Atiku, Obi, Kwakwanso and even Tinubu have had the course to contest for elections under different political platforms in thier political journeys. Appraising thier leadership qualities should not commossensically, be premised on one-party or multi-party affiliation staus.
PoliticsA Rejoinder to 'Atku Abubakar Is Not a Leader' by OLADD(op):
In today's politics, local or international, political enthusiasts always tend to sentimentalise issues all in a bid to either denegrate the personalities of people on the other side of a divide, or simply set out to call dog a bad name just to have it hanged.

When a political commentator who has never been known for, or associated with a cleacut ideological stand either in support of a political party or its ideologies makes a bold but glaringly perverse attempt to demarket a frontline political heavyweight like Atiku Abubakar, citing his associations with many political parties in Nigeria over the course of our evolution as country , as the basis for querying his leadership or political status, in today's volitile political landscape, one wouldn't be wrong to describe such person as a mere mischief maker as well as a typical rablerouser who's only seeking for relevance where obviously, there's none.

For many who had followed the dude who parades himself as Barcanista on this popular forum, it requires little or no effort in unraveling how unstable he has been in
chaging alliances between different political parties like piece of cloth. Today, he supports PDP, tomorow, he ports to APC. Overtomorow (the day after tomorrow), he's wearing a different garment in a different support base.

With the above escapades well documented, on what basis would a character often labeled as a camelion blatantly typify himself as a kettle calling the pot black? And while should the leadership status cum leadership quality of a politician be called to questioning simply because he or she decides to change associations?

Please, don't get me wrong, I am not, by any stretch of imagination giving backing to politicians' incessant movements between or among political parties, a practice that clearly becloud their political standpoints, Nigeria as a developing democracy has not reached the point where a democrat can stay glued to a political party. We would surely but gradually get there.

After all, virtually all the celebrated political juggernauts in the country today, have had the cause to change political platforms in the last 24 years. This, as unpalatable as it is for ideological democracy, should not be used as a yardstick for denigrating their leadership qualities, Atiku Abubakar inclusive.

Thank you for the audience.

Let me break it down further, if you didn't get it. The so called obedients will help hasten Obi to his political obscurity if he continues to listen to them. Bunch of mobs who lack sense of intuitive reasoning and I don't care if you're one of them.

Commonsense shows that any attempt by Obi to contest as a presidential candidate the same way he did in 2023 would not only end his political carrier, it would further dampen the chances of Southeast in producing president in Nigeria. His best bet for accendancy to the presidential seat, is to deputice for Atiku. Anything short of that would lead to his political damnation.

But take this from me: I don't care what Obi does provided he doesn't use his ego to bring APC back to power the same way he did in 2023.

Hubris of the highest order. Always grandstanding on empty political thresholds. It's a pity that someone that once chaired one of the frontline banks in Nigeria would allow some blockheads to deceive him into political oblivion.

Obi will never become president as a standalone presidential candidate unless he disembarks from his pedestal of overblotted ego. Use your heads.

Says a man who accepted nomination to be running mate to Fulani Atiku.

grin grin

He knew the party had to go South for the 2023 election, yet he still put Secondus as National Chaiman just to hijack the party..
Only to push Secondus out because he wanted the ticket 2023.

This man remains the biggest problem of PDP.

He can only deceive and fool his minions, not reasonable people.
May God continue to increase your wisdom. I am always elated with this kind of critical thinking, devoid of deceat and ignoble emotions. The fact that many people still listen to the man and take his words hook, line and sinker remains baffling and negates any iota of commonsense.

If many Nigerians can think rationally the way you have done, questionable, double-mouthed and deceitful characters will cease to have field days in Nigerian politics and its rulersship.

Thank you.

And stop making it look as if is a tribal thing. Her late husband knew her and where she is from very well before decided to marry her.

It's only a fool, outdated educated illiterate, religious and tribal bigots that are still relying on tribe and religion to make a judgement nowadays. The world has advanced beyond this primitive thinking. Change your thoughts
You're a rare gem. I feel honoured and relieved by your comments. The world has gone so perverse and conscienceless to such a level where many do not consciously bother to consider all angles to any issue before passing judgements, forming opinions or drawing conclusions. It's a sign of a people who have lost moral values and critical reasoning.

Has anybody asked why "she's so pained"? Have they forgotten that she knew everything that panned out before, during and after Aketi's travails? Do they really know the root causes of their hostilities?

Nobody is saying she should not " move on ", however she does deserve to be heard out when she ventilates her anger. Simple.

The best any reasonable person can or should do, in this circumstance, is to stand on the fence and let posterity judge all concerned.

I regret watching the match, seeing the results alone would have been better. I'm utterly disgusted, displeased, and disappointed.

AJ should go home. sad
It's the end of his era. Boxing, just like most of the contact sports, goes with psychology. As soon as a boxer looses the fear factor that scares his opponents, he's gone. AJ lost the fear factor the moment he lost to Andy Ruiz in their first bout. His grit was broken.

Same thing happened to Mike Tyson and Wilder; they were found out and the fear factor disappeared.

If AJ decides to still hang around, he would be pummeled by even journeymen in boxing. He's made some bucks and it's time to quit.

Too bad AJ lost. A time for everything. AJ ruled the Heavyweight boxing world for some years. It's time for the younger ones to take it from there.
Not just loosing, but loosing badly. There were rumours this guy rocked him during sparring in the past but AJ and his handlers kept on denying the obvious.

As much as I know anything can happen in boxing, this utterly one sided show really hit me hard.

It's as if AJ didn't train at all, or he grossly underrated his opponent's punching power.

He was outclassed, outboxed and reduced to nothing.

I think it's time he takes a bow.

I thought by now, your warped senses and those of the mob would have been resuscitated after myopically bringing APC back to power due to inability to reason liberally and conscientiously. For your information, there are only two dominant parties in Nigeria; PDP and APC. If you fail to borrow senses, your lamentation has just begun. I am also sure your conscience agrees with the fact that PDP's 16-year rule was far better than what APC is offering but tribalism and sentimentalism would not allow you to own up to it. Good luck with your mob syndrome.

Since they came, Nigeria's moral and spiritual levels have continued a downward trend.
The morality of the country has been effectively destroyed by these polithieves.

PoliticsCoup In Francophone Africa; A Wakeup Call To Nigeria by OLADD(op):
An adage from the southwestern part of the country soundly situates the waive of forced military takeovers spreading like wild fires across the length and breadth of African Francophone enclaves when it posits that " the death of one's contemporary is nothing but a proverbial warning for the living to take heed".

First it was Mali, then Bukina Faso, and before anyone could say Jack Robinson, despite barking from ECOWAS, the US and its allies (and non allies alike), Gabon, a nation of barely the size of Yobe in Nigeria fell into the hands of Khaki Boys!

Just less than three months ago, our president, Bola Tinubu still revelling in his 'victory' at the polls, sounded notes of warnings against further military takeovers in Africa while addressing ECOWAS assembly as its chair. Spitting fire and brimstone, so to say, he cautioned of dire consequence for continued military adventures in African politics. Regrettably, recent turn of events in both Niger and Gabon has indeed poopooed his thunderous rhetoric and that of toothless ECOWAS!

Now to the crux of the matter. Though many have disingenuously waived aside any possibility of military reentrance into our political landscape, citing the country's demographic dispositions and inherent diversities, however, the greatest mistake we can make both individually and collectively is to throw caution to the winds and behave like the proverbial ostrich. Let no one get me wrong, I am not as a patriotic and responsible countryman advocating for civil unrest or military incursion into our polity. This piece is intended to serve as a dreaded local gong, calling all of us to the reality of our crucial times, judging from what we can see and hear from far and near.

Our country, without unnecessary padding of words, requires leadership direction at these crucial moments in its annals of history. There's palpable fear among the citizens, of possible civil and ancillary disobedience if the gale of recklessness and power mongering continues unabated in the polity. Our politicians' indifferent postures in the face of excruciating pains of the teeming masses do not by any stretch of imaginations help the course of the nation. Day-in day-out, the gulf between the rich and the downtrodden gets wider in the country. News of electoral and judicial suppressions feel the air. Election tribunals are been allegedly compromised and manipulated all in a bid to keep the status quo.

In not too distant past, our society was correctly categorised as a clime of three tiers of citizenship; the rich, the average livers and the poor. That classification without any iota of doubt has practically evaporated, vanished into thin air and subsumed into two classes of merely the rich and the poor. In other words, in today's Nigeria, one is either poor or rich, no middle ground.

Wastage in public space refuses to take downward slide but the hapless citizens are perpetually reminded of the need to persevere. Many are barely living without direction and assurance of tomorrow.

With such despondence and pitiable quagmires, shall we still pretend and assume all is well with the nation? And if those saddled with the responsibility of remedying the situation are now the ones that constitute themselves as clogs in the wheel of the progress of the nation, what hope lies our democracy?

I am just trying to make sense and I wish our dear country best of luck.

That is not what the law says. 25% in the FCT is only relevant if you have 25% in 23 other states.

What you are saying doesn't make sense since you can win all the states in Nigeria and still not win if you don't have 25% in Abuja.
The crafter of the constitution knew what they were doing by specifically mentioning FCT. If it was not mandatosry and important, it would have been completely ignored in the provision.

This time around Atiku doesn't have the usual block votes from SS/SE.

He won Oyo and ondo in 2019, but Tinubu is going to sweep south west votes in the forth coming election.

North central, Apc will win kwara, kogi, and Niger.atiku will have to battle labour party to win Benue, plateau, and abuja. Meanwhile apc can edge him in nassarawa due to emergence of obi.

North east, atiku will take adamawa, taraba, and bauchi .Tinubu will take borno, yobe and Gombe

Northwest - tinubu will take zamfara, kebbi, kaduna, jigawa, kastina. While atiku takes sokoto.
Kano will be a battleground between kwankaso and Tinubu.

Obviously Atiku defeat will be worse than 2019.
Typical nonsense. Just wait till Saturday, Atiku is the next president of Nigeria.
