Yes, he is a great guy, he delivered as promised. Putting the thing together to start the life of LFP. One thing to say immediately; the Voltage holds. Your voltage will stay above 50 until the battery is squeezed dried of life. Makes it dangerous to use lithium without monitoring. I also did some capacity test and I got 85Ah out of 100Ah with my voltage still around 52.
Cool to hear your experience, you can set the maximum cut off voltage possible on your inverter which i guess will be 48v to avoid the BMS kicking in. Do enjoy your LFP.

Thanks for your reply. Is there anything I could do due to the observation u made? As per the mileage I’m suppose to see the car next week, but the seller said it’s around 60000. But I heard that they do alter the mileage
That is most likely an altered mileage. Just focus on engine performance as mileage won't help much here

Anyone know a good "middle class"(cost related) 200AH battery should kindly recommend?

Systrom:
Quick question on inverters

Charging my inverter batteries from the grid / mains (PHCN) while using a prepaid meter will be consuming my meter token/units very fast.

And charging with a generator will be burning fuel and still end up reducing / weakening battery life.

So what’s actually the purpose of inverters? As either way, it’s costly and you end up losing
Inverters (with inbuilt chargers) provide you power from your battery and charges your battery. You may consider including solar set-up to reduce the cost on metered utility supply.

Get a USD account, sign up for a debit USD card, that's it. There are some annual charges though

They debited me at a rate of 377.
I was actually surprised with testimonies about GT. I have known them to charge high rates so I just try to work with USD card as much as possible. You can get their USD debit card

Below is the type of report we get from the BMS we bundle with our DIY Lithium batteries.

The battery under observation is a 14S 48v 100AH Lithium ion chemistry

The BMS is called ANT-BMS, available on Aliexpress.
This is actually the BMS am looking to procure as well, can you share pictures of your LFP builds and price. It will be good if there is anyone here who have tried your build before?

That said, do you have the BMS in stock? I like to buy just that.

Pic attached is the kind of .

Ojeysky et al - what kind of information are you able to get out of your LFP BMS - does the BMS talk to you at all? Getting bored with my Pylons and considering getting a 48v LFP bank from JEMAG to play with.
My LFP is bundled with Daly BMS which is quite good but doesn't talk to human being ;-) it's one of the reason why my next LFP will be a DIY with a BMS that actually communicates cell info to humans. I earlier shared the ali URL to the specific BMS am looking to get.
Technology MarketRe: How To Set Up A Standard Backup Power Supply With Lifepo4 Battery by ojeysky(m): 8:02pm On Mar 14, 2020
simydan:
Finally! I was able to run a full load test on my setup after over two months of installation.

These are the load again:

1. 32" TV=67W
2. Home theatre=65W
3. Refrigerator=100W
4. Decoder= 18W
5. Fan=20W

Total load: 67+65+100+18+20=270W

Setup: 12V 100AH Lifepo4 battery ~ 1200W
600W 12V Inverter.

OK! Test started at exactly 12:00PM
Battery voltage was 13.1V before putting on the load. Battery voltage dropped to 12.9V as soon as all load came up.

All loads run from 12:00PM to 5:00PM and battery voltage was 12.5V. At exactly 5:00PM I removed the Refrigerator and the Home Theatre, now left with TV Decoder and Fan still running.
The system was run without refrigerator and sound system from 5PM to 8PM when I finally shot down the system at shot down battery voltage was 11.1V.

System worked for a total of 8hours with 5hours of full load and another 3hours of regular load.

At this point, I don't need a pro or a guru to say it is a standard backup before I believe.
It is actually, and indeed a standard backup as was the intention for this thread... grin grin grin

With a good solar setup attached to this, system can go with full load during the day and hold up well with minimal load at sundown till the next sunshine with battery within 50% DOD or less.

An ideal solar setup for this system would be nothing less than a quality 600W solar panels and a good mppt CC of 30A or 40A.

For my solar setup I already have a smart 30A mppt CC on standby...
Fantastic experience sharing! though the 270w won't be constant since the refrigerator compressor will cut off occasionally and the home theater will usually be at its peak at peak volume, but with the 3hrs jara you are indeed close to your full capacity.

Lithium is no longer the future, it's the present.
Meanwhile anyone with at least 300A rated bus bars to connect Lifepo4 cells for sale should kindly ping me.

Ofcourse you can buy and resale I don't see any law preventing that. FX increased to over 400 yesterday but today it came down to 375 so you can buy and hope it will increase in future especially with this oil issue cool

What's the mppt max power? Can it accommodate your panels? Or do you have a separate CC. I'm using same axpert 3kva and mine is 600w although I connected my panels to fangpusun mppt charge controller
Mine is rated max 1500w so no, it doesn't accommodate my panel but I get the max out of it which is 60A (peaks at about 1.7kw)

This is why I am partial to products with local support available and also always keep a backup inverter on hand since I have severed my connection to the grid and have no generator assist.

If I had to buy and import a GK like you did, I would buy + replacement boards and other components.
Lesson learnt, had to get the badly cloned axpert called felicity brand and reconfigured my panels to 3s3p..... It's serving for now. Just that it has made my logging quite inaccurate due to the strange way felicity presents its output.

In my own case, if I can no longer stand those unusual peculiarities of his installed BMS, na to get better BMS with bells and whistles (to quote Niyiomolyunade grin ) and swap it in to the cells.

But let me lay hands on the battery pack fess .I think I can manage a gamble with tweaks on 130k LFP battery. Besides LFP unlike Lead acid, will still be forgiving of some maltreatment cheesy

I once came across an LFP BMS with in-built WiFi on AE. You can monitor the activity of every cell pack remotely. Will search for it again.

12v 120ah, 155k, procured and installed since 4 months ago. Stuff was imported from China by the Nigerian supplier - I later found out the name of the factory (written on the nameplate) as a manufacturer on Alibaba.
Ah I think I remember your post on this gold(something)..... Keep enjoying your Lifepo4.

I have actually adviced that particular seller to consider using BMS with Comms that provides opportunity to monitor/manage the status of each cells. It's one of the reason I will be trying out a DIY in my next Lifepo4 quest. Still gathering the indigents....but this recent USD surge may show down things

We recently met this 65inch plasma at a site . Client says this TV set cost him real money some 4 years ago & he isn't willing to let go angry .. This isn't the 1st site we're experiencing this as most don't really know plasma tv are energy guzzlers .. We see some clients who don't believe in just changing a working electronic and that's partly a major challenge we do face sometimes in renewable energy quotes & installation. Later some will say 2 battery system didn't last long with just TV on .. It's well !!
This is more than my total consumption which includes my fridge and freezer plus ofcourse a 50" TV (without the AC etc)
