The likes of Donald Trump, Tutsi Gabard, RFK Jr and some others changed from the democrat Party in the United States to the Republican and Libaterian parties. It's a matter of fulfilment. Why would someone blame Atiku who is not holding any political office and turn a blind eye on serving governors who left the PDP for APC. Which Nigerian, who wanted to be or became President, has done that in our history? I.e sojourn abroad and then show up every election year to demand the Presidency?Awolowo, Azikiwe, Buhari, OBJ, Yar Adua, GEJ or Tinubu? Just name one.

Shall I list the number of times Nigeria has been extremely challenged and Atiku was missing, silent of simply non-commital, as in the case of Deborah, because doing what is right may come at a political cost to him.

He builds no Political Party and never endures with any. Preferring to go from one Party to another like a desperate opportunist only interested in his own personal ambition.

When In Parties, he never involves himself in internal processes that strengthens and improves the political efficacy of those Political Parties as real leaders would do.

His lifelong engagement with politics, political leaders and political Parties is always one-sided with Atiku looking to profit while giving nothing back to the other side.

This distinctly shows, anathema to what leaders do, Atiku seeks parasitic engagement with others and never mutually productive/beneficial relationships.

There are literally a thousand facts and reality that show Atiku is never a leader. I don't like to claim Nairalanders are paid to post because all are entitled to their opinion.

Yet your post brings that to mind because it is akin to claiming night is day. Such a departure from proven and established facts/reality is very abnormal and suspicious.

Firstly, when has it become a crime for a Nigerian to sojourn abroad and still deem it necessary to contribute his quota to national development? For your information, Atiku shuttles between Nigeria and Dubai but run people oriented businesses in Nigeria. Atiku operatives tertiary educational institutions and agro businesses that have many Nigerians working for them.

Do you know what, many of our monarchs were once soujouning abroad at one point or the other before returning home to take up traditional roles. Tecnocrats like Okonjo Eweala were once based overseas before been called home to serve thier fatherland when the need arose. Living abroad does not erode the Nigerianess in any individual.

Secondly, get your facts right before drawing inferences. Atiku was a founding member of PDP. He contributed immensely to its growth before some opportunists hijacked the party. While I will not totally support the idea of changing parties at will, our democracy has not developed to the level where a politician can stay glued to one party and still hit his target. After all, virtually all standout politicians in Nigeria - Obi, Kwakwanso, Elrufai etc have had the course to change political parties in a bid to achieve thier ambitions.

Don't denigrate Atiku for what all Nigerians politicians are guilty of. It's a sin against God and man.

This is a pattern! Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has never stayed in a party past two election cycles.

He was a founding member of PDP and became Vice President of Nigeria in 1999. He won reelection in 2003, and that was it. He bolted after the second election cycle.

He joined Action Congress in 2006, clinched its presidential candidacy, but lost in the 2007 election. After that election cycle Atiku ditched AC and returned to PDP in 2010 after President Umaru Yaradua’s death. He spent just one election cycle in AC.

Back in PDP Atiku competed for the 2011 presidential ticket but fell to President Goodluck Jonathan. He grew distant in PDP and ultimately jumped to the newly formed APC merger in 2014. He spent only one election cycle in PDP.

In APC he entered the presidential primary but placed third behind first runner up Rabiu Kwankwaso and the eventual winner General Muhammadu Buhari. He abandoned APC in 2018 for a third spell in PDP. He spent just one election cycle in APC.

He secured PDPs presidential candidacy for the 2019 election but lost. He deserted the party yet returned in 2021. In 2022 he grabbed the partys ticket again for the 2023 election but lost to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Just like in 2007 Atiku has now forsaken PDP for his newest venture ADC. He spent only one election cycle in PDP.

Ironically each time he exits PDP he stirs factions and hypes his departure with media spectacles but always ends up on the losing side.

Should he lose the 2027 presidential election it would hardly shock anyone to see him abandon ADC.

The only thing that gives President Tinubu and his army of spokespersons any dint of hope as far as 2027 is concerned, and why they still have the gut to embark on garrulus ego hawking, is the apparent grandstanding among the political heavyweights in ADC, who all want to become president.

Onanuga and his folks know with certainty that an Atiku/Obi pairing will defeat Tinubu on the eve of the election day but they are praying and working tooth and nail to ensure the combination doesn't fly.

Oh! How I wish the Obidients and Atikulateds can put heads together and work toward the actualization of that ticket, APC would undoubtedly become history.

Everything points to Atiku's presidency in 2027. It won't be easy but his time has come.

To defeat Tinubu, Northwest, Northeast and Southeast votes must be completely locked no matter the rigging.

We must factor in INEC and the security. Tinubu's only confidence and assurance to win a reelection is in massive rigging of the 2027 Presidential election.


To counter his plans and make it come to nothing, the coalition must work together to lock the overwhelming votes that will come from:

Northwest
Northeast
Southeast


and the only way to lock those votes is by using a strong Northerner like Atiku or El Rufai as the Presidential flagbearer with a strong Southeasterner like Peter Obi as the Vice or Running mate.


With Atiku/Obi ticket, Tinubu may not even contest because he knows he is gone already.


With Atiku/Obi ticket, nobody born of a woman can rig:

Northeast
Southeast


and live to tell the story. Any attempt to change the result like 2023 will lead to national chaos which may turn to full national revolution.



The coalition should not make the mistake of allowing a Southerner get the ticket if not Tinubu will win.


We must be realistic in our calculations.


The whole North are angry with Tinubu, they are the ones to lead the voting out of Tinubu alongside Igbos whom Tinubu ignored/sidelined. And the North don't have the level of enlightenment we Southerners have, they have a voting pattern. Despite what Tinubu did for Buhari and picking a Muslim as Vice, plus constant donations to the North in the past, Northerners were still reluctant to vote for Tinubu in 2023 such that Tinubu had to open Lagos state treasury vault to buy INEC to help him out which is why Tinubu has been angry with the North, now think about it, is it Peter Obi, an Igbo man that the North will troop out en masse to vote for in 2027?


Northerners usually prefer their own, so if we are sure we want to unseat Tinubu in 2027, the coalition party must field Atiku and Obi in one ticket. Tambuwal cannot do it, El Rufai and Obi can also do it but Atiku is the best man to fly the coalition ticket.



Anybody telling Obi and Obedients otherwise is trying to gaslight them so that Tinubu will win

God bless you. Your sense of reasoning and judgement is highly commendable moreso been an Obidient. Anybody that loves Nigeria and truly wants APC out of power in 2027 should advise Obi to jettisson his presidential ambition momentarily and team up with Atiku as VP. It's his greatest pathway (and that of Southeast) to attain the presidency in the nearest future.

Atiku/Obi ticket will undoubtedly defeat Tinubu in 2027 but if Obi remains recalsitrant, Atiku should pick any other prominent person (like Ihedioha) from the Southeast and try his luck.

Obi WILL NOT defeat Tinubu as a presidential candidate in 2027. It's as clear as daylight.
