My question is are there any among the members of the Living faith Church richer or at the same wealth level of Papa. I meant are there any record of members who own private jet and have multiple universities just like papa? Since you guys pay your tithes and other convenant vows regularly. . Don't derail the purpose of the thread. Come to Living Faith Church and see and hear for yourself. Don't come to nairaland to spew balderdash and ask stupid questions. |

Politics › Re: Arewa Quit Notice: Traditional Rulers Want Igbos To Invest In Southeast by Okies27(m): 4:29pm On Aug 14, 2017 |
OrientDailyNews: By Michael Ezenwata
Some traditional rulers in Anambra State have urged Igbos to take advantage of the quit notice issued to Igbos resident in the northern Nigeria by Arewa Youths to begin to invest in their home states.
According to Igwe Chijioke Nwankwo, the traditional ruler of Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area, Igbos living outside the southeast should consider their home land as top
priority for investment. Nwank- wo, made the call while react- ing to the recent quit notice issued by the Arewa youths to the Igbos living in the north.
He maintained that traditional rulers in the state decided to make the call urging Igbos to come home and invest, their investments are better secured in their homeland than elsewhere.
“It is the culture and the tradition of the Igbos to always go home at least three, four times
in a year. In order to do this, you must have a comfortable home. It must not be a mansion and we the traditional rulers have been making this call even be- fore this threat. They should start investing at home because the only place you can run to is your own home town,” he said.He argued that the Arewa youths quit notice should serve as a wake-up call to the rest of Nigeria to organise a round-table conference rather than the national conference held in 2014.The traditional rulers of Nri, Omasi and Umuawulu communities, Eze Obidiegwu Onyesoh, Igwe Benjamin Okeji and Igwe Joel Egwuonwu, advised sons and daughters of South- east to repatriate their economic ventures to the zone as well as join hands with their state governments to transform the region. They also stressed the need for federal government to organise a national conference to define the fate of the nation and its ethnic nationalities.
Source: https://orientdailynews.com/arewa-quit-notice-traditional-rulers-want-igbos-to-invest-in-southeast/ . Igbos are their own problem. They should come back home and develop their region. If I hear marginalization from their mouth again, their own amadioha go strike them. |

Health › Re: Olakunle Akinboboye Becomes First Black Chair Of US Cardiovascular Disease Board by Okies27(m): 7:22am On Jul 29, 2017 |

The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) has appointed a Nigerian doctor, Olakunle Akinboboye, as the chair of the cardiovascular disease board.
It is the first time that the 81-year-old body would appoint a black chair to head the cardiovascular disease board.
Akinboboye will be responsible for certifying all deserving cardiologists in the United States.
Heading the 12 members of the board from all over the country, Akinboboye will carry out periodic knowledge assessments of all practising cardiologists in the US.
Commenting on his appointment, Akinboboye said he is “proud to have the opportunity to chair this very important Board.
“Unfortunately I am taking over the mantle of leadership at a point in time in which many cardiologists are openly revolting because of what they perceive as high handedness of the board over the years.”
Akinboboye said his goal as the board chair is “to work with other board members to come up with assessments for practicing cardiologists that are fair, and not unduly burdensome”.
Richard Baron, president and CEO of ABIM, via a press release, welcomed the new chair on behalf of the board.
He said, “we are honored to have Dr. Berns, Dr. Akinboboye and Dr. Udden—three highly regarded physicians with significant clinical experience to serve the community in their disciplines and across specialties to offer more choice, relevance and convenience as they help to set the standards for excellent patient care”.
Here are a few things to note about the doctor.
EDUCATION
Akinboboye received his medical degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and later finished his internal medicine residency and part of his cardiology fellowship at the Nassau County Medical Center, State University of Stony Brook.
He has masters degrees in public health from Columbia University and business administration from Columbia Business School.
He completed his fellowship in cardiology with two years of dedicated training in nuclear cardiology and advanced echocardiography, when he moved to Columbia University.
ACHIEVEMENT
Certified in cardiovascular disease, hypertension and sleep medicine, this won’t be his first board appointment. Akinboboye serves as chair of the clinical trials committee of the organisation and also on the international board of governors of the American college of cardiology as the liaison for Africa.
He is an associate professor of clinical medicine at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York, the medical director of Queens Heart Institute/Laurelton Heart specialist in Rosedale, Queens, New York and a past-president of the National Association of Black Cardiologists’ (ABC).
The doctor won an award for “exemplary professional services and outstanding contributions to cardiovascular medicine” while serving as president of the Ibadan College of Medicine alumni association, North America, between 2004-2005.

Now what I need is advice from Nairalanders on how I can get a girlfriend that can love me. Because very soon I will be going to national youth service. am depressed because of my situation I need help. . As long as you aren't gay, no problem. Just listen to some nice love songs by any of these... Boys2Men, Donnell Jones, Jagged Edge...get some good lines n talk to her when you find her and she give you all of her love. |

Nerdg: She told me of being pregnant and later had a stillbirth at the 7months.
The background. I met her when we were teens and have always loved her. She refused me sex and along the line, her neighbor gave me (who is her relation). She learnt about this and we had our first break up. We both got admission into different universities and couldn't see again. We later met again and settled with a condition that there would be no sex. This didn't go down well with me and I called it off. This repeated and there was even a time I walked her out of my house because of this issue and didn't give her tfare. My house is like 1hr drive from where she lives. The issue: I love this girl to the extent that anytime I thought of getting married, she will come to mind. Now I have a good job and she's done with school. I proposed to her and she accepted it. Is about 3 months now, she came on my birthday 3 months ago. That was all. She doesn't come always because she stays with her elder brother and can't leave house just like that.
Note, we haven't had sex till now.
About 2 weeks ago, I told her about how I got a girl pregnant and we had to abort it and that since then I haven't been myself. That it pains me to this day. We talked about it and she was sorry over it.
Yesterday, we had a very deep discussion and she revealed to me that she had a relationship at school. They were together for 4yrs. I then asked her if she had ever missed her period. She said yes. But not to this school boyfriend but another man. She wanted to keep the pregnancy but her parents refused because the guy is not a good person. The guy wanted the pregnancy but her family didn't want the guy to marry her. She finally had a stillbirth at the 7th month.
I was stunned. I know she's not a virgin, she told me but I was confused. Sex had always been our problem and I never expected that she had experienced something like this. Now she asked me that she hope she won't regret telling me this. I told her no that she won't regret but I'm stunned.
Please should I still go on with this marriage? . If a girl refuses to have sex with me and she's not a virgin, brotherly, problem go dey o. If she doesn't do it with someone else, then, I will be cool but if she comes with this kind of your story, truth, my mind go comot. |
