To this end. The Civil Defence. Fire, Immigration and Prisons Board has directed that all officers. With HND, degree holders should be upgraded to COMPASS 08. Which is the salary grade level for holders of degree certificates at entry point.

A board meeting chaired by the Minister of Interior. Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau. Approved the regularization of the salaries on Tuesday in Abuja. According to a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by the Permanent Secretary. Ministry of Interior, Abubakar Magaji.

Police Dump Accident Victims, Three people that had accident escaped death by a whisker after an auto crash on Eko Bridge, Lagos State.They were reportedly saved by an undergraduate of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Jemima Osunde.It was gathered that while Osunde was busy with rescuing the victims and putting them in her car en route to a hospital

Some other persons who pretended to be sympathisers made away with valuables from the wreckage.Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, who responded to the emergency after the medical student made a distress call, allegedly Police Dump Accident Victims at the hospital.

In a series of tweets shortly after the incident on Sunday, Osunde described the crash as “the most terrible thing” she had seen.She said, “I watched the most terrible thing happen today; an accident on Eko Bridge. The car in front of mine somersaulted to the other side of the bridge and crashed into two cars. One of the victims came out of the car himself, while the other two were trapped in their cars.“Thankfully, some men helped to bring them out.

Police Dump Accident Victims, Two had injuries on their heads; one of the men literally had his head split open, and was bleeding profusely.“I called the rapid response number, 112. Unfortunately, they were not as rapid as I expected and I couldn’t stop the bleeding. So, I got the policemen to take two of the victims in their car and follow me as I took one in mine.“I took them to LUTH where I am schooling.

Active members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife OAU lecturers Protest the detention  of the former Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Anthony Elujoba, who is being convicted for alleged fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Elujoba appeared on Friday for fraud at the Osun State High Court sitting in Ede and the judge ordered that he should be kepted in the EFCC custody until Tuesday being (tomorrow) at the time this post was published. When his bail allocation would be heard.

Prof. Anthony Elujoba, is being prosecuted by the EFCC for paying workers’ bonus with over N1bn but the workers said the former Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bamitale Omole, who was accused of fraud was not prosecuted.

Lecturers at the university, led by the ASUU chairman, Dr. Niyi Sumonu, on Monday afternoon staged a protest demanding the release of Prof. Anthony Elujoba,

The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has ordered the dismissal of four Police Man Extorting Money  from a tagged yahoo boy.

According to a statement released today by the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit(PCRRU), Abayomi Shogunle, the affected police officers attached to the Ijebu-Ode area command in Ogun state are;

 
(1) AP. No 122800 Inspr. Mufutau Olaosun, (2) F/No. 366127 Sgt. Adebayo Temitope, (3) F/No. 455593 Cpl. Bakare Taiwo and (4) F/No. 455554 Cpl. Adesoye Ayokunlehin. They were charged, tried and found guilty in an Orderly Room conducted at the Area Command Headquarters, Ijebu-Ode for two offences against discipline as provided for in Paragraphs E (iii) Discreditable Conduct and C (ii) Corrupt Practice under the First Schedule of Police Act and Regulations Cap. P19. Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.

According to the statement, on the 12th of June, 2017 the Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit (PCRRU) received a complaint via WhatsApp number 0805 700 0003 which states thus; “Good morning sir, My name is (Withheld), living in ijebu ode, on Wednesday afternoon I went to withdraw money from the bank and am been sent by my boss when going back to the office some policeman car just double cross me and collect my phone telling I stole the phone I should follow the to the station and the took me to igbeba police station here in ijebu asked me to do frog jump from outside to a room, which I did to afford being beating.

Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, has replied Senate President, Bukola Saraki, for calling for the sack of Ibrahim Magu, as the Acting Chairman of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Osinbajo, spoke through the Chairman of Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, PACAC, Itse Sagay. He said the Senate lacked powers to direct Osinbajo to remove Ibrahim Magu. He said this on Tuesday, in reaction to the threat by the Senate to suspend all confirmation of appointments made by the Presidency, until compliance with its previous resolutions.

Sagay, accused the Senate of trying to usurp the President’s powers on appointment.

He also said the provision in the EFCC Act, which states that the appointment of the Commission was subject to Senate confirmation, was invalid for being inconsistent with the Constitution. He said: “This is a Senate that does not realise that it is part of the Legislature and not an Executive body. And they want to do both the Legislative and Executive work together, which will totally eliminate the principle of separation of powers. That’s the sort of people they are. They’re Legislators, but they’re hungry to be the Executive body.

“If they threaten to bring government to a halt, they will bear the responsibility and consequences that will arise. Let them be ready to take the consequences of their actions. “In fact, it may be good for this country for them to expose themselves like that, and let the country know the people who constitute a problem to good governance in Nigeria.
