Got there early and got on the queue, we were given numbers and ushered into the immigrant section. Medicals, birth certificate, police report , Passport photographs and international passport were collected and later we were called to take our fingerprints. Then a young black American lady called me for the interview which went thus.
VO: Good morning
me: Good morning
VO: What's your surname
me: Told her
VO : Who petitioned for u ? , What does she do?, How long has she been in the US? Do u have any pictures together? Are u married? , do u have kids?, asked for my parents names and also asked questions about my other sibling that was petitioned alongside with me but hasnt gotten an interview date yet. Then finally she said I will just go ahead and approve ur visa and gave me two white papers. That's all

Not important I think, they already gave u the ones they know are necessary and u have been charged accordingly. The last one is optional , If u like u can go back there to get d last one before ur departure.

For d medicals, U are to bring 5 recent passport photos, Intl passport, interview letter, ATM card for payment, Immunization records if you have any. As for d interview questions, i believe k1 is a fianceé visa, u will be asked how u guys met, how many times she has visited u and other questions u filled in ur ds260 visa application form. Besides, don't forget to go along with evidences to prove ur relationship with ur fiancée e.g Photos, emails , chats and phone records. Good luck

Let me help u out. There are only two designated hospitals in Lagos. They are Qlife and The Children practice. Qlife is cheaper and u don't need to book appointment with them. They do medical screening between 8-11am Monday- Friday and 12-3pm on weekends and public holidays. Collection is two weeks (2-4pm week days, 12-3pm weekends and public holidays ). Since u don't reside in Lagos, I will advise u to come for d medicals two weeks and a day to ur interview, U return to ur base and travel back to lagos in 2weeks time to get ur result and lodge in a hotel not far from d embassy and go for ur interview d following day...Budget for like 80k for ur medicals. My brother, why won't I be in a hurry?
I just asked for copies of documents from my oga at the top, like the copy of naturalisation of sponsor, everything has previously been done on our behalf, all we get is mails. And have been asked to stay put and since my oga at the top has spoken have got no choice than to wait until F1 decides to come through for me.

The current June bulletin for f2b has passed my pd by over one month and I have a sibling who is vehemently refusing to opt out.
I can't decide to opt out alone.

With d look of things, I will advise u to opt out and see how it goes. I believe u would get any available slot if u successfully opted out since ur PD is overdue already under d new category. 6 weeks might drag through d remaining fiscal year and take u to 2019 but if u aren't in a hurry to travel, u might as well be patient. Just follow ur instinct sha!

Are u for real? Didn't you see Fayose4presdent got his interview letter yesterday and his PD is 24th of July. My own Na 21st of the same month which means this bulletin coming out will see F2B move by 6weeks if not more. So if I had written and it got approved I would have also received my I.L yesterday.

Read his comment well...July 24 is his interview date not his PD.

Nope...It is advisable one should opt out before ones PD gets current. Pretty16 PD is July and F2B is still in June, so there's probability that if she had opted out 2 months ago she still won't get an IL up till now. so I believe now is a perfect timing for her and d next VB might probably make her current under F2B.

Where's Seun9090?...She needs to opt out too. Her PD is May...She will definitely get a slot next month if she does.

My dear, go on and have a shot at opting out. It's your right. You shouldn't be disadvantaged because your mum became a citizen; it should be an advantage. You can sort this out in less than 2weeks. Write to NVC and get their approval. After that you will write the DHS office in Ghana. They will request for your passport data page and a letter written and signed by you indicating that you are not married and have never been married. Normally approval comes within 5days. That's all. If the consulate doesn't invite you when your date PD is current simply mail the NVC and DHS approval letters to them and that's all.
There is no risk associated with this process; at worst it will be turned down (this is very rare).
