Why are u abusing him? Je may not be wrong. Borrowing not a bad thing for as much as they use it in doing something good. That amount being borrowed by the fg is a way to mop up cash in circulation and that is what is partly responsible for the appreciation of the naira.

Lol.

Stop playing.

Circumstantial that the person who found your 'misplaced' ID also somehow found your work schedule and knew when and where exactly to work a shift you were due to work, without worrying that you would jam him there and call him out? Also after working, how did the person plan to collect the money for the shift? Or did the person just want to experience working in the NHS for free since the money would definitely be paid to the account details held for the female nurse?

I strongly suspect when Madam Peace's account is checked there'll be a pattern of previous shift payments having been 'misplaced' into Mr Okoye's account after payday, corresponding to what she was paid for shifts she ought to have worked.

This was arranged between the parties and they just got caught because someone noticed the photo was different.

Gbam! Madam peace can only claim she never knew and only became aware her Id was being used unil now. But it will take someone with a strong heart to throw someone under the bus.

Biko read what you wrote again!

She gave her shift to someone and the someone used an ID with her name but with a man's picture. Really? cheesy

This thing is common especially among students. It is also possible he is using someone's paper to work.

Unless his name is really Peace, then he used someone else's papers/ID etc to work which is illegal.

Peace doesn't have the right to give her shift out to someone without prior agreement with her employers. And it's even worse fraud if she went to work another shift somewhere else.

Correct.

Lol, the audacity to try this in the NHS.
It's impossible to get away with using someone else's papers in any responsible organisation. It's also a criminal offence if caught.

He may not have used someone's paper. The owner of the name may know. It is possible peace gave her shift out to someone and went to another shift else where.

Wahala, the father is acting like a child since his son died. I don't really know if the father really love his son and mourn him? How can a man that just lost his son acting this childish? I'm not supporting the girl if she cheated and the boy doesn't belong to Mohbad but the activity of the father must be check and investigated if him is the real father of Mohbad. The wife self is another matter, if you're so sure the baby belong to your husband, why not go ahead to do DNA and allow the innocent guy to rest in peace from all the drama? It's seems that guy Mohbad was alone and he was never mourn by those that ought to love him and mourn him. May his soul rest in peace

He is not acting like a kid. When you are evading court correspondence they will paste it on your gate after making several attempts.

Guys. Please I need advise

I went to UK on a 3 weeks vacation
At the port of entry, I got stamped in

I returned to Nigeria on Friday and I’m just remembering now that I was not stamped out.

So now my passport has entry stamp but no exit stamp

I’m in Nigeria already and I’m devastated. Please what is the consequence of this mistake ? Will UK Immigration still think I’m in the UK when I’ve already left

Will it result to them thinking that I have overstayed my visa ? Please help 🥺🙏🏾

They dont stamp people out again.

I think it's an Asian thing.
I believe why the restricted Nigerians there is fear of their safety, because from the report it started January this year and it was this January that dollars started skyrocketing and food stuffs increased astronomically. So they feared that Nigerians might want to loot their shops or do something sinister to them..

If they dont feel safe then they should close the shop insyead of being discriminatory. Na like this e de start

Have you spoken to your HR department....... To do spy work, no easy .......🤣😜
I dont know the HR never met them for a day. They never called directly. Even during documentation i dont think any of them attended to me. If the hr is in that building i dont know the floor. If they call hr those ones will say they need staff number. I dont want them to come and meet to remind me of data policy issues. it is not spie work but as with most govt dept deal with the public. I have started looking for another house.
The landlord wrote something that looks like i am lying.

I will call them up tomorrow to see if they are good with the info they have. Assuming i have a payslip, i would have just blurred some parts and send it to them.

Thanks. I have started looking for another house. The checks are just too much for that type of house. They ran a credit check, They sent reference to landlord. Never defaulted not even by a day. That should be enough comfort. The deposit is 2/3 of rent. Now the landlord is stating issues like i lied i work in the civil service. That's too much. Someone trying to call me a thief even after I made a proposal for them to view the contract when i come to their office.

I will call them up if they are okay with what was provided and if not, they should refund me my holding deposit.

Elders please I need advise on what to do. I recently resumed a role in the civil service which required me to change location. The house I got said they needed reference but they did not go into detail to state the type of reference.

I received a call from the agent asking for employer's reference this after they obtained reference from my present landlord.. I explained to them that the dept where I work do not encourage their staff to put up exact dept where they work on even linkedin.

They now asked me for payslip to show as evidence that I work in the civil service but since it is my first month, I told them the situation. They now asked for work contract. While battling if that could be a breach of data policy of this particular dept, I received a mail this morning on the use of ID card . It was a general mail sent out that staff should not use ID card outside the building, staff are not allowed to make presentation with ID card or take a picture while with the ID card.

I got a call from Agent doing reference check and discussed the situation and they settled for a screenshot of my start date and my salary. Unfortunately, salary was not stated on the offer letter instead the offer referred me back to the advert. I still submitted to them that part of the letter like that. This agent now came back to ask for payslip again. I just replied their email to look at their outbound calls to me and see notes documented. Then they later replied thank you for the email and information supplied.

I thought the reason for asking for contract is to be sure I am working and can pay future rent. Please how do I go about this? For the record the rent is less than 550pcm bills inclusive which can be paid by anyone working fulltime @Lexusgs430 and elders abeg wetin I go tell these people in case they come back.

Cos my present apartment, na landlord tell me where my neighbour de work, location and how he will soon start working from home.
Business / Re: CBN Insists Banks Can’t Pay Dividends From FX Revaluation Gains by okposm: 12:05am On Mar 16
Validated:
Is CBN confused?

CBN should also tell us if such revaluation can be reported as profits (extraordinary gains).

Would CBN be prevailing on FIRS to exempt those profits from Companies Income Tax?

Would CBN have asked the banks to create a revaluation loss account if the reverse was the case or would they have been asked to write-off such losses?

not all revaluation gains are taxed. only the realised ones are taxed. the unrealised ones will be used in computing deferred tax. Again since fx is not their main source of income, they have every write to stop them from paying dividends from income not sustainable and can be catatrosphic in future

Hmm, I'm not sure if they have a specific template for scoring candidates. Sometimes, they are not just interested in someone as a candidate.

I also did an interview recently, touched on everything in the job's essential criteria, and was told that I have all the experience needed for the job but was not successful at the interview.

They gave me data to analyze without a specific question to answer. I summarized the whole dataset with stats and charts, which was well commended. During feedback, he mentioned that I should have included this and that in the analysis. I told him that you and I both know that this is not what data analysis is all about. You can’t just give someone data without knowing what question we want to answer with the data and be expecting an exact answer. He was like, well, that’s true, but this is how the interview is, implying that I'm practically correct.

Just keep trying because the job market is a little bit saturated now.

Over 100 people jostling for one single position.
Have heard of this in many cases.

250jobs was advertised by HMRC, over 10000 people applied for the job.

I guess that your interview is DWP, right?

This is a bit discouraging cos how does 11+4 equals 18 according to my total score in the civil service job site when they are not INEC. This is not logical. it means after grading, score was tampered with and they forgot to chnage the total or only an individual was involved in grading. cos it amazed how it passed all quality checks. I interviewed with HMRC.

The other one I did with ofgem, the way the lady acted was like I was profiled. I used my passport as ID and she asked me to take it a bit away from the screen so she could see and screamed "that is a Nigerian passport" and asked me what type of visa I was holding and when it expires. That they do give sponsorship but that it is not guaranteed. I failed that one no feedback was given and was told if i wanted feedback i should send a mail.

good afternoon everyone. Please I need civil servants to explain how they mark interview. I recently attended an interview on teams. After the interview, I felt I did well. However, after the mail I decided to look at the feedback. They said they expected me to have mentioned the name of tool I used for analysis, and what I was told to analyse which I did mention during the interview. However, what I found confusing was that I was scored 11 on strength and 4 on experience. However, my total score was left at 18.

I was being blinded by love to the extent that my boyfriend and I took a blood covenant, that was about some years ago..

The truth is that I was so madly in love with him, and when he brought out the ideal, I thought that was the only way he will be mine forever. So I agreed with him, and we made the convenant.. We use needle to cut out blood from our thumb, and we made a vow never to live each other or make love with another person..

i've been discussing with him to end this convenant, but he always refuses. We took the convenant when i was 17yrs, and Its been 8years now, and i've loved only him. Even though i don't love him again, i'm afraid to have or make love with another person.
he say we can't end it and that we must mary each other.

I already found someone else i love, i'm planning to report him to the police or his parents if he dosn't give me a chance to go away..

*i don't kno if it will actually hurt me if i love another person.

i really want to go away from him

The thing is not something bothe can just walk away like that. U have to meet a pastor into deliverance. The breaking of this type of yoke taken with blood is a strong one.

Let me just chip this in. From my observation here in the UK, these indians are genius. If according to what i know about genius. In our Java Class, a guy who resumed in September completed the coursework in less than 3 hours. What will all have been doing group meeting for, this is a guy who came barely October ending nearly a week to end of course. He has never coded in java. All the oyinbo gather the guy like he was einstein. I also notice same in cyber forensic class, in our lab we have classwork for two hours, before twenty minutes the indians will submit and leave the class. When we are still studying the classwork description, trying part one.

Those guys are good and best thing about them is their cooperation is out of this world. Northerns dey learn work for where this guys dey. An Indian guy who resumed late see are dey gather the guy give him all the materials, speak their language adding him to course group. Before a week the guy was already settled. Mine case was different the only Nigeria guy there dey speak phoney, behaving like something I don't know, because he has been in the UK for quite a long.

grin so sorry.

From what our seniors here have said, and what I heard on blogs, I can say the indians are just like the people from the northern part of Nigeria. They always look for ways to accommodate their own. That is the reason people from the North will keep going higher in any area you find them in Nigeria and not because of intelligence.

The southerners will always fight themselves with pull him down syndrome and we unknowingly take this out . I read a story in a group where a lady decided not stay with the elder sister who lives with two kids and her husband in a four bedroom duplex The plan by the elder sister was that the lady will live it her while the lady pays her fees herself. But because of what the lady perceived during her visit she decided not to stay

According to her, when the sister comes to Nigeria they sleep on the same bed. But when she visited uk, the sister gave her mattress to sleep on the floor in the same room. Even though the bed could accommodate two people comfortably.

I think we should watch it and not complain about uk opening the flood gate of indians. If it were to be a Nigerian, that had the power to influence things, will he or she do that for his or her countrymen? Let's just continue to sip tea and continue kicking my brothers out.

Banks no longer give Pounds for PTA since about July this year. You can only get pounds from the Black Market or you travel with your dollars and change it with a BDC when you arrive the UK.

Have u done it before? Don't Try it o. Change the dollars to naira and then convert to pounds. It is better that way. The commission they collect and the the cross rate is high.

Good morning and merry Christmas everyone.

Please I'm in dilemma and really need some good advice.
This guy and I have been on this relationship thing for 5 months now with occasional misunderstandings here and there. The first one was because he visited me and refused to go after the time he said he would leave, when he finally left I got back home from work only for the security to call me that I have a visitor at the main gate and behold it was him.
I allowed him stay the night because he's a nice guy, really good in bed and also helps in the house to do stuff like wash the dishes and cooking.

Fast forward to December 15th we agreed he comes over and we spend the Christmas at my place then go to his place from 27th so we can enjoy the new year there. As we agreed, he came to my place on 17th of December and has not made any moves to leave or for us to go to his place. I am moved to create this thread because I got home from work yesterday and noticed more of his things have been arranged in the wardrobe with his shoes arranged by the front door..

Please how do I address this? I can't go on like this. He eats a lot. Snores also.
Is relationship not supposed to be the other way around why is he moving into my apartment like I'm going to marry him
We both stay in Abuja.

Mods please kindly move to Frontpage.

Tell him straight that guy has not purpose and he is typical of Ana Abuja guy looking for a lady to feed them.

Not sure if this can be in politics; however, I know this post will reach more audience. MOD feel free to move to appropriate section.

Accountants, Lawyers, knowledgeable persons on taxes in Nigeria.

If an employer decides to give Christmas gifts to employees, will this gift be taxable? If the gift is a bag of rice how will it be taxed? If the monetary equivalent, will it be taxed?

Those things are taxable if u really want to follow the law under PIT. They are called BIK benefit in kind and 5% is the total value is taxable. But u can just find one expense head and warehouse there. Then under CIT certain conditions have to be met for it to be tax deductible. Such gift must bear the company name on it. Which we know bag of rice will not meet that criteria. So just spread it across some expense heads and don't describe it as bag of rice cos if FIRS gets hold of the GL, it will be disallowed.

People hardly use it because it is not as fast as walk-in. You'd be given appointment and you'd have to go on the appointment date and it's usually days after your booking, it varies. But walk-in is fast, your appointment can be next month and you do walk-in tomorrow.

They could get a closer date by choosing that option.

I am trying to console my friend here.
He filled Yes in picture 1 question rather than No. This is the 1st time he's applying for a UK Visa.
I just showed him mine which is picture 2 and he's been mourning all day.

My question is, has anyone made this type of mistake and gotten a visa? Is it negligible having submitted a copy of his CAS too and English Language ability highlighted there?

1. Should he cancel the application and submit another?

2. Should he contact UKVI via paid mail or call, and inform them?

3. Should he relax?

@Justwise, @Aprokodaughter and anyone with this kinda experience should please give an insight on this.
Thank you.

It doesn't matter. My friend filled yes and I filled no we both got our visas.
