With Delta's money in 2023, Obi was easily discarded by Atiku. Stop that nonsense. He who alleges must come up with facts. Once again, let's see the evidence that supports your concoted claim of Atiku rejecting Obi as VP in 2023. For your information, Obi did not inform Atiku about his plan for defection. Go and verify. |

lapintoz: 2023 was not Obi's fault. He wanted to be VP to Atiku, but was rejected. Atiku says he cant be associated with Obi's failure of 2019. That he needs a fresh blood. And with the backing of Buhari's cabal, Atiku thought he had 2023 in the bag. Ignored the G5. Underestimated Tinubu at his peril.
Now Atiku is begging Obi to come and be VP. Meanwhile, Obi don taste limelight, doesn't know weather to go back and be boy boy to Atiku.
Confusion everywhere. Stop lying. Bring up any evidence that supports your claim of Obi been rejected by Atiku as VP in 2023. |

Focusmind: Obi and Obedients should know that Atiku is the main opposition leader. Without taking anything away from Obi, it would be extremely difficult for him to galvanize people again to face PBAT. He has lost considerable level of momentum. I doubt if he could do anything on his own. 2023 presented the best of chances for him, if he had paired with Atiku. I trust Atiku to make way for him after his 4 or 8 years tenure. In Nigeria, you have to crawl, politically, before making claim to the presidency. Atiku would have been the best route for Obi to get to the presidency. Emotions and sentiments do not win anything. You play the game the way it is played in that location. Nigeria's political terrain is unforgiven and it is not for the faint - hearted. You are a sensible Nigerian. Thank you. |

Yesterday, I commended the president publicly for granting pardons to the likes of Vatsa and the Ogoni 9. However, when armed with the full pardon list and seeing drug peddlers and kidnappers forming a large chunk of it, I felt ashamed for hastily eulogising Tinubu. This is a wrong signal to the nation and the world at large. A big administrative gaffe. |

Justnation: PETER OBI should contest on the platform of LP and leave ADC for Atiku..
I support PETER OBI to leave ADC, since Atiku doesn't want to respect himself and heed the people's call for him to step aside for a more vibrant and nationally acceptable PETER OBI So, Obi is more vibrant and nationally acceptable than Atiku? You people's ignorance and uncanny pride remain a misery. |

YesDaddyTill203: Let them all go to a primary; whoever wins then can contest.
Why should he step down for anyone?
No free lunch for anyone; if you want to lead, then you need to work for it. Go out and test your popularity/acceptance within your party before coming to contest with other candidates. Succinct. Good reasoning. Those expecting him to step down are just on wild goose chase. |

Obeysco: A big lie! Does Atiku think he's talking to small children? We don't need him, he should go and rest with the stolen money in his hand. Never again!!! Don't use the word 'we' again. You can only talk about yourself. Sensible Nigerians need Atiku as president. |

heysquare: I think those people shouting that Tinubu is fixing his people into top notch position will now see reason for that as Atiku promise to do same if elected. From that statement it showed that he doesn't need any vote from the eastern region and that is just a careless decision or statement from Atiku. It's better for me to stick with re-election of Tinubu Don't twist Atiku’s statement for your sinister intentions. Atiku did not say only Yorubas will occupy vintage positions in his govt. It's your choice to stick with whoever you want but Atiku will be your president in 2027 by God's grace. |
Politics › Re: Yorubas Will Occupy Topmost Places In My Government Not Hausa-Fulani - Atiku by OLADD: 5:45pm On Sep 24, 2025 |
Wiseman2y: Atiku is not politically wise at all. The best thing for him is to support obi and later obi will handle over to him after obi one term. Atiku is bound to fail again if he eventually emerged as adc flag bearer. The difference between Tinubu and atiku is that Tinubu is more politically polished and calculative than atiku.. though in a sane country Tinubu should not be allowed to be president. The only chance of atiku to be president is to support obi and el rufai in 2027 otherwise he will be politically doomed forever in Nigeria politics. How I wish atiku should embrace this advice but it is left for him to write his own fate. Thank you Mr Wiseman but Atiku will never relinquish the ticket to Obi, never! Contrary to your opinion, it's Obi's interest to step down for Atiku if he ever wants to become president. Any irrational decision by Obi to contest the same way he did in 2023 will end his political aspirations. Mark this for posterity sake. |

AMI3: So as u are u have conviction that the last election was in favor of Tinubu because Obi contested or Tinubu merit it.
If I inec is not check even u file in Jonathan, Tinubu will still win.
The problem is not Obi or Jonathan but INEC No, the main problem is Obi. His insistence in contesting in 2027 is the reason APC is beaming in confidence knowing fully well that he will divide the opposition votes in similitude with the 2023 scenario. Even the so-called riggings were only made possible due to polarisation in the opposition. Obi is indirectly working for Tinubu's victory in 2027. |

Lie from the bed of latrine. There are politicians and non politicians alike, who descretly make donations without publicizing it. It's even spiritually wrong to make vuvuzela of any help rendered to fellow mortals. No wonder people seldomly get rewarded for the so-called charities aside political capital. |

“…and Igbos as re just too desperate”. Who was more desperate in 2023 between Igbos and the Yoruba man who shouted “emi lokan”? Was it his turn, after the Presidency between 1999 and 2007, adding the Vice between 2015 and 2023? Who was more desperate? Something is definitely wrong with you people's thinking faculties. Only a few stand firm and hold on, to their professional ethoes and patriotism when the temptations of supporting politicians come calling. People are now averse to Jonathan recontesting for the presidency simply because he's seen as a threat to whoever they support. Most Obi supporters have suddenly become newday Jonathan advisers, asking him not to contest by virtue of been a Statesman. Some are even flying the kite of constitutional encumberance when the courts have already laid it to rest. How ridiculous! This shows they have hiden agenda. Keyamo can be pardoned being somone that seemingly places politics far above national interest, but what about the once reverred Prof? |

Mrexcell: And who does he think he is to deserve a satisfactory answer when the rightful authorities in the land whose duty it is to investigate such cases has already done their work and come out with absolutely nothing to prosecute obi? Why will any reasonable person even take a man like adeyanju serious? Someone that prefers to vote for a man who was openly found moving bullion vans with cash into his house and who is also a confirmed indicted drug trafficker than voting for obi who doesn't have any corruption allegations anywhere in the world. Go through your post and see how pretentious you are. You posited that Obi has been investigated and found to be clean, so nothing derogatory should be said about him. On another hand, you're here abusing people who the courts or investigative institutions in the land (rightly or wrongly) have also given clean bill of health. How do you describe your situation?
