Decampment: APGA accuses APC of falsehood

on September 11, 2013 / in News 12:00 am / Comments

By CLIFFORD NDUJIHE

National chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Umeh has advised Interim National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Bisi Akande, to steer clear of politics of falsehood and propaganda, which he alleged the APC leadership had embarked upon.

Reacting to the parading of 22 chairmen of APGA at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, where Akande received them, Umeh, in a statement by his Special Assistant (Media), Mr. Stan Okeke, described the exercise as a parade of garage touts by Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.

Recalling that various newspapers had reported that five National Working Committee, NWC, members of APGA were also said to have defected to APC at the same ceremony, Umeh explained that no NWC member defected to APC, emphasizing that it was rather five redundant state chairmen of APGA from Lagos, Cross River, Niger, Kogi and Taraba states that joined the APC.

He said APGA was embarrassed by the news story, wondering how an elderly man as Akande could have allowed himself to be deceived by Governor Okorocha. According to him, Chief Akande stood the chance of verifying the claims before setting up the phantom defection ceremony.

This action, Umeh stated, portrayed APC as an unserious and desperate organisation. He advised Akande to avoid politics of propaganda, adding that what the citizenry expected from APC was much more than what the party is presently offering Nigerians.

Abagworo: I did not vote in that election but I can authoritatively tell you that APGA played zero role in sustaining Rochas victory. The master stroke has to do with security report filed by someone you don't know. Ohakim's camp had plans of putting Imo in chaos but a true son of Imo State gave a security report that crippled the plans. Who is he?

Abagworo: I think its an internal PDP affair and its their PDP business like I stated earlier.

Truthfully Jonathan is serving his 2nd term and not 1st as you just presumed. He finished off the last 2 years of Yar'Adua and contested for a 2nd term. It was the quest to hold on to power that brought about twisting of glaring facts. However if the court of law states that this is his 1st term, then he has every right to contest the 2nd.

The civil society is not in support of his policies and control majority of Nigeria's active political followership. The NLC, NUPENG, PENGASSAN, ASUU, ASUP, OKada riders, NURTW, NANS and others are not impressed with Jonathan's administration.
Over dose of APC is very dangerous to your health.Be warned!

chi 3280: You are an ungrateful ingrate! How many igbo men have been made VP or even thinking of such an idea since PDP came into power? The present Senate President and Speaker of HOS are not Igbos. Why don't you embrace APC and let our dream of having an igbo VP become a reality? Am not an APC member, but this is the time to show appreciation.

shame on you!!
Greater shame on you and people who thinks like you.you hear!was Ekwueme not VP before and during OBJ rule senate presidency went to Ndigbo for 8 years?and finally why not give mallam okorocha their presidential slot rather than vp slot to entice Ndigbo to vote for APC.

Mallam VP Okorocha is not enough to entice SE, Chose the mallam as your presidential candidate we might just reconsider things.
