As for the OP, the urhobo man will understand the isoko dialect if he can pay rapt attention when isoko is being spoken. They share a lot of similar words.

As long as women are found virtually working in all professional endeavor, gender equality should not be an issue. Let's know when you are married what authority n submissiveness means.
Maybe we can look at our parents and deduce what authority n submissiveness is all about. Look at broken homes n happy homes to make your conclusion.

Submission is for slaves. women are not slaves. rather than preaching submissiveNess, preach Mutual Respect, love, empathy. these things build homes and not Hierarchical Nonsense.
. Lemme make it simple, authority places a man in a position to tell a woman to jump and submissiveness makes her ask the man how high do you want me to jump? Because she trusts him to catch her when she jumps.

. This is where the problem is. Authority is in a man's DNA. It doesn't mean enslaving others. You have to learn what submissiveness means. It isn't slavery either. My points aren't drawn from any religion but life in itself. Every male creature exercises this authority, from simple to complex animals. Look at the life of the lion, eagle etc. It's nature.

Yea, baby mama and baby daddy everywhere and that's because they failed in their respective duties as a man and a woman. Let each one play her/his God given role. A guy corrects a girl, she says he's a control freak.
A man is created to exercise authority but it becomes a problem when the woman sees the authority as something she can wield too. There are certain things/authority a woman can't wield.
A woman can't be a man.

I guess they dont but I guess the op is trying to argue against feminism ( which is the idea that females should challenge stereotypes and break into men's world)
I guess the op is trying to state that it can't be possible since man and woman are different in many ways
But you get the picture
. The word "gender equality" should not have been coined in the first place. There are lots of women in the same field /profession as men: doctors, engineers, teachers, lawyers and what have you. Me think women should just channel their energy to the betterment of the society, husbands etc. Like someone rightly pointed one, a woman should be submissive and let the man do the loving. There's no point trying to be a man. All this feminism n gender equality bullshit should stop.
Take for instance, if a woman becomes the breadwinner of her home for a long time, there's bound to be quarrel with the husband cos she's a woman but a man does for it in his entire life time with love without bathing an eyelid... Do you know why? Because that's what God created him to do/be..
Woman, just be a woman and let the men be men and the world(infact naija) will be a better place.

Following reports and viral photos which showed Nollywood Actress, Tonto Dikeh showing up at son's school Father's day celebration dressed like a man, her estranged husband, Olakunle Churchill has reacted to this with a cryptic message.

Dropping a message on the IG photo he shared which reads, 'Don't play the victim to circumstances you created', Olakunle Churchill wrote;

"It’s cruel and it’s unfair.

You are lying to yourself because you seek comfort. Well comfort is overrated. You are lying to yourself because you are scared of the unknown. But you must stop. To continue lying will eat away at your soul, causing you untold amounts of future pain.

A lie is something that you make yourself believe in order to make life a little easier. A lie is a paradigm under which you operate to avoid pain. A lie will destroy you, inside and out. A lie is something you want to believe because to consider the opposite would hurt your ego.

Sometimes the difference between a lie and the truth can be subtle. Sometimes your brain will try to “logically” trick you into believing a lie. I cannot give you a definitive guide on how to differentiate between the two; I am not you and I do not understand your specific circumstances, motivations, and desires. I can, however, give you some tips to guide you to make decisions that will serve you well.

dainformant:
Minister of Information and culture, Lai Mohammed was a guest on Channels TV where he spoke some national issues including the continuous detention of former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. Below are some of the things he said in the interview.

“I think there is a lot of deliberate misunderstanding on these issues. Number one, if a judgment is given and that judgment is appealed, you cannot accuse the government of violating that order if the appeal has not been decided.

“Two, in the case of El-Zakzaky, how many Nigerians know that El-Zakzaky is not in prison custody, police custody nor DSS custody? El-Zakzaky is in a house with his family. This is the honest truth.

“He is in what is called protective custody. The court ruled that he be released after his house has been rebuilt but nobody wants to accept El-Zakzaky as a neighbour. So, we have been unable to build the house. So, where do we release him to?

“In the case of Dasuki, every government will always thread this very thin line between personal liberty and national security. And I think you must give the government the credit to determine what is national security. In the case of Sambo Dasuki, the issue is a grave one.

“If the person is in possession of $1.2 billion; there are records that he moved in one day $1.2 billion in two transactions – we know the banks he moved them to. And you refused to tell us what you have done with that money, I don’t think it would be prudent to jeopardise the national security of a whole nation because of the individual freedom of one person. Because with $1.2 billion, you can destabilise a whole country.

“You see, all those who have been disturbing us about rule of law or the other, I just wish they would have the opportunity to be in government for a short time and they will see how difficult it is to balance personal freedom with national security.”

PoliticsRe: Lagos Declares June 12 As Public Holiday by Okies27(m): 10:49pm On Jun 11, 2017
metroparrot:
The Lagos State Government on Sunday declared Monday public holiday to mark June 12 celebration in the State, saying that the State remains committed to the ideals of the annulled 1993 Presidential election.

In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tunji Bello on behalf of the State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, the government said the holiday was in honour of the ideals which June 12, 1993 Presidential election represents being a day that the country experienced an election that was adjudged as the freest and fairest in Nigeria’s history.

The Governor said 24 years after, the ideals of June 12 commemoration were worth celebrating, describing the day as one of the most defining moments of the country’s political history which has positively shaped its democratic rule.

Governor Ambode said the time has come for Nigerians to go beyond the commemoration and entrench a viable democracy as a way to immortalise the late presumed winner of June 12, 1993 Presidential election, Chief M.K.O Abiola through the practice of true federalism and conduct of credible and fair elections.

He said: "June 12, 1993 is a day we must not forget in the annals of our democratic history. Our present democratic experience may still be far from the ideal but we must all make concerted efforts to entrench fiscal federalism which is the only way to achieve true nationhood.”

Continuing, Governor Ambode said part of the enduring lessons of June 12 election is that it imbued the patriotic and nationalistic zeal in all Nigerians to speak with one voice to make a political choice devoid of ethnic, racial or social sentiments.

“On June 12, 1993, majority of Nigerians across all divides demonstrated through the ballot box that irrespective of class or ethnic sympathies, the Nigerian people are united and would always join hands to promote our unifying values,” he said.

Governor Ambode said though the peoples’ hope was dashed with the annulment of the elections by the military junta, the lessons of the elections cannot be wished away despite subterranean efforts by many to do, describing June 12 as the real Democracy Day in Nigeria.

“We owe it a duty to genuinely immortalize the fallen heroes of the June 12 struggle nationally and deepen our democratic values to ensure that never again will such anti-people action be allowed to take place”.

He also assured that his administration remains committed to the ideals of June 12 by carrying out people-oriented programmes across the State and making life more comfortable for the people.

Meanwhile, the State Government, through the office of Civic Engagement, has perfected arrangement for the annual public symposium which will hold at the De Roof, LTV 8 in Ikeja, to celebrate June 12.

1. Betrayal- Many of the youth felt betrayed by the so called men of God, whose life style is opposite of what they preach. I want to encourage youth to read Matthew 23.
2. Lack of fulfilment, Church no longer interest many because they cant find fulfilment
3. Laziness
- Many are too lazy to wake up early
4. Wrong company
- Many of the youth peers have put pressure on them
5. Self will
-Many wants to try out new thing and do their things.
6. Parents over bearing
- Parents forcing their on lives on the youth

NB Please add your
. Only a non believer will come up with this kind of write if not, a believer will write what edifies the body of Christ.
There are more youths going to church nowadays. My church is a testament.
Don't argue my points but rather you should draw near to God.
Total fulfilment comes from God and the fulfilment you seek from the world(flesh) is temporary. You should not mistaken the fulfilment of God with that of the world.
OP, I would rather you educate the youths why they should always go to church especially on Sundays and draw closer to God. They shouldn't seek fulfilment from their pastors, and show them ways they can overcome laziness and other vices so as to be in church.
I speak for Christian brothers but if you belong to other religion, read and don't give negative responses. I believe whatever your belief is, you must be modest in speech.
OP, your points, nonetheless, aren't put of place but as you know, world people will start saying all sorts of things.

AdoraAmadi:
Emir of Kano and former CBN Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, who once said that those who think he's a problem, should wait for his children, has disclosed why he supported his daughter, Shaheeda who represented him at the BBOG movement’s third anniversary lecture for missing Chibok girls in Abuja last Friday, when he slapped a boy.

By her own account at the Transcorp-Hilton Hotel venue of the event, Shaheeda said that she just became the first female in northern Nigeria to represent an Emir at a formal event.

While she appeared to have some inkling about the criticism that was bound to trail the development, and her not so conventional or inadequate use of the veil, her father’s video message that introduced her as a rather strange child took some members of the audience by surprise.

“Let me tell you something about the young lady who is going to read my speech. When she was in Form 3, I remember an incident that is probably relevant for today. Her mother came to me and said: ‘You need to talk to your daughter’ and I asked her: ‘Why?’ “She said: ‘Your daughter slapped a boy in school’.

It is a bit strange so, I called Shaheeda and said: ‘Shaheeda, I heard that you slapped a boy in school. Why did you do it?’ “Then she said: ‘Dad, that boy has no respect for women’.

So, I asked her exactly what she meant by that. It turned out that one day, during prep in the afternoon, in full class, the boy had come to her, and put his finger to her forehead and pushed it backwards, and he was in the habit of doing it to all the girls in the class.
She had said nothing apparently and waited until the next day. She walked into the prep class late, the whole class was full, and she walked up to him, slapped him, and said: ‘That was for yesterday’.

So, long before we started talking about marriage and talking about whether when your husband slaps you, you should slap him back, Shaheeda had decided for herself that she would not take abuse, she would not take insult and she would not be disrespected by any man,” the Emir stated in the video message shortly before his daughter, Shaheeda read a prepared text.

. Emir, the boy was just immature cos he was a teen then n so was your daughter then. So, I believe both will take different actions now cos they are adults now.

the bible taught you to resort to insults when your believe is questioned, am 100% sure you will still defend islam if you were born into it,.Brainwashed zombie
. It's clear you don't know the difference between insult and stating a fact. U were not born into any belief n lack proper training so you lack moral standard cos you don't know that people's religion, belief and what have you must be respected. You seem to have no direction in life or probably lost. But not to worry, you aren't beyond redemption.

lmao, you are defending christianity because u were born and brainwashed into it, cool
. This is the dumbest thing I've heard in my life. What were you born into? Did you come into being life on your own? You are a disgrace to your parent. They must be ashamed of what you have become but Christ is never ashamed of people like you. There are worse who have been saved. You will definitely get saved.

The truth is that those so-called wise and prudent theologians know absolutely nothing about the so-called resurrection simply because it never happened. Easter, or the celebration of the resurrection, is merely a tradition, a tradition that you have been taught from childhood, and coming into maturity you have accepted it because that is what you were taught. That is what you read bout. That is what your parents made you observed every Easter Sunday. Thus, you continued to go along with it and before you knew it, you had carelessly assumed what you now believe without question or proof. Easter is the feast of feasts celebrated in honor of the risen Christ. You have even reached the point where you will defend vigorously and emotionally your belief, a belief that can lead you straight to hell.

It has become human nature to flow with the stream, and to go along with the crowd, to believe and perform like those around you. And, even when you stumble on the truth, you will not believe because like the majority of the people, you stubbornly refuse to believe what you are unwilling to believe. There is an old saying that says:

He who is convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.
. You are not a Christian and you want to judge our belief. It is either you choose to be saved or not. You have no moral right to say that. If I preach to you and you refuse the message of salvation I've no right to force you. I wonder how non Christians come here to challenge our way of life and belief.
