Culture / Man Set To Marry Goat 'he Is In Love With' At Devils Church In October by ojoko1(m): 11:23am On Sep 12, 2013
A widower in Brazil, Aparecido Castaldo, 74, has decided to end his solitutude and marry his pet goat, Carmelita.
“She doesn’t speak and doesn’t want money,” says the father of eight children - four women and four men from four different marriages.

Mr Castaldo, who has been in love with the pet for two years, wanted to be united with his goat Carmela in a church, by an evangelical minister.
Unfortunately, none of the churches he contacted with his unusual request wanted to perform the ceremony.
So Aparecido eventually contacted Toninho do Diabo (Tom the Devil), an old friend who just happens to be one of the most famous satanists in Brazil.

The wedding is now scheduled to take place at midnight, on October 13, at the Devil’s Church, in Sao Paolo. ”Only our church accepted this love between man and animal because we have no prejudice,” Toninho said.

The wedding will be followed by a big party on All Souls’ Day the following day.

Carmelita ate her first wedding dress but has been found another.
Her husband to be , Mr Aparicedo said: “Whenever someone says I am doing something wrong I reply the goat does not speak, ask for money to go shopping and doesn’t get pregnant - and she can’t talk.”

Politics / President Jonathan Appoints Interim Ministers To Repace The Nine Sacked. by ojoko1(m): 11:00am On Sep 12, 2013
President Jonathan didn't particularly give reasons for the mass sack that happened yesterday but there are speculations in some quarters that it was politically motivated. Anyway, see below the serving ministers deployed to oversee the activities of the ministries which lost their ministers today.

Labaran Maku (Minister of Information) - Ministry of Defence
Nyesom Wike (Minister of State for Education) - Ministry of Education
Darius Ishaku (Minister of State for Niger Delta Development) - Ministry of Environment
Musa Sada (Minister of Solid Mineral Dev) - Ministry of Lands, Housing & Urban Development
Omobola Johnson ( Minister of Communication Technology) - Ministry of Science and Technology
Bashir Yuguda (Minister of state, Works) - Ministry of National Planning.
Akinwumi Adesina (Ministers of Agriculture) - Ministry of State for Agriculture
Chinedu Nebo (Minister of Power) - Ministry of Power for State
Politics / Al-mustapha's Letter To Jonathan. by ojoko1(m): 10:21am On Sep 12, 2013
Your Excellency, I bring you good tidings. I want to thank you for this generous gesture of yours which has made it possible for me to breathe the air of freedom again, and to reunite with my family, especially my wife Hafsat, who had dwelt in her own prison throughout my incarceration. I decided to write you this letter the very first day I learnt that you had made up your mind to set me free. That was weeks before my eventual release. I know some of my words will sound unpalatable; but I am a soldier in whose squadron flattery is hardly a virtue. Obviously, this freedom makes me happy indeed but your motive, at least the perceived it, tore my heart to shreds. I heard it is all about 2015, and not that I was unfairly incarcerated or that a court of competent jurisdiction had acquitted me. However, I maintain even now that I am innocent of the crimes I was accused of and condemned to death for. I am not the only one to rise from the dead. Your wife, Patience, also died and returned, remember? I am scandalized by the political undertone in the broth of my freedom. I was once the most powerful military officer in this country but now, from what I gather, you have reduced me to a pawn on the chessboard of politics? In the past, generals paid me compliments; but time changes everything. Mr President Sir, please permit me to call you by your pet-name Jona. I understand that everything you do these days has 2015 imprimatur, but bringing me into the realms of politics is not a wise idea. Let me refresh your memory a little, if you would let me. I was incarcerated in connection with the murder of Mrs Kudirat Abiola. Of course just as your popular picture as politician who is respected among his neighbours in Otuoke sticks on you like glue, my reputation as a daredevil and fearless intelligence officer precedes me. My creation, the Strike Force, is the deadliest Abuja, has ever known. Oh, I am so proud of its accomplishments. Strike Force made a snake in a garden shudder in fear during our time. Some even said that we had a crocodile pond into which we threw uncooperative people, usually NADECO members or stubborn journalists. But I can assure you no one has pointed out the pond since we left power. You see, I do not know how many books you have read Jona; but I have even memorised the Holy Qur’an. As a Muslim, it fortified my belief that in spite of the desire of those who wanted me dead, I would be free; may be not as quickly as I was discharged and acquitted but obviously anytime soon. Why did you release me Jona? Almost all of those who learnt of my release that fateful Friday morning hung my freedom on 2015. They say you are obsessed with it and that you would unchain the devil himself to realize your goal. But I am what the Americans call a goon, you know? I know nothing but soldiering. Forget my grandstanding at the Oputa Panel. It was military strategy. I knew in my military wisdom that a million SANs would not free me if I did not take my destiny in my own hands, with facts and warts. Lawless people don’t change overnight. Without any prejudice to the lawyers in this country, Jona, I can say without fear of contradiction that my tactics hit a chord, with and I believe that is why I am here. But mark you Jona, I Al Mustapha, have no political value in my region, the north, which you are trying to reach out to but which you have also offended in no small measure. Northerners will hardy forget how you ignored the Boko Haram insurgency until it got out of hand. Unofficial sources claim that close to 800,000 people, most of them northerners, lost their lives and property worth billions destroyed by the insurgents. The insurgency has resulted in northerners losing their positions in the armed forces; mediocrity now reigns. To me as a former Chief Security Officer, your initial inaction depicted a total loss of control. You were a lame duck, even in your first term. So what’s all this elaborate orchestration for 2015? But don’t mind my position, Jona. Time on death row has taken the winds off my brains. Never mind Yerima Ngama, your minister of state for finance, who told people that my sharp reasoning still amazes him. Ngama is not a psychiatrist. He probably never paid any attention to my behaviour while I marked time in Kirikiri. I had been confused. Sometimes, I greeted people with a clenched fist; while some other times, I smiled, like General Gowon does. At other times, I saluted in military fashion. You would have noticed too, Jona, that my choices since coming out are dangerously flawed. I greeted everyone in sight: TB Joshua, Fashehun, Otokoto, Ganiyu Adams and Tokyo, to mention a few of them. I make no distinction between the living and the dead, just like I have not adjusted to life outside prison. I even sought Abiola out only to learn that he is deceased. In that miasma, I paid first homage to the Kano Sate Government instead of my people in Yobe. It would have served me just as well if I had driven straight to Gashua and shook hands with Shekau! Mr President, I am saying all these because personally I know that where the north is concerned, I am a political paper tiger. Like Larry Hagman of the famous soap Dallas, I am the man that people love to hate. I lack the political value you ascribe to me, and if you released me to score a political point in my region, you have only taken a fool’s gambit. But I’m sorry; I can’t help your 2015 dream.
Yours faithfully,
Al-Mustapha.

TV/Movies / BBA Africa: Matters Arising by ojoko1(m): 9:50am On Jun 17, 2013
The show ‘Big Brother Africa’ no doubt has generated a lot of controversies in recent times. Worthy of note is the fact that the sponsors or organizers are near-faceless, the show exhibits low moral value and the in itself falls short of what is expected in these days where clamour for the good old days when cultural and good moral values was at its peak.
I was ‘opportune’ to watch the opening gala when BBA contestants were ushered in to the house. From there, I developed great interest as to what will become of the contestants during the course of the show. I’d followed the program closely for a week before I fully realize the full negative effect it could have on the society at large (Even the so-called ‘above 18’). Though many have criticized the show based on the negative effect it could have on the society especially the youth, I criticize both from the moral and spiritual angle.
1. Why is it that name of God was part of the words edited from BBA? Included are words like Bleep, Shit etc. Take note of this when any contestant wants to exclaim O my ***!
2. Why is it that only contestants of questionable characters and unstable background were allowed into the house. Examples are Pokello who released a soft porn some weeks before the commencement of the program. Hakeem who came from a separated family. Our own Beverly who discussed with a housemate on how she aborted at 17 and play on the intelligence of men for money. Angelo and LK4 who displays nothing of mental ability but tattoos and booze. The list is endless.
3. Why is it that ‘Angels’ that come to assist them in various tasks are always in black? The last time I checked, only Satanic agents wears black.
4. Is there any lesson to be learnt from BBA apart from sexual obsession, Alcohol, Smoking, Tattoo, etc? If there is, what are these lessons that can justify this high level of moral degradation?
5. Finally, I will like to ask, WHO IS REALLY THE BIG BROTHER AND WHY DOES HE CHOOSE TO SPEAK IN THAT MANNER?
I will overlook the choice of their logo before I’m accused of being obsessed with Illuminati.
God bless us all.

smile4kenn: I feel so honored to be the first comment. All of my hard work and dedication has paid off. Getting the top comment has been a dream of mine for many years, and I would like to thank those who have helped me along the way. First and foremost I would like to thank God for giving me this opportunity. Next, I would like to thank my girlfriend. She had been patience with me while I attempt to make the top comment. I would also like to thank my pet tadpole for surviving against all odds for over a week. Next I would like to thank the squirrel that lives in my backyard for climbing trees because that gives me inspiration that I need to get through the day to make the top comment. This is a special moment in my life and I would like to thank any of my unmentioned friends and family that have helped me along the way. This moment will be a moment that I will never forget. I just remembered a few other people I will like to thank; Facebook, my light in my room bc i wouldn’t be able to see the keyboard without it, the internet for letting me go on nairaland, my house because without it I would be homeless, and last but not least I would like to thank all the people out there that actually took time out of their day to read this. I cannot stress how much of a big deal to me this is. I have been trying to be the first comment on a post for years, but that has not been possible until this amazing day. Hopefully my good luck will continue, but this is undoubtedly a rare occasion. If you asked me how I did this, I would say, you can achieve anything u set your mind on. To all the nairalanders out there reading this, I would like to tell them to follow their dreams. Being the first comment is amazing, thank you everyone.

eforce: Here are the best in Ado-ekiti
1. House of Faith-(Although there is a lot of emphasis on giving, it is a new generation church that would help you in times like this)
2.MFM- The place lacks a little in good music, but very good mostly in spiritual affairs such as deliverance and fervent prayers.
3.AGAPE- This is a branch of the main church in Akure, it is also just like house of faith, strategically positioned for youth development and destiny fulfilment.
4.Redemmed( Life Gate parish at adehun)complete church, they have a little of everything, messages are basically bible study
5.chapel of his glory- Old school church, (faith of our fathers living still).Lacks motivational enlightenments but very christlike
6.deeper Life_ like every other one in the country, holiness is our watchword, that;s all
6b. global harvest church- youth church , motivational and forward moving.
7. winners chapel- everybody's church including politicians and commissioners, aristos and all yet there are still good christians there, what you go there to find is what you would get, giving is also an emphasis though
8.christ embassy- Party church, good motivation for destiny fulfillment, but falls behind in christian living and holiness, in other words you might get lost in the church, there is also a little bit of pastor worship but very good for destiny fulfillment and healing

These are the churches on our radar in ado-ekiti, Grace covenant is also there but dont know much about them. CAC too is good but i had to remove it when one of the branches had issues with their pastor, i don't know what state they are now, that was some years ago though.
at poster, there is nothing like church prostitution, as far as christianity and the bible is concerned, every ministry has a specific calling, only redeemed comes closest to a complete church, even though redeemed is still more for salvation etc. you have to look inward and determine with the guidance of God, exactly what you need and the ministry to provide it, you may have to attend 2 or 3 ministries constantly. It would also prevent you from pastor worship, stagnancy and religious activities as against faith and the fruit of the spirit.
God bless you.

pls can we meet? I reside in Ado. iferichy@gmail.com

Jobs/Vacancies / A Story For The Jobless! Don't Ignore. by ojoko1(m): 11:56am On Feb 09, 2013
Life is now so rosy and beautiful.. But just like a proverb goes, after a long night, morning surely comes. Mine is a story of a once frustrated and hopeless guy but now a fufilled and successful one. Not to bore u with long text of my story, I will break it down and go straight to the point. I finished serving in 2011 in Enugu. Just like my colleaques, I aimed for a well paying job and even turned down some immediately after service thinking that's Ђδω it will continue pouring in. After a long search, I swallowed M̶̲̥̅γ̲̣̣̥ pride and got a Nur/Pry school job in Ado Ekiti. I resigned after 4months due to unfufilment on my part. I was idle for 2 months before I called my closest frnd to start a Private Computer trainning institute (WITH NO DIME ON US). We were able to borrow 20k from a sister to make flyers and handbills. We went from house to house teaching kids and adult computer and also from sch to sch to train teachers. Luck smiled on ♍ε when after 5months, I was called for an interview in Stanbic IBTC. I got the job and resigned last month after I got a permanent Federal job. My friend is now working with First bank Plc. These are the lessons you should note:

1. Never stay Idle. If you can't take a low paying job. Add value to urself by takin up a proffessional or a vocational course.

2. Start a small business of your own. Remember I started with 15k and till the business lasted, we got over 200k.

3. There is no hopeless situation. With God, you can work things out.

4. Move closer to God. If he's the originator of your life, He definately has a plan for u (apology to nobody).

Lastly, I wish u well in ur endeavours. U can also send ur CV to iferichy@gmail.com.

One love.
