PoliticsRe: Boreholes: A Corps Member Vs Peter Obi by okeyley: 8:23am On Apr 10, 2024
Now from the 2 pictures let me do analysis

1. both of them are supplying water
2. The first picture is to a rural setting without electricity while the 2nd is to a semi urban area with electricity
3. A need is being meet by the two projects
4. the two projects were done by persons of the same region to communities that is not in their region(one in Kaduna and the other in Ogun) as the two pictures potrayed.
5. The project executors are examplary of what humanity needs irrespective of tribe region and other human made affliation.

I know the purpose of the OP is to malign this noble projects in a way to compare what private citizens do with their private funds as opposed to constructively criticise the government of the day for failing to meet the basic needs of the citizens, with our common wealth.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Crude Oil Sold In Advance To End In June, 2024 by okeyley: 5:36pm On Apr 05, 2024
Lori iro

A bad workman always quarrels with his tools.

whenever this maladminstration wants to justify their failures they blame themselves and past Administrations

How can you not supply yourself crude for domestic use and be telling me that it has been sold. it is like a farmer that sells all his farm produce and is telling the family to brace up for hunger till next planting season abi harvest.

who does that? Is that not the level of insensitivity on the side of the government?
Anyway they feel they can always get away with their frustrating maladministration and policies. But a day is coming when they cannot get away with it anymore

I wonder how the druggie thinks. How would you copy US in electricity tariff and not copy their minimum wage

They will be quick to copy their laws and not their system of governance

They will quote prices in dollars but will not allow you to earn or hold the same dollars

they hate accountability but wants you to be accountable at all times.
like I said earlier this government is always bent on inflicting pains and hArdship on the citizens always.

Government actually subsides education. For students attending government schools .Even at university level, which is why when you get admitted into a government university, you don't pay fees in the millions of naira like they do at private universities.

And they have been doing so for decades
Are you supporting this maladministration's thirst for reckless spending on frivolity or are you supporting directed spending that can better the citizens welfare and wellbeing
PoliticsRe: FG Subsidises Hajj Fares With ₦90 Billion by okeyley: 11:43am On Mar 29, 2024

PoliticsRe: N’Assembly Passes Student Loan Bill, Proposes Jail For Defaulters by okeyley: 2:59pm On Mar 21, 2024
SoNature:
You need to understand the basic principle of life: You cannot give what you don't have.

In the United States, the FG gives student loans to their citizens for them to pay their tuition fees and living expenses and pay back when they start working.

In the same country, Prodigy Finance and Mpower (two private lending companies) give student loans to international students to pay their school fees and living expenses without collateral and have them pay back when they start working.

You see, the two loan categories are available to students because the government has made massive investments in their private sector that has grown over the years to give jobs to graduates. In other words, their government provides businessmen with everything they need to survive and succeed.

As a result, America creates hundreds of thousands of jobs every month. In fact, the American economy added about 300k jobs only in January 2024, meaning that jobs are readily available for graduates to start working and repay their student loans.

In Nigeria, jobs are not available because our government is not painstakingly making efforts to create the environment to encourage the private sector.

In short, what we see here is a situation where privileged politicians always loot the little resources of the country because the institutions that should carry out checks and balances are too weak to do that or they have been undermined.

This means that our government cannot facilitate their employment because the jobs are not readily available anywhere in Nigeria.
Better oil dey your head
You got the gist. Let them ensure that the demand is high enough then they can make it work.

If it were to be say Medical courses and ICT courses that the demands are high then we can be discoursing loan or no loan
