Meanwhile, this is Lugard’s views on the major tribes in Nigeria.
These tribal groups are the perfect combination for the disaster we have witnessed from independence till date

Very good. Positive ripple effects of the Dangote Oil refinery felt through the energy sector.
I hope Dangote invests in the steel sector and revive the Ajaokuta steel plant.
We can then manufacture all sorts of spare parts and weapons.
That is the real independence the imperialists are sceptical to allow Africa have. |

Truvelisback: His own is outrageous because he made it look he has a beef with them. He has beef with the transactional gospel of monetary tithing and seed sowing. “Mobilising” God with money before God does something in return for you. Are you comfortable with the transactional gospel? Is that the God Jesus preached about? He is shattering the tables of mammon worshippers and their extortionate doctrines. I find it incredibly pleasing.

I will dedicate this year to deconverting people and letting them see how thick skulled their gods like Jehovah and Allah are. I will fill myself this year with reading up the DOCTUFOS OF OTEM. LandMann: You're a dunce if you believe tribalism doesn't exist.
Go to any black community and claim racism never exist and see if you'll come out of there with your complete body
Tribalism is why Tinubu appointed yorubas as CBN governor, minister of finance, inspector general of police, minister of interior, chief of army staff, etc. He needs people he can speak freely with in his local dialect.
Tribalism is not a bad thing if your society is homogeneous because tribalism in its most basic form is nationalism. Tribalism becomes bad when you practice it in a heterogeneous society like Nigeria with many tribes, many ethnicities, many nationalities...
Practicing tribalism is dangerous in a heterogeneous society like Nigeria because you sacrifice competence, equity and fairness for parochial basic human instinct such as need to speak a common language. Tribalism easily leads to nepotism. You start rewarding people not because of their effort but because they can speak your language even if they're not competent and qualified. That's taking humanity to a state of nature.
Tribalism is very present in Nigeria, irrespective of what the politicians are doing with it.
Before you make your unfounded claims about absence of tribalism in Nigeria, go and work in a setting dominated by one particular tribe different from yours in Nigeria. Hmmm… an interesting perspective. |

obianoooo: Don't be foolish, as much as it's fun we need to consider the security aspect
If carnival is to take place in Lagos then the location should be at the island with heavy security But if not at the island then i see it as a foolish act, because it's like calling a gathering of predators i.e,of arm robbers to carry out thier act by spying on area with people doing well. I assume you were blind to read Lagos OR OGUN Oh wait, unless you don’t rate Ogun State at all |

Osariemen12: Spits.
The beauty of the Calabar carnival is the pulchritudinous nature of their women: something you don't have in southwest. Yoruba ladies don't have the sleeky body that can match beautiful cultural costumes. Having them in such an event will amount to environmental eyesore. Ok Reno Omokri, we’ve heard you. |
