phemi01: It's funny how a lot of nigerians allow sentiments to influence their judgement. The fact that you bear so much grudge against the school doesn't mean u shouldn't stand for what is right. I'm really surprised a lot of ppl are saying the school belongs to the federal govt and I wonder if they understand what GOVT means. Unilag is controlled by the GOVT(federal) and the govt comprises every nigerian as a leader cannot exist without the people. Hence Nigerians have a say in whatever affects them. what grudge? most people like myself who are against the protest see it as a pure waste of time. the individuals protesting would never had been consulted if so-called due process was carried out. and by the way renaming is not about re branding rather it was in remembrance of Abiola. if the president had involved the National Assembly it would only be for symbolic ratification and for purpose of gazzetting. Re-branding is not equal to re naming. the school modus operandi remain the same. the students are for SWAGGA CONTINUA period! |

abbey621: Ha......Jonathan O ma ku suru o! From Boko Haram to Plane Crash to being sued by incompetent wanabee student lawyers, with clueless thought process. Correct me if I'm wrong, is UNILAG a federal university or not? Are federal universities in Nigeria answerable to the federal government? Can they be legally changed by federal derivatives? What is the difference between University of Ife and University of Lagos? Could it be that the students of Unilag have no faith in the school's educational structures and are really just in school because of the name? After careful consideration, it's clear to me and any other sane individuals that these kids are way out of their league and any reasonable judge would throw out the case immediately. obviously someone is getting paid while the school is closed. these goats are being used two ways. The student union guys have been bribed by politicians who want to strike a cheap punch. |

Jimoh Ibrahim has got the Midas Touch in reverse mode. Anything he touches turns to sh1t. This guy never made money as a business man, I believe it was during the Abacha era he made it big with help from Aso Rock. That's one of the problems we have in Nigeria. These opportunistic thieves make money from corruption and don't have a clue on how to re-invest it. Imagine Ibori buying properties in London and around the world like it was going out of fashion. My gawd! how many houses does an individual need? 2 Likes |

Jokes Etc / Impossible to Pleas by OK2NV3: 1:36am On Jun 05, 2012 |
Impossible to Please A group of girlfriends is on vacation when they see a 5-story hotel with a sign that reads: "For Women Only." Since they are without their boyfriends and husbands, they decide to go in. The bouncer, a very attractive guy, explains to them how it works. "We have 5 floors. Go up floor by floor, and once you find what you are looking for, you can stay there. It's easy to decide since each floor has a sign telling you what's inside." So they start going up and on the first floor the sign reads: "All the men on this floor are short and plain." The friends laugh and without hesitation move on to the next floor. The sign on the second floor reads: "All the men here are short and handsome." Still, this isn't good enough, so the friends continue on up. They reach the third floor and the sign reads: "All the men here are tall and plain." They still want to do better, and so, knowing there are still two floors left, they continued on up. On the fourth floor, the sign is perfect: "All the men here are tall and handsome." The women get all excited and are going in when they realize that there is still one floor left. Wondering what they are missing, they head on up to the fifth floor. There they find a sign that reads: "There are no men here. This floor was built only to prove that there is no way to please a woman." |

Hieght of stoopidity. UNIBEN students during IBB's rule initiated the "IBB MUST GO" riots, which was an eye opener to Babangida leading him to seriously consider conducting elections, which he did. These idioots are complaining about the loss of swagg and saying sh1t about brand name where it is obvious that there is nothing cool about your rubbish school. Where does UNILAG rank amongst African Universities? What research contribution has the world benefited from your glorified secondary school? 1 Like |
