You obviously don't know what you are talking about. Second highest IGR after Lagos you say?? Where does that now leave the likes of Ogun, Rivers, Delta, Kano, and even Oyo? Anambra that is making less than 20billion per annum in igr and even refuses to disclose how much it makes sometimes sef. You people just talk a lot of crap without thinking.

Lmao. OP is so pained by that CBN/SANEF report that the SouthEast and NorthEast have the lowest Bank Access ( https://www.nairaland.com/4676750/report-banking-access-lowest-northeast ), that instead of trying to decipher and understand the true context of that report, he has gone ahead to go dig-up an outdated 10-year-old report on bank branches. . FYI, SANEF is CBN-funded, and stands for Shared Agent Network Expansion Facilities (SANEF), and its latest report wasn't limited to just conventional brick-and-mortar Bank transactions, but includes basic financial services such as P.O.S, Cash-in, Cash-out, funds transfer (online and offline), bill payments, airtime purchase, government disbursements as well as data on enrollment on BMS Infrastructure (BVN). Banks are going DIGITAL and opening lesser offline branches.Op, I know your Anambla ego is very big and easily brusied, but try and upgrade your comprehension skills that way you don't end up embarrassing yourself the way you keep doing on issues such as this. |

End of discussion You have always been a stvpid and slow chap so you always argue off point but end up further exposing your foolishness. The report you are pained about was released by CBN-funded SANEF (Shared Agent Network Expansion Facility). SANEF/CBN said that the SouthEast and NorthEast have lowest Bank Access (which isn't just limited to Bank transactions, but also includes basic financial services, such as P.O.S, Cash-in, Cash-out, funds transfer (online and offline), bill payments, airtime purchase, government disbursements as well as data on enrollment on BMS Infrastructure (BVN)., but because you are too stoopid to understand the context of the report, in your typical fashion, you rejected it and are bandying about outdated CBN cash-transactions data. . Guy, when will you ever receive sense? I have adviced you to enroll in Night-school to brush-up your intellectual capacity, but you refuse and instead prefer to continue acting a fool online. Since you have so foolishly rejected their report, take your fight (including your 2009 data) to CBN/SANEF, instead of bleating like a sheep that is about to be slaughtered because your foolishness is not impressing anyone. |

Obi1kenobi: Well, according to the last census, Anambra was more populated than Ogun. Only Lagos and Oyo from the SW were more populated than Anambra. Sure, the 2006 census was a sham (MASSOB agitations led to massive boycotts in the SE around the time), but even if Ogun is more populated (which is highly possible considering the massive influx of residents and businesses from Lagos), I doubt it is by that large a margin. Did you hear yourself? Lol. Look, you are free to retain your 'doubts' even in the face of facts, but that will only expose your bias and irrationality. I just showed you verifiable and credible data from the telecoms industry that is perhaps the closest thing to an accurate estimate of the current population spread in the country in the absense of an official and recent census. And until and unless you can back up your doubts with some concrete data, don't come on a forum like this and make bold statements that call your intelligence into question. |
Politics › Re: See How Nigerian States Rank In Terms Of Progress by OkutaNla: 6:02pm On Jul 30, 2018 |
Obi1kenobi: ..this can only make sense if Ogun is far more populated than Anambra which is false What is your basis for arriving at such a conclusion? I mean where is the data to support that statement of yours, because the datas below from telecoms companies actually strongly indicate that Ogun state is already FAR more populated than Anambra.

Politics › Disintegration, A Neglected Solution To Nation’s Challenges ― Senator Adeyeye by OkutaNla(op): 10:49am On Jul 27, 2018 |
By Wale Akinselure
SENATOR Olusola Adeyeye, representing Osun Central, has described as arrant superstition and delusion those notions that the unity of Nigeria is not negotiable, noting that the nation’s disintegration could be the much-neglected solution to the various challenges in the country that point to a failing nation.
According to Adeyeye, the country had remained under an undeclared civil war going by constant conflict, self-destruction among tribes, overbearing centralism, chaos, inefficiency, underdevelopment, its lack of a truly federal system and operation of an abnormal structure.
Adeyeye made these assertions as a guest speaker on the topic titled, “Averting the Approaching Gales” at a Public Lecture and Endowment Fund Launch in honour of Dr B. G. K. Ajayi and Ibadan Medical School at 70, held at Paul Hendrickse Lecture Theatre, University College Hospital, Ibadan, on Wednesday.
Adeyeye, who bemoaned that the country treated the prediction by the America Intelligence Agency that the nation will disintegrate as child’s play, said it was high time Nigerians, of all tribes, met to discuss the terms of their coexistence.
He gave instances of countries like India, Pakistan, Croatia, Russia, who were better off after disintegration, noting that the nation may attain its desired self-realisation and development if the constituents had a peaceful negotiation on whether they wanted to remain a part of the entity called Nigeria.
If the country was to work, Adeyeye, at the event chaired by Professor Oyinade Olurin, also stressed the need for the evolution of a truly federal system to bring down “overbearing” centralism which he said was the reason for the inefficiency of the federating units, and Nigeria, as a whole.
“Our republic creeks and moans from the gales that precariously dangle on the precipice of disintegration. For quite a few years, we have been under an undeclared civil war.
“The breakup of countries is nothing strange. It is arrant superstition to say the unity of Nigeria is non-negotiable. Examples abound in the world where unity became inimical to peace and progress and the citizen summoned the wisdom and courage to say enough is enough.
“Let no one deceive you. What we are seeing are the tell-tale signs of a failing nation and a failing nation ultimately lead to dismemberment. We can pretend it will not happen in the name of Jesus Christ or Allah. Problems are not solved because we ignore them.
“The American prediction of our disintegration has not come true but we will be suffering from delusion induced astigmatism, cataract, myopia, glycoma if we pretend that it is too late for Nigeria to break up. It is not. The Soviet Union comprised of one strong group, that is Russia, which accounts for 80percent of the economy and military power, and yet, in the fullness of time, when the weight of internal contradiction could not be born anymore, the Soviet Union collapsed like rotten papaya.
“Rather than allow that happen to Nigeria, we should convince ourselves that we should meet around a well-furnished mahogany table to discuss the terms of our coexistence, whether we want to be together or not. Let us discuss whether it is worth it to save Nigeria from disintegration.
“We cannot be in a big entity where we self-destruct one another. You need the freedom to use your God-given talent to be the best you can be. History has shown that the stupendous leap in progress by India and Pakistan has not been limited to military technology and strength. They have made great progress in technology, healthcare, agriculture etc.
“If we were to attempt to have a national language, people will talk about Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba, the onus will be on us to adopt Itsekiri or Tiv so that arrogance of the major tribes will not be there.
“We don’t have to be afraid that as fellow human beings we can meet and agree that for us to have peace, we can go our separate ways.
“No president, king or emperor will make Nigeria work until we evolve a truly federal system. Nigerians rulers have ruled us with an overbearing centralism that has created so much inefficiency, chaos, and underdevelopment.
“Somehow, we must find a way to return to a true federal system. We must do whatever we need to do to make Nigeria work. Why should a person in Ibadan have to go to Abuja to register a business? We must find a way to stem the gale of the abnormality of our structure,” Adeyeye said.
Addressing the raging issue of adopting ranching as the means of livestock rearing and production in Nigeria, Adeyeye argued that ranching was the way to go, such that everyone with enough funds could start their own livestock business, anywhere in the country.
Guests at the event included, Special Adviser to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Due Process, Mrs Rose Oyedele; Emeritus Archbishop Alaba Job of the Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan; President Ophthalmology Society of Nigeria, Dr Gbade Ogundipe; Dr B. G. K. Ajayi; Medical Advisory Committee, University College Hospital, Mr Victor Akinmoladun; Deputy Provost, UCH, Professor Obafunke Denloye; and Professor Gbemi Oke. http://www.tribuneonlineng.com/156779/

(SMH twice) Guy, you are the drop out here. I have showed you evidence that rubbishes your argument that '60%' of imported good end up in Onitsha. That is not possible coz the largest consumer markets for those goods are closer to Lagos than Onitsha. #Fact. Igbos are not the only importers in Nigeria. #Another Fact. Nigeria imports more than Okrika and spare parts which you folks are known for. E.g, no be only una dey import cars, refined petrol, e.t.c, you name it. #FAct. OfficialAPCNig: We are still saying the same thing. Everything you calculated just amounted to 34.6% of our total imports, what about the other 65.4%? Ndi Igbo controls those.
Even at that, Ndi Igbo are still into heavy importation of those 34.6% you mentioned.
Ndi Igbo are Nigeria's largest importer of Kerosene, Anambra is the largest importer of packaged medicaments.
Ndi Igbo runs this economy (Kiss da Truth) No, boy. We are not saying the same thing. That man whose quote you are latching on was merely plessing una mumu button to deflect from the fact that Onitsha port has been abandoned. If the port was so viable, Igbos themselves, the rich ones amongst y'all, would not need the FG to get it working. They would pull resources and get it done. I repeat, the largest consumer markets in Nigeria are in the SW, North, and SS (in that order). Those are where the BULK of Nigerian consumers are, not Onitsha. Name the commodity, be it kerosene, packaged condiments or whatever, the REAL/LARGEST consumers are closer to the larger markets, which aren't in the SE. You are not making sense at all dude. |

OfficialAPCNig: If 60% of the importation goes to Onitsha alone, that means Onitsha generates 60% of Custom's import Revenues.
When you factor in those heavy importers in Aba, and Igbo importers in Lagos, you can safely say Ndi Igbo contibutes over 80% of Custom's import revenues.
When you exclude export tariffs, which is so minimal, it means Ndi Igbo are responsible for over 70% of Custom Revenue.
Again, when you consider that the fact that Nigeria is an importing nation, you will see that Igbo runs this economy.
Remove SE/SS Nigeria will collapse. (True Talk) For your mind. lol. Below is the list of major Nigerian imports and their worth -- before some people come and claim that their substandard imported merchandise constitute the bulk of the revenues generated via SW ports. The S.E doesn't even have the largest consumer markets with the biggest purchasing power in the country (that title goes to the SW, the SS, and the North). Clowns. Refined petroleum- 15% ($7.83-billion) Cars- 3.4% ($1.75-billion) Wheat - 2.8% ($1.46-billion) Packaged medicaments - 1.4% ($752-million) Rice - 1.4% ($706-million) Concentrated Milk - 1.3% ($679-million) Raw Sugar - 1.3% ($668-million) Malt extract- 0.84% ($441-million) Source: http://atlas.media.mit.edu/en/visualize/tree_map/hs92/import/nga/all/show/2014/
