Azikiwe betrayed southern unity to send Awolowo to jail. He, Azikiwe did this alongside his northern masters in crime (Ahmadu Bello and Tafawa Balewa).

No..Awo was actually sent to prison by a Yoruba judge.

Culture › Re: Which Nigerian Tribe Owns Ogbono Soup, Okro Soup, Egusi Soup , Vegetable , White by Ojiofor: 10:43pm On May 28, 2013
ABOUT OKRA FROM WIKI.
The name okra is most often used in the United States, with a variant pronunciation, English Caribbean okro. The word okra is of West African origin and is cognate with ọkwurụ in the Igbo language spoken in Nigeria.[2] Okra is often known as "lady's fingers" outside of the United States.[3] In various Bantu languages, okra is called kingombo or a variant thereof, and this is the origin of its name in Portuguese (quiabo), Spanish (quimbombó or guigambó), Dutch and French, and also possibly of the name "gumbo", used in parts of the United States and English-speaking Caribbean for either the vegetable or a stew based on it.[4] In India and Pakistan, and often in the United Kingdom, it is called by its Hindi/Urdu name, bhindi, bhendi, bendai or "bhinda". In Tamilnadu, India it is called as Vendaikai.

Ojukwu an Igboman honoured Awo with the best president Nigeria never had and Yorubas completely agreed with him while foreigners honoured Achebe with title of father of African literature, yorubas completely disagreed with the rest of the world to give honour to whom it is due.I agree with with CBN governor that yorubas are the problem with nigeria.ote author=Aigbofa]

There's nothing ambiguous about Ojukwu's statement. Either you can't read English or you are extremely dishonest.
Politics › Re: Wole Soyinka's Interview About Chinua Achebe by Ojiofor: 9:55pm On May 19, 2013
the title of his new book is called, OF AFRICA.........It has sold 25 copies worldwide.... grin
babyosisi: Who reads those works
That is the question
How many has he sold ?
The amount he has sold is not documented, that shows you it not as significant as many other writers.
He is a smart man,yes but his works are not as popular going by book sales
None of his works are required texts not even in Nigeria
At the end of the day,it is all about the numbers

At the time Achebe published his memoirs,WS also wrote a book, who knows the title of Wole's book?
Many are just hearing of that book there from you

Musiwa aka becomerich churns out a thousand threads every blessed week, who reads and contributes in them grin grin grin
It is not by the amount of books dear
Politics › Re: Wole Soyinka's Interview About Chinua Achebe by Ojiofor: 9:06pm On May 19, 2013
Even if he did said that,he said it to his face.why did soyinka have to wait until Achebe pass on before opening his mouth?

Nah, the jealous one was the one that said this:

"He did make one rather unfortunate statement that brought down the hornet’s nest on his head, something like: “The fact that Wole Soyinka was awarded the Nobel Prize does not make him the Asiwaju (Leader) of African literature”.
Politics › Re: Wole Soyinka's Interview About Chinua Achebe by Ojiofor: 3:37am On May 19, 2013
My friend Achebe's book was not all about Awo.
shymexx: Why didn't Achebe write his memoir when Awolowo was alive?

And where in the interview did he rubbish Achebe's name?

He defended him and intelligently dodged most of the questions that would have made the late Achebe look bitter, to be honest. undecided
Politics › Re: Wole Soyinka's Interview About Chinua Achebe by Ojiofor: 2:58am On May 19, 2013
Why didn't he make those points when his friend was still alife,I would have taken him serious had he said it when Achebe was still around to defend himself, but no,he has to wait until he passed on to say rubbish..

an made a lot of solid points in the interview and addressed every question that was posed to him like an upstanding man should - using supreme mastery of the use of English. However, rather than discuss the obvious points that he made(whilst defending and covering up for late Achebe's imperfections) - you've resulted to shallow ad hominem attacks, Mr. O.J-E-Of-Fvck.

Use your damned brain cells for once in your pathetic life and stop thinking out of your ar.se, fool!

Anyway, the best don't care about sales and commercialisation of their art. That's why you can't compare Prince to Adele or Rihana!
Politics › Re: Wole Soyinka's Interview About Chinua Achebe by Ojiofor:
certainly she has sold more than him.how many people knows about his latest work?
Politics › Re: Wole Soyinka's Interview About Chinua Achebe by Ojiofor: 2:16am On May 19, 2013
All na jealosy,Many don't know it, but Soyinka wrote a book, Of Africa at about the same time Achebe wrote There was a Country. No one remembers the book today, even in death Achebe still remain the Iroko of African literature.
