Please before you put the blame on GEJ, what is gowon, danjuma, useni,Bali, dogonyaro e.t.c doing , is only when it comes to keeping Nigeria 1 that we hear their voices but when it comes to defending their people , we don't hear any thing.

This is the sane unprofessionalism of the hausa soldiers which they exhibited in the 1966 coup where they slaughtered innocent ibo soldiers and ironsi whose only crime was that some 5 ibo majors did a coup , they aided the slaughtering of thousands of ibo in the north for no reason than they are ibos.

Now they are pursing the same agenda against jos people slaughtering innocent women and children for no reason than some people stole fulani cows.

You have to remember, the beroms participated in some of the killings of Igbos as well. Anyways those fools like gowon and danjuma are not the presidents so its not their job, it is GJ.He needs to stop being so desperate for presidency and do something quick. The beroms are on 300,000 in population.

Those Chechens do not play. They are very brutal. However, the Russians have no qualms destroying an entire village or city. The Russians know how to bring a sledgehammer.

The thing is Russia is too big to secure all of its area. Also, the Chechens are using guerilla warfare, which is a very powerful tool in getting what they want.If nigeria was to go into civil war now, the best way to defeat the army/government and split would be through guerrilla warfare. That is of course if things get that bad.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Terrorists bomb Moscow Airport - Total carnage - Nigeria pls tighten up security by Olaedo1: 9:23pm On Jan 24, 2011
Look plain and simple Russia needs to let Chechnya be its own country and stop holding then against their will like slaves. If this happens, the bombing nonsense will stop.

This whole nonsense about the ''internationally recognised'' winner of the IC elections is just one more slap in the face of Africans.

Tell me, after Bush rigged his way into the white house, did we hear anything about the ''internationally recognised winner, Al Gore'', or were we even given a chance to discuss any of this?

Did Al Gore hole himself up in a hotel, declare himself president, and invite the UN to protect him?

Nope.

You see when a people have a sense of dignity, there are certain things they just don't do.

Outarra, the IMF goat who claims to have won the election, is just the sort of leader we do not need in Africa.

How can a man that is himself still a slave, be able to free the people??

They keep say "international community" and "internationally recognized" but who exactly is in this "international community"?
Politics / Re: Nigeria Urges Un To Authorise Force In Ivory Coast by Olaedo1: 5:05pm On Jan 24, 2011
Because of this nasty barbaric attitude of the nigerian army, if a civil war does occur in 2015 in nigeria, I hope those that are going to be opposing the nigerian army invite rebels from Ivory Coast to help cut them down.
Politics / Re: Enugu Guber: Jim Nwobodo, Ken Nnamani Dump Chime by Olaedo1: 3:06pm On Jan 24, 2011
I don't see any reason for Chime's rejection by Nwobodo and Nnamani other than them wanting to indirectly control Enugu. They'd have a good alibi if Chime was a low performing governor;however, he is not such at the slightest. Will see how this turns out. Welcome back cool

Why do you revel in muddling up easily verifiable events?

It just a question so answer it. Why were there no riots after Sarduana's death was announced, or if there was what was the date? In nigeria as we all know, riots from the northerners happen right away. Like you said it should be easily verifiable.

can you please mention names here and if you can't,maybe you should just retract that your useless insinuation. [

Can you mention the names of the Igbos that went through the streets poking fun at Sarduana's death, and if not maybe you should do as you told me.

Aigbofa:

Your own version of history, I suppose. They were just soo happy with the deaths of the Sardauna and Balewa that nothern officers had to shed Ironsi's blood in revenge!

I never said anything about Balewa. Also, northern soldiers shed both Balewa and Sarduna's blood as well. He is a totally different story. Can you tell me why no riot was committed after Sardauna's death?
Politics / Re: The Igbo/yoruba Relationship By Austin Orette (Niger-delta) by Olaedo1: 2:10am On Jan 24, 2011
Aigbofa:

I guess you now understand how Northerners felt when ibos were foolishly dancing around with pictures of the dead Sardauna of Sokoto!

It wasn't only "DARK" it was also DUMB.

I had to step in right here. You are screw history. Contrary to what you just said many northerners and leaders were joyous of sardauna's sack. They saw him as being too much of an old overlord and he was becoming intolerant to them. This is the reason no riot or death happened after the news of his death. Now fast forward it wasn't until later in the Ironsi  military rule that the northern people were tired of his rule and the whole "Igbo trying to dominate" propaganda by the Brits that the killing started, and that was months way down the line.

@ Ola edo, I commend you for being so constructive , but I rely on my instincts here, I believe that the US and UN would have to sanction our seccession. I believe that they will not want to sanction complete fragmentation. If the South truly want complete fragmentation, then we might have to settle for a 2 stepped approach as opposed to demanding an 'either, or' scenario.

If it is fragmentation is truly desired after the initial seccession of the Southern part, then there is no reason why we can't agree to do so amicably so far as there are rules about the minorities deciding for themselves. For instance, the Ijaws might not want to join Biafra,

I mean the European colonizing powers collaborated to split us and form these imperfect nations but we the indigenes cannot collaborate to form our living space , there is something really with this picture , and I hate it

Of course i agree.Nothing by force.Referendums are the new ways of handling things. One of my reason for thinking the way i am is that by being in separate countries we don't have to fight over resources, like the White supremacist countries want us to. We can trade with each other. I need what you got and you need what i got so.When this is the case it forces up to respect each other to get what we need. We will then know what real african unity is. As for the minorities they have their own choices the make their own country, i dont think neither Biafra or Oduduwa want ijaws to join them,to be quite honest with you.

@ Ola Edo, you have a very valid point, but I seriously do not believe so because the South will be able to implement
True Federalism, and when we start to build our wealth people would act accordingly, because they will have a genuine stake
in the polity.

Moreover, Igbo people are capitalists through and through, this is their main trait, they love trade which is great, so do you
really think that the majority of their populace would want to curtail, restrict, or confine their trading activities to the eastern part
of Nigeria??

I don't think so

once agin tribalism is for the primitive.

With the ambition of the Igbos/Ibibios/Efiks for Biafra I doubt a southern nigeria would happen. I think the best think to do is the southernes go their own ways as well. It'll help preserve our culture, traditions, and languages as well. We can always trade between nations.

@ Kalu Akanu

So your position is that because Southern people had a chance to join the East and your conflict with the North, but chose otherwise, we should let the Christian peoples residing in Jos get slaughtered. You are so narcissistic it defies logic and belief, and by the way, how is declaring the Republic of Biafra for peoples of the east including minorities an invitation for all people in Southern Nigeria to join you?

You don't think that a north-south split would just be done to lead off into one part of the south separating from the other?

what about akin-egba? You are so silly! mehn! Well if you still believe I am of yoruba origin then good luck to you!

I had to present so facts to you to clear up a claim you made last month, that the Itsekiris never knew the Igbos before the white man came. Well here is evidence that they did,and this evidence is coming right from the mouths of the Itsekiris.

Itsekiri History

Itsekiri modern history dates from the late fifteenth century when the Itsekiri people adopted a prince from Benin Kingdom as their monarch. Prior to this time, Itsekiri lived independently in different communities that included Irigbo, Ureju, Omadino and Ugborodo. With the arrival of the prince and adoption of the monarchy, these communities coalesced to become a Kingdom. The current monarch is Ogiame Atuwatse II, who was crowned at an impressive ceremony in 1987.

History reveals that in several waves of migration before the 15th Century, and some a little later, groups from Igala in Nupe country came in through the creeks; Yoruba from ljebu-Ode, Akure and Owo found their way into parts of the Kingdom and a group from Aboh also came in. Some along the coast came in through Gulani/Amatu.

http://www.itsekiri.org/files/history/history.php

Aboh is an igbo town in the Anioma area of Delta State.

Anioma, commonly referred to as Delta Igbo, are a subgroup of the Igbo comprising towns and communities located in Delta State, South-South region of Nigeria. Before his removal, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has been the Executive Governor of the State since 2007. The Anioma people for administrative purposes are referred to as Delta North thus contrasting the Delta Central and Delta South densely inhabited by the Urhobo, Ijaw, Itsekiri and Isoko, the other ethnic groups inhabiting the State. The Anioma region has a total population of 1,114,055.[1] The population figure quoted here does not include those of Anioma communities located outside Delta state. These include Ukwani, Enu-ani, Ika (Agbor), and Aboh.
