okotorigba:The reporter, Adesuwa intentionally didn't mention the allegation she made that they should be advised to stop killing people with their product and was presenting her as a mother to attract undue sympathy. why not allow the court to do its work. i suspect they are all working together and i stand to be corrected.

It is now obvious to discerning people that the said Chioma Egodi Jnr. is being sponsored, if not, why would Arise News documentary be skewed to present her as being victimised. However, the case is in court and she and her sponsors should stop this media blackmail and go and prove how many people the product has killed in the court of law. As for her sponsors and her cheerleaders, whatever you wish for Erisco Foods will come back to you a million fold.

Erisco fulfills pledge, gifts best UTME candidate N2.5m By Naomi Chima The Chief Executive Officer of Erisco Foods Limited, Chief Dr. Eric Umeofia, MFR, has fulfilled his promise to reward the best candidate in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations, Kamsiyochukwu Umeh. Umeh was presented with a cheque of N2.5 million at the company’s premises at Ikeja, Lagos, on Thursday. The 16-year-old student of Deeper Life High School, Mowe, Ogun State, emerged the best UTME candidate with a score of 360. She scored 99 in Chemistry, 98 in Mathematics, 97 Physics and 66 in English. Also rewarded by the businessman were the school’s administrator, Emmanuel Eze (N200,000); the four subject teachers, Onibokun Patricia (English), Joseph Christopher (Maths), Agboola Olawale (Chemistry), Anicho Francisca (Physics) N100,000 each; and two other top students in the exam, Imoukhuede Andrew and Alagwu Maduabuchukwu, N100,000 each. Umeofia said he was delighted with the performance of the students and believed they should be encouraged. He also commended the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, for establishing the school, saying his impact was being felt. He said, “These type of children make me happy. In this country of today, these are the type of children that will take over from us and that is why we are identifying with humanity. By the grace of God, if they keep me informed of their development, we will continue to support. “I pray to God that they keep to this and their success does not get into their heads. You must not deviate from the good teachings of your parents, school and elders. Don’t allow the negative influence of today affect you. If you do, that means you want to become a nobody. I have seen brilliant students, even first class graduates, but because their successes got to their heads, they missed track, and they are in the village today with their first class brain. “We need this country to change and do well. All these foreigners coming here don’t have two heads. If people like you come up and do the right thing, to change this country is easy. I pray more of you will come up in different parts of Nigeria.” The school administrator appreciated Umeofia for the gesture, saying Deeper Life High School had a track record of excellence. Eze promised that school would continue to churn out exemplary students. The best UTME candidate, Umeh, expressed delight at the honour and pledged to continue to do her best. Also present at the occasion were the parents of the students and some staff members of the school. https://punchng.com/erisco-fulfills-pledge-gifts-best-utme-candidate-n2-5m

It was a weekend of celebration and recognition as Erisco Foods Limited, the leading tomato paste manufacturer in Nigeria, held its end of year party and long service awards as a way of recognising and rewarding employee loyalty to the company, for a period of ten years and above. The event, which held at the Industrial headquarters of Erisco Foods Limited in Alausa, Ikeja also served as a stock taking event, taking into cognizance the progress and challenges faced by the organisation as well as providing insight into Erisco Foods Limited global plans for the coming year 2023. The President/Chief Executive Officer, Chief Dr. Eric Umeofia in his speech appreciated the collective efforts of all members of staff for their contributions towards the successes recorded by the company in the year 2022, that culminated in the conferment of National Productivity Order of Merit award by President Muhammadu Buhari. He further said the award was in recognition of the various milestone successes recorded by the company, which also made the Nigerian Defence Academy, the foremost military institution in Nigeria to confer an Honorary Doctor of Management Science Degree on Chief Dr. Eric Umeofia. “All these successes have been recorded because of the incredible support given to us by all members of staff across all levels. As it’s our tradition, we celebrate and recognize the incredible role they continue to play” he said. The President/CEO further reiterated that the successes also came with daunting challenges which includes the lack of support and patronage from most MDA’s and some Nigerians alike, who prefer foreign products, irrespective of its quality. Unfortunately, these challenges have hindered Erisco Foods production capacity, as they are yet to utilize up to 15% of the plant’s installed capacity per annum, since inception till date, due to the frustrations by our MDA’s, particularly our financial institution, etc. He regrettably stated that the failure of the MDA’s to fully implement the ban on tomato paste in retail packs by President Buhari’s administration has led to the unprecedented dumping of substandard tomato paste in various markets across the country, and warned Nigerians to be wary of imported substandard tomato paste. Chief Dr. Umeofia commended the acting DG of NAFDAC for her determination in bursting the warehouses of some of these unregistered and substandard tomato paste in major markets in Lagos, and equally encouraged them to spread the operation in all markets across the country. He also advised Nigerians to patronize made in Nigeria products as it’s the only way to our economic survival. The highlight of the event was the award and presentation of cheques ranging from N2.5M to N1M to deserving staff members who have been loyal to the company from 10 years 16 years. In addition to the cash gifts, management also awarded a scholarship of N500,000.00 as tuition fees per year to one child for each of the beneficiaries, until the completion of their studies in any higher institution in Nigeria. Other categories of prizes include most outstanding staff in all departments, Employee of the year and most punctual staff in production and in Administration. The atmosphere got charged and ecstatic as the President/CEO presented keys of three brand new cars to three outstanding and loyal staff of the company as a reward for their consistency and loyalty.

Third batch of Millionaires emerge from Erisco’s N100,000,000.00 empowerment programme In continuation of Chief Eric Umeofia’s (Ikukuoma Amichi) resolve to lift as many families as possible out of poverty in Ebenator Okpala village, he has doled out N100,000,000.00 (making a total of N300,000,000.00 in all) in the third batch of his empowerment programme for Ebenator Okpala village and selected widows from Amichi. The event which was held over the weekend at Erisco Industrial Complex, Alausa, Ikeja saw more millionaires emerge from Ebenator Okpala Village, in Amichi, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State. Recall that the First and second batch of millionaires have emerged at different occasions where each of the selected men and women went home with a million Naira and five hundred thousand Naira respectively. Chief Umeofia’s benevolence, fairness and compassion for the downtrodden is his most defining quality and not limited to Ebenator okpala as he equally credited selected widows from the four quarters of Amichi with a hundred thousand Naira each. Chief Umeofia emphasized that the motive behind the benevolence was basically to lift as many people from Ebenator Okpala village out of poverty in view of the prevailing economic challenges in line with his original vision of creating wealth through empowerment and poverty alleviation, and not just accumulating wealth like some other rich Nigerians. As a cerebral philanthropist, Ikukuoma Amichi has made a big difference and scored many first in Amichi town and beyond embarking on massive philanthropic gestures including being the first to build houses for the homeless, first to institute scholarship for indigent students and many have graduated from the University through his benevolence, first to sink boreholes for the community, first to build community hall and he has built churches and mosques and constructed roads as well as empowered many youths through employment to become meaningful members of the society etc. The highlight of the event was the presentation of cheques to the beneficiaries as Chief Umeofia enjoys giving back some of his wealth to the poor, widows, abandoned and the aged in his Amichi town and beyond and with this latest development, he has set an important example for other wealthy men in the country to emulate. Beyond Chief Umeofia’s benevolence to his community and in line with his philanthropic gestures, his company, Erisco Foods Limited has equally made donations of materials and food items including tomato paste, 3in1 Garri mix and Ready to Eat meals valued over N200,000,000.00 to NGO’s, communities across Nigeria, the Nigerian Military and internally displaced persons in various camps across the country. The company equally made donations to the governments of Lagos and Anambra states as part of efforts to alleviate the suffering of the people of both states during the COVID-19 lockdown. Chief Umeofia has in the recent past demonstrated his support to the Nigerian Police with the rebuilding and reequipping of the Divisional Police Headquarters in his hometown Amichi in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State that was destroyed during the unfortunate ENDSARS protests and equally bought for the police division two operational vehicles that was burnt down during the protests. Ikukuoma Amichi is of the belief that well-meaning Nigerians should extend this same gesture in their various communities as a way of lifting many people out of poverty and reviving the Nigerian economy. He restated that his philanthropic gesture should not be seen as a challenge to anybody, or to show that he is super rich but it is done for other wealthy Nigerians to emulate and replicate same in their communities or towns in line with their capacity. Ikukuoma also believes that it is not the amount of money you have that will take you to heaven but your humanitarian gestures as no dead man has returned to check how his wealth is being managed by his children, hence his continued desire to give back to the community. The Tomato King equally use this opportunity to urge everyone to practically promote and patronize made in Nigeria products as it is the only solution to revitalize our economy in line with his campaign of ‘Buy Your Own Products, Buy ‘Made in Nigeria’ as it is for the best interest of our country, Nigeria. The Chairlady of Ebenator Okpala Development Union, women wing, Lagos Branch, Mrs. Umenweke Chiamaka state that it has been proven without any iota of doubt that the best secret of living an excellent life is by giving in terms of contributing to the wellbeing of others in our community and the country at large. This best describes the life of the Tomato King as he has consistently used his resources to improve the life of people around him irrespective of ethnic or religious connotation. she urged the selected beneficiaries to make good use of the money in order for them to be a blessing to others. The beneficiaries appreciated and eulogized Chief Umeofia for his kind gesture and prayed that God to God to replenish his stock a billion fold.

An industrialist, Chief Eric Umeofia, has called on wealthy Nigerians to complement government’s efforts to alleviate the post COVID-19 economic hardship in the country. Umeofia made the call in a statement in Lagos on Monday, where he announced a N100 million donation to 1000 indigent natives of his Amichi Community in Anambra. He stated that the donation was his contribution toward poverty reduction and alleviation of economic hardship in the area. Umeofia, who is the Chief Executive Officer, Erisco Bonpet Group, stated that the gesture was the first phase of his endowment programme to empower the people of his community. He described the initiative as part of the activities to mark the 40th anniversary of the group and 10 years of Erisco Foods Ltd. “The motive behind the benevolence is basically to lift many people from my community out of poverty due to the post COVID-19 challenges. “It is also in line with my original vision of creating jobs, alleviating poverty through youths and women empowerment,” Umeofia stated. He also stated that the initiative was to complement the Federal Government’s efforts geared toward economic revitalisation, job creation and poverty reduction. He said that 51 people, including widows, received N1 million each, while other beneficiaries got N100,000 and N50,000 each to support their businesses. “I urge well-meaning Nigerians to extend similar gestures to their various communities in order to lift many people out of poverty and revive the nation’s economy,” he stated. The philanthropist further stated that Erisco Foods donated food items, worth over N100 million, to the Nigerian military and internally displaced persons in different camps across the country. He said that the company also donated COVID-19 palliatives to Lagos and Anambra governments. He promised that similar gestures would be extended to other states of the federation, as part of the activities to mark the company’s anniversary. “It is our own support to complement federal and state governments’ initiatives to empower Nigerians,” Umeofia said. She is nor contesting for a regional position.
No need for mocking Madam Oby. She fought a good fight in the midst of warriors. Our RESPECT remain strong for her, as long as she care for a good Nigeria. She made a very good decision. She has seen the handwriting on the wall. Its a shame that most people from her region NEVER supported her from day one, but rather support a thief and criminal. Only the blind people or people that enjoy lying to themselves that up till now do not know who the next president of Nigeria for the next 4 years will be.... Even the wise people know who the next Presidents of Nigeria for the next 12 years are, all by the special grace of God. Thumbs up Madam Oby! Cheers ma'm!
|

No wonder there is mass failure in the east. Their academic performance is below average and yet they try to compete with Yoruba's who are more sound intellectually and more sophisticated. Yoruba's remain the pillar of education in Nigeria. Thanks to Baba Awolowo
