Yes i know, I didn't want to flash lazy flahser cos i know the next thing after that is to flash magisk. I don't want anything that I will disable my phone from installing update through OTA

My journey to and fro brickland

Xaiomites trust me, brickland is a place you will never want to visit expecially if you are newbie to all this unlocking and flashing thingy.

Fast forward to the subject matter. As manageable as mi max 2 camera might be under normal condition, it really sucks on low light and the front camera is not too good hence I was desperate to install gcam. I was wondering how i will go about it cos i have never flashed any shit before or tamper with my default phone settings. Simple, I'm not a guy that fancy tweaking phone upandan.

So i started researching on how to get the camera app on my phone without root cos i really hate rooting my phone. Luckily for me i found out that the mission is possible without root, first i needed to unlock bootloader, flash twrp, flash camera2api through twrp then install the gcam app, scrubber or any gcam mod.

I was like wtf! this process no pass 3 steps na why should I be afraid of bricking my phone. Abeg make i do am sharp sharp joor. And that was after I waited 3days for bootloader to be unlocked cos its 72hrs for max 2.

Then i picked up my laptop and install the necessary drivers to allow me smooth operation. I bought chilled malt with straw to be sipping so that tention will not catch me if anything goes wrong
Next i boot my phone into fastboot, run the command on pc and i was able to install twrp with any issues. I was like see simple thing
Next i flashed camera2api through twrp and it was also successful. By then i was feeling like a champion and more confident that my phone will not brick.

After everything was successful and i wanted to exit twrp, it asked me if i want to replace twrp with stock recovery, I wasn't sure of which option to choose. I asked my self why did I downloaded twrp if not to replace stock recovery? I was like Abeg replace joor... Not knowing that I was boarding a train to brickland.

After replacing it, I tried to boot my phone normally, na so the thing just stay for mi logo, I was like chai i don enter am today.
30 minutes gone still on mi logo.
Mehn i was really frustrated and don't even know what to do.

I picked up my laptop and start researching for ways to unbrick my phone. All I was seeing was that I needed to download fastboot developer rom and flash through mi flash tool to enable me unbrick my device. I was like chai which kind wahala be this na.
I tried researching for easier ways to unbrick my phone but couldn't get anything. Just as I was about to give up, I found a post on xda forum that says replacing stock recovery with twrp will brick the device and not allow it boot into stock rom, it can easily be unbricked by flashing dm verity disabler.

Next i rushed to download dm verity disabler and flashed with twrp.
Na so my phone just vex boot into rom oo. I was very happy.
Na so i just rush go install the gcam app,it was taking too long to install, I was like i go swear for this gcam if e no work upon all this wahala.... I never finish mutter, the app just install. Omo i was happy i had to go through all the stress cos it was worth it.
Gcam is the bomb!!!

Pls help guys, after unlocking bootloader, is it normal for oem unlocking button to go completely gray and not able to turn on? Cos without enabling it I can't flash TWRP.

Guys pls help, after unlocking my mi max 2 bootloader, I'm not able to turn on oem unlocking again cos it's completely gray, I tried installing TWRP, the command will show that the system recognised my phone in fastboot but when I try flashing TWRP it wouldn't flash, I don't know maybe it's the oem unlocking causing it or there is something I'm not doing right.

Finally did my unilorin DE screening registration and my screening is scheduled for 28th of August

Why gameloft why? who swear for una say una must spoil better thing.. Asphalt 9 would have been the best asphalt ever if not for the useless short races with just one lap as if it is a drag race.. Why this people mumu like this and so far it is free to play oh i never see pay to play yet.. Graphics are neat with sweet locations even better on bigger device

that's why I'm OK with my new max 2.... My next upgrade will be max 4... I believe max 4 will have more than 5500mah battery compare to max 3 and increase in snadgrom.... In overall.... Max 2 was released last year.. Max 3 this year... I believe max 4 will be next year... So waiting for a year to upgrade my phone is not bad....

Na so bro. If we no apply sense this phone manufacturers go just chop our money finish giving us phones with no much difference. When person no be mugu.. Max 3 can go to hell. Max 2 rocks for now

On Most brands, upgrades on subsequent models are usually incremental. If you want a massive upgrade on a model, you have to skip the subsequent model. Like the Max to Max 3. Same with galaxy phones

The thing is that the upgrade from the Max 2 to the max 3, though incremental is good enough. To list them...
1. Bigger screen in almost the same size
2. Trendy screen aspect ratio
3. Better processor

4. Bigger battery on an already massive battery
5. Better Camera
6. Better design.

What other things were you on the look out for? I was also expecting a pro version with SD 710 and if they throw in an OLED screen, and infra red facial recognition, it would also be fantastic. But this is good enough for an update.

On point bro. I will wait to upgrade from max 2 to max 4. This phone manufacturers don't care, all they need is our money, it's left to us to know what's good for us instead of upgrading phones every year
