[quote author=Ofunaofu post=123649721]I have maintained that Nigeria as an oil producing country got no business with how much all these countries around its borders are selling petrol. These countries are not oil producing countries.
We should concern ourselves with countries like Angola and Libya because they are oil producing countries and the last time I checked, Angola have subsidy in petrol to some extent and have total subsidy in diesel, kerosene, cooking gas and gas oil.making the citizens a beneficiary of their natural common wealth. Nigeria have none
Here in Nigeria, instead of tackling the endemic corruption in the Oil industry spearheaded by those in government, NNPC and Oil cabals, maintaining an effective border control to checkmate smuggling, the government turn around and inflict pain and hardship on the people by increasing the pump price of fuel masquerading it as subsidy removal
I am asking, What is the Nigerian common man benefiting from "Our" Oil [/quote
You're comparing Angola with a population of 34 million, with Nigeria with a population of 213 million. Angola is just like south west Nigeria in Population. |

Initially, I thought he was joking until it was clear he wasn't. I told him to call the police, but he said they can't afford Lapo, how will they afford additional police charges. Lawless country. Smh LAPO own is normal na...even as far back as 2013, when I used to go to one cyber cafe that was close to a LAPO office, every day was drama, as you hear the debtors shouting out from the holding cells. But this video looks fake...it looks scripted to put fear in the minds of palmpay debtors. |

DeLaRue: Nigeria is a large country. 20 SAs is not too much.
I think the President is being strategic.
I believe much of the dynamic changes will come from these SAs and not Ministers. The President will have the opportunity to bring in young talented Nigerians from within and outside the country as SAs.
These talented people might be too young to be Ministers.
Also, these old politicians including ex governors still want to be Ministers. This is politics. Mr Tinubu can't totally ignore them, but we know most of them will not bring any new useful ideas.
I am more interested in the young SAs Mr Tinubu will bring into his government.
For the size of the task ahead, 20 SAs is not expensive.
It is the national assembly and ministries where a lot of money is wasted. It takes an intelligent, unbiased mind to get what he is trying to do. You're smart. |

Fuel marketers are just too greedy. There’s no fuel scarcity. The fuel they all have now was subsidized for them! But because they quickly want to make x5 profit, they started hoarding fuel!
Somethings are not just government.. Exactly. Anyway, their days of making astronomical gains from Nigerians will be over very shortly. |

What are the "massive Government secondary schools all over Lagos"?
How does that mean"prioritizing" education?
When you say "those schools still stand till this day", is it like they were supposed to have fallen or crashed or is Tinubu the first governor to build facilities in Lagos that are still in use till today?
Where does Abiola fit into all this? Bro, going through your previous posts, it is evident that it would be a waste of time bantering with you. Abeg go with your negative energy. |

Tinubu built massive Government secondary schools all over Lagos...from Bariga, to Ogba, to Egbeda area...those schools still stand till this day. Go and do your research. |

soil4soil: Tinubu learnt on the job. He was well prepared
He learnt from Awolowo what prevented him from becoming president He learnt from MKO what also prevented him from becoming president So he is well prepared. Exactly. Awolowo was a very upright man, and did a lot as premier of the western region. But he couldn't win presidency because he couldn't play that political game and didn't have money. Abiola had money, but he didn't master the political game. Tinubu has money, and mastered the game. |
