should not be treated as one.
Treat her with knowledge, realize who she is to you and dwell with her according to that knowledge. Your wife is a stakeholder in your affairs. The moment you realized this the better for you.

4. Give her honour

This is wow! Love honours, adores and worship. You are to honour her both in public and private, when convenient and or not. It is one of the most difficult things to do for a man in a relationship but remember it is not about her but you.
It does not matter whether she I contentious you just must show love by honouring her.

5. Treat her with understanding

Your ability to understand a woman determines your love for that woman. It would be difficult to love someone you do not understand.
Be aware of her feelings and emotions. Understand her weaknesses and strength. By understanding her you will know how to render help where necessary.

6. See her as co-inheritor of God’s promises

Two are better than one. No matter how great you might be, when you married you will become far better.
There are certain honours and respects you cannot enjoy except you have a solid relationship with your wife. Every married man can testify to this. A good marital relationship always enhances the personalities of the people involved. It is a key to higher ground in life and ministry.
You are co-inheritors of the promises of God here on earth and so must treat each other that way. Treat her as co traveler, and pilgrim here on earth. You are both in the journey of life and so need the co-operation of one another to end well.
If you do not do this your prayer may be hindered, as good relationship promotes speed answers to prayers.

7. Love her the way you love God

Why? This is because if you do not love your wife that you live with and can see how can you love God that is not visible to the naked eye?
There should not be gap between your love for God and that of your wife. The same way you love God must be replicated in you’re the way you love your spouse.

Again, I want to emphasize the fact that showing love to your woman is not about her or her attitudes, but about you and your obedient to the word of God. It is better to remain unmarried than to have a broken marriage.
Marriage and marital relationships plays important roles in our ability to access the heavens and get positive responses. Prayers are hindered when there is no marital harmony. When love is not been practiced in a home, everything in and around that home will suffer.

An Opportunity To Be A Landlord without stress!

7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORDis.
8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. Jer.17

In the passage the bible used the picture of a tree to illustrate the life of a man who trusteth and hope in the Lord. Notice the way the bible put it - "blessed is the man." Not blessed is the G.O, pastor, professional, worker, minister, husband, wife but it said 'the man.' Our God is no respecter of persons. Anyone can qualify as the man.

Here, you find man receiving blessings without any physical work or response so to say. Only by trusting and hoping on the Lord, the bible likens the man to a tree planted by the waters. From that illustration, about six specific blessings meant for the man that trusts and hope in the Lord can be identified.

1. He shall be as a tree
A tree, and not a branch, stem or leaf.
Why a tree? The concept of tree is very broad and significant to us as believers no wonder God always use it to describe the state of His children. A tree is the reason for the existence of root, leaf, and fruit. In other words, the products of a tree are its roots, leaves, and fruits.

Nothing will exist without that man. The life and destiny of many will depend on the man that can but trust and hope in the Lord. When God said, he shall be as a tree, it means that the sustenance of many will be on him as he trusts in the Lord. The tree is the provider of many things among which is food, shelter, wellness, money, energy and others not mention. You are a tree as a child of God.

2. A tree planted by the waters
Prominent among the elements of photosynthesis is water. It is impossible for plant to survive without water. The water is the word of God. Nobody stays by the waters and suffers thirst. You cannot dwell by the waters of the word of God and suffer thirst. It is the water of life that quenches our thirst. When you drink from it you will thirst no more.

3. He shall spread out her roots by the river
The river is for permanent sustenance and nourishment. By staying close to the waters the tree will enjoy some form of sustenance but when it takes root into the river there is permanent sustenance which can only be truncated if the river ceases to exist. The riverside is always cool no matter the heat.

The river is the Holy Spirit. There is a level of blessings you will receive when you read the word of God at the realm of letters but when you get to the spirit realm the heaven will be your limit. The same way there is an understanding you will get when you read the word of God as letters but when you switch to the spirit you will get a better and superior understanding.

It is always good that believers take a step further to enter into the spirit realm of the word of God.

4. He shall not see when heat cometh
The world is full of heat. Anytime you are overwhelmed by the heat around you, it is because you are shifting trust and hope from the Lord.
Please, notice that the bible did not say heat will not come, but it said, he shall not see when it comes. The fact that the tree is planted by the waters and rooted in the river does not prevent the heat from coming to harass it. The heat is part of the weather conditions that forms the climate over a land.

What makes the difference is that this man no longer lives by the events around him but by the strength and sustenance from the word of God and Holy Spirit.

5. His root shall be green
This is because he no longer receives strength from the environment. He shall enjoy all round fruitfulness. No more dryness or withering of leaves. There is nothing like famine of resources for his growth and development.

6. He shall not be careful in the year of drought
Because he now operates from an entirely different environment, his existence and survival is a function of the river and water which are his host and not on the environment around him. Jesus told the woman of Samaria that there is water that put permanent end to the human thirst. Jn.4:10-14.

Success in the world is built around what you know and do but I tell you it is not going to be about what you know or do but about your source of strength.

7. He shall not cease from yielding fruit
All round fruitfulness as a result of its green leaves. It takes faith to comprehend the word of God. Do not narrow your faith to one aspect of God. God is dynamic and there are many sides to Him. If God can protect you He can also heal you. The same God that gave you salvation can give you wealth with it.

Faith helps us to enjoy the full benefits of the work on the cross. Jesus said, “have faith in God” It is faith that helps us to enjoy the full benefits of the work of the cross. "Jesus said, have faith in God."

This is the picture of the man who trusts and hope in the Lord. This is the word of God not that of a man. The word of God is the only authentic word for you to trust and belief. No man can survive in this wicked world without the word of God!

Sometimes in our journey of life it may look as if things are going the other way against our wish and desire. In this article we shall examine four practical ways to overcome delay according to the experience of the prophet, Habakkuk.

17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments. Hab.3

The situation in the land at the time of Habakkuk was such that it takes a man of faith to cope with happenings at the time. It was as if the opposite was the answer to all his prayers.
All that was happenings were negative and no positive. It was a trying period in the land and life of the man, Habakkuk. But in the midst of all these Habakkuk did not give up hope.
Why? Because, like the three Hebrews in the book of Daniel, He had prepared his mind both for the best and the worst. Dan.3:16-18

In our text, there are a few lessons to learn when it looks as if things were not going the way planned after we have done our part.

1 Whatever the situation we must learn to be positive: - don’t result to negate confession when the situation looks very tough. Don’t give up your life, home, marriage, health or career to the devil.

2. In a time like this you need the prayer of faith: - Jam.5:13-15. By faith we resist the devil. 1Pet.5;8-9. Faith is both substance and evidence. Heb.11:1. You can hold and see it in the spirit although it has not come to the physical.

3. Learn to rejoice: - 1Thess.5:16. Fill your heart with the joy of the Lord. You will secure joy in the presence of God. Ps.16:11. Joy is strength. Neh.8:9-10.

4. Learn to confess and walk in the victory that God has given you: - Ps.27:1. Don’t allow your situation to shut your mouth. Don’t allow what is happening now to tie your hands. Many pastors and believers’ today, the situation around them has shut their mouth. Don’t allow poverty or lack to make you tolerate unrighteousness.
God is and still will remain our strength. He will make us to His desire. He will grant us victory over the works of Satan.

Why the opposite?
In our text, there about six areas those things were not going the right way in the time of Habakkuk.
a. Fig
b. Vines
c. Olive
d. Field
e. Flock
f. Herd

We may not be able to talk about all these in this short sharing. But the implication of all these is that the devil is a thief with three fold missions- to steal, kill and to destroy your life. Jn.10:10. He enjoys preventing you from experiencing positive outcome in all your undertakings with passion. He is a thief. He is not your friend. He has a mission and that goal wasn’t going to be favourable to you in any way.

In concluding, this message is meant for the chief singer on his stringed instruments. Wow! We all have an element of song in our hearts. Here, the chief singer was still active. He has not given up his string instruments.
Have you stop singing the Lord’s song in the midst of adversity you are going through? Are your instruments of songs still active? Has your mouth been shut and your hands tied?
