Are you judging Barcelona as a team or Messi as a player. The discussion is about Messi and Ronaldo not Barcelona vs Madrid and you can’t be using 1 or 2 bad games to change the narrative.

Between 2009-2015, Messi finished as top scorer 5 out of 7 times and out of the 5 times he ended as top scorer, his goals and general contribution won 3 UCL for Barcelona.

And between 2009-2015, Barcelona & Messi failed to make UCL semi final just once and that was in 2014.

By bossing UCL, does he have to win back to back to back before you finally agree he bossed the tournament between 2009-2015?

Ronaldo scored decent teams like Arsenal, Tottenham, Hungary, Atalanta and Villarreal just like Messi scored decent teams Leipzig, Lille, Chile, Ecuador and Club Brugg.
