I write to seek advice on how to resolve this landlord and tenant issue.

It happened one year ago,at the time I was tenant in a self contain apartment where there's no light and water. The landlord made promises upon promises that she would ensure that we have water and light but all turned out to be a fake promise. What we needed to have water in the house was just to fix a small petrol pumping machine that was bad and the cost to fix it is 20k. I and the two other tenants gathered 10k and told the landlord to add 10k to it so that we can fix the pumping machine and at least have water in the house. She agreed that we should go ahead with the repairs that she would send her 10k when it's done. So I took the pumping machine for repairs and paid with my money hoping that I will get the money back from both the tenants and landlord.
To cut the long story short, the landlord refused to pay part of the money as agreed, the other two tenants also refused to pay giving reasons that they will vacate the house since their rent is expiring in one month time. I was left with no choice than to tell the landlord that I will also vacate the house since we aren't making progress with provision for light and water.
Fast forward to the month my rent expired, I told the landlord that I would need a refund of my 20k I used to fix the pumping machine since I'm leaving too and no one used it after it was repaired. Instead of giving me my 20k she sent some guys to bully me and take the pumping machine from me and they also instructed me to pack out. I was very pained and feel cheated. Unfortunately for the landlord, the day I was packing out I saw the pump inside the store and I decided to take it alongside my loads.
I called her after I have left that her pumping machine is with me, if she needs it let her pay me my money and I would release it back to her. All she did was rain curses on me and tell me she's more than small pumping machine bla bla bla.
I kept the pumping machine for good three months, she didn't reach out. A friend of mine who works with a construction company came around and he saw it and he was like what am I doing with a pumping machine cos he knows that I don't have anything doing with a pumping machine. I narrated the story to him and he was like let him use it pending the time the landlord may pay me My money and then we return it.
Fast forward to one year later, the landlord called and I still insist she give me my money in which she's still unwilling to.
Problem now is that I called my friend to ask about the pumping machine and it was all stories that the pumping machine got knocked and everything later became scrap, in short he couldn't account for it.
Please what should I do incase the woman decides she would pay me my money but I no longer have custody of the pumping machine?

Actually it's a bad day for me as I lost my life savings to a nylon recycling business I've been into for over 3 years. Let me go straight to the point.

A client i met recently came to my place to source for materials (pure water sachet and packing bag waste) . He saw exactly what he was looking for. We agreed that he will pay 60k for me to transport the materials from ibeju lekki to sango ota and he will also pay a certain amount for the materials after scaling it. I arranged for the supply the following day and made it to his factory at sango. I called, but he was not answering his calls . He would eventually call me back after 4 frustrating hours. For some reasons I don't understand he redirected us to another factory where I met the person he asked to attend to me. The attendant told me this is not the exact materials they were expecting from me. I was like what? But this is what your oga ordered for. He insisted that they don't need the type of materials I brought and they will only accept it at 50% price we bargained, also they won't pay for the transport as agreed.

I called the client and told him to talk to his attendant on the agreement we had. To my great surprise he said the attendant has the final say because, he's the manager in charge of receiving materials. That was when it dawned on me that I'm in for a serious problem. I told the driver I want to return the materials back to my place, he said that means the total money I will pay him is 120k. 60k to sango, 60k to take it back. An outright loss of 120k if I resolve to take my materials back. 50% pay cut plus 60k loss if I decide to give them the materials anyway. It was frustrating as hell.

Long story short, I supplied the materials. The money I received in the end couldn't even cover up for the capital and expenses on the materials. I lost everything I had. Funny enough I intended to pay my house rent from the proceedings but now everything is gone!

I later realised I was tricked. This life is full of evil and wicked people.
