karl max: 18.3 Billion Loan Scandal: “I STAND BY MY DECISIONS AS GOVERNOR” Says OYINLOLA TELLS PROBE PANEL]Tell it to that goat looking fellow where he kept the balance of the loan as stated by Oyinlola here. Prince Oyinlola said the panel should note that his government after seven years took N18.3billion loan while his successor within its first two months in office took N25billion loan from the First Bank. This is a very serious point raised here. U mean Oyinlola really took 18.3 billion in 7 years and this Ogbeni took 25billion in 2months? God, Osun state is presently being raped openly |
It's 7 already, any update? |

Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has announced a new rebranding scheme for officials of his government, blaming the mass media for its poor image. Mr. Jonathan was speaking at the Presidential Villa where he unveiled a new performance assessment scheme for his ministers, a mechanism which, he said, will help highlight government’s targets and achievements in all sectors of governance. He blamed the necessity for the new performance evaluation mechanism on the mass media, which he said no longer reflects the voice of the ordinary man. “Before, the media used to be the voice of the ordinary people,” he said in his speech. “But now, the media is the voice of those who own the media houses and those who owned the media houses have private jets and those who own private jets are not ordinary people.” The remarks came at a time that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who leads the opposition Action Congress (ACN), and who owns newspapers of his own, was describing the government Jonathan leads as a massive bureaucracy suffering from “elephantiasis.” Mr. Tinubu was in Washington DC, and speaking at the Center for Strategic and International Studies on the subject, “Current Developments in Nigeria; The View of the Opposition.” The former Lagos State governor has emerged as one of the most vocal critics of the Jonathan administration. Mr. Tinubu is also known to be working with other opposition parties towards unseating the PDP federal administration in 2015. He told his American audience that the federal government is too powerful, and that this has led to deeper corruption as well as other problems. Said Mr. Tinubu, “We are at our worst poverty level, education is degenerating, industries are moving out of Nigeria, we have zero capital development project, the only thing the government is doing is borrowing, and we have Boko Haram.” He spoke about the need to decentralize political power as a panacea for these problems, pointing out how Mr. Jonathan has authority over the federal legislature; a pattern that he said has been the case since the PDP assumed control in 1999. Mr. Tinubu cited some examples to illustrate how the federal government ignores other political voices in the country, stressing that Mr. Jonathan ignores such suggestions because he is a beneficiary of the system. “You can’t fight corruption because the government itself is corrupt,” he said. “Majority of the perpetrators made financial contributions to ensure the president wins the election, so he cannot prosecute them.” He said that as a result of the record of the PDP, Nigerians have lost faith in government, stressing, “Enough of PDP in our lives, they have been tagged as Poverty Development Party.” On the current insecurity in the country, he said that as leader of the opposition, the ACN has made proposals to the federal government, including subsiding farming, especially in the North, so that Boko Haram will no longer be able to recruit the unemployed and beggars. “If they have jobs, they won’t be going about killing people, and it will improve their nutrition value,” he said of the militants. “Concerning Jos, all the federal government needs to do is create another local government for the people. Mr. Jonathan’s blame of the media returns attention to the subject of his performance in office, as he has so far failed to honour any of his electoral promises, including fighting corruption and providing jobs. Only last month, he refused to declare his assets publicly, which gave an additional black eye to his government. “So the same man who says he does not give a damn about declaring his assets wants to blame the media for not polishing the awful image of his government?” a media analyst asked . “And now he wants a “performance evaluation” designed and implemented by his government that will make the government an achiever? source: http://dailypost.com.ng/2012/08/23/mass-media-responsible-governments-poor-performance-president-jonathan/ |
karpentar: If the thieving Yoruba and hausa subsidy cabals could bribe the NUPENG union officials, why can't the government do the same to enable them have unrestricted chance to nail these thieves? Nobody can be richer than govt.Only f**l will write the trash I quoted. Thanks for the public display of your f**lishness. |

miteolu: Most of the universities in Nigeria can never give you the best in computer engineering. It is better to learn computer engineering @ Computer village, Ikeja or computer engineering centers than wasting 4-5 years in higher institution.Cause the only thing you can do as a Computer Engr in 9ja is replacement. Are they expected to build a motherboard or DVD rom e.t.c? They only need to know how to troubleshoot and find the faulty part of the system and go to computer village, buy the part and replace. Simple. |

Paul John: Bro, please remove Oyinlola from that list. I'm from Osun state and I'm sure that the people of Osun will chose Aregbesola over Oyinlola in a thousand time. Oyinlola is like the worst governor Osun has ever produced.Oga forget that one ooo. I also have people in Osun state and they still praise Oyinlola till today because they've seen what their Messiah (Aregbesola), have in stuck for them. Forget all this O' whatever over hype p**, ur ogbeni is presently working below people's expectation. |
Paul John: Aregbesola is an engineer. Go and confirmEngineer from Ibadan Poly or which school? |
Now, this is the reason why ACN will not rule Nigeria. Every matter must be taking to their "god" called Tinubu. Imagine, deciding the faith of Ondo ACN chapter in his house. ACN is a one man matter and there is nothing democratic in them. Ondo state citizens, now you have a candidate chosen by ACN commander in chief and not state party members. He stays in Lagos and knows who and what is best for u. What should we expect from someone had picked to rule: 1. pay homage to his god that choose him tru state fund or what other means legally or illegally. 2. turn lagos to his office cause he can rule from anywhere(thanks to Abati for this insight). 3. work to gain the approval of his master in lagos so that he can be endorsed for second term. 4. have his commissioners' names handed over to him from lagos just as the case of osun state where a commissioner has not being in the state since its creation. 5. all contractors from oga in lagos automatically qualify for contracts why Ondo state indigenous contractors will be adviced to have a Lagos address on their letter before they can be considered at all (happened to a friend in osun state |
yorke1: Kill them all. Rubbish students of MAULAG.May all ur family member rot in hell. May ur wish for all those students come to pass on all ur loved ones. May u witness the kind of agony the parents and family of those students should have passed thru if the were killed. |
It depends on the kind of work u use ur system for. If u are the type that only watch film, listen to music or just play around on the internet, then shut down ur system. If u happen to be my type that takes writing code as a wife, then shutting down will not come to ur mind for a very long time. Personally, I can't remember the last time I shut down or Log off my system. For over a year now, is either I hibernate or put it to sleep but I made sure I disabled windows update for fear of known enemy. |

Post jamb is not in any way the solution to test if those poor jambitos are worthy to be admitted or not. Last year when UI also introduced exam to her post jamb nonsense, my Uncle who was a Prof in Linguistic was asked to set some of the questions that fresh secondary school grad will answer. After setting like three different sets of questions and showed them to us, we have to beg him to reset those questions. He ended up picking out of the questions he had in mind to submit for the second semester exam of his 200level student. How on earth will those fresh brain will pass such wicked questions? I tire for us o. Seriously, is either jamb is scrapped or post jamb is scrapped. Why the double payment(sometimes, three) for one thing. |
Beaf: Dude, why are you interested in pretending to be me? Don't you think your behaviour is sad?Don't mind that guy.He thinks we can't spot the difference btw Beaf(Original without colon) and Beaf:(fake and impersonator with colon) |
Game over, we lose again |
They are playing like a typical under 20 team. So damn raw on the field and giving away senseless free kicks |
The Nigeria guys are just too rough. Why are they always raising elbow to the face of their opponent? The experience is seriously not there. That guy in jersey no 11 is the man of the match for Nigeria. |
