bones007: Once ur passport is valid for more for than 6months,u don't have any problem. Don't be bothered.
Thanks bro, at first I thought what it means is that I must have 6months extra after the duration of my stay in the US.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part3 by olarwarlay(m): 8:21am On Jan 17, 2013
Pls house, I need your urgent advice on this. I am applying for the Undergraduate studies Fall Session which I should finish by August 2017 but my Passport would expire in November 2017. I read about the 6months extra on the Passport and I don't know if I can still use the passport to apply for visa because mine has just 3months extra. Pls I want to know if this will not affect my being issued a visa or do you guys think I should just find a solution to it ( maybe by renewing it or by extending it) before the visa interview or can it still be renewed when it expires in the US in 2017? Should I be bothered about this or not?. Thanks.

moroh: Bros, U sef no try. If you take care to notice Yvete's trend on this thread, you would see that at first she may tell people to go back a few pages, but at the end, she breaks down and answers the questions. This matter has been settled a few weeks ago. This just ain't worth it.
I second ur point 'coz she just helped me few pages back... She even answered my question without asking me to go back to the beginning of d thread... Yvete is a nice person, I have confirmed that even before now. Or how many of the applicants that have gotten their visa still find time outta their busy schedules to come here and help people? I saw so many successful applicants while reading thru the thread sometime ago, but they are no more on the thread today.
Thank GOD for pple like Yvete, Imperiouxx, Kpolli, Webstradamus, Mamacita, Dpasion and other gurus... Pls keep up the good work and remain un-distracted.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!

TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part3 by olarwarlay(m): 11:18pm On Jan 12, 2013
webstradamus: Nope ... but why do you need a high school transcript? Your WAEC/NECO/GCE should suffice, normally.
I saw secondary school transcript in some schools requirement and thought i should get it. Thanks bro.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part3 by olarwarlay(m): 11:12pm On Jan 12, 2013
spikes C: Pls don't advice people like this. I don't know about Sec Schools but universities give transcripts and sectional results.
In my school, transcripts are paid for OFFICIALLY (not Kola) but sectional results are always free.

And pls, NEVER FAKE IT. even if the data is correct. It's better you tell the foreign school that it is not available than faking it. They will actually give you another option to prove your attendance.

Besides, i've never heard any school asking for Sec. School transcripts. WAEC, NECO and GCE is totally enough
Thanks bro, i just want to see what it looks like... God bless.

bones007: only correct schs knw what is called transcript and if at all they wanna give it to u, u have to give them something for sweet. That's Nigeria style anyway. I will advise u to do it urself or give it to business center to do it for u. To make it look real.
Pls what do you think i need to do it myself? I wish i could just see a copy of what it looks like... I am totally confused on this.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part3 by olarwarlay(m): 10:42pm On Jan 12, 2013
@webstradamus - pls do u have a clue as to what a secondary school transcript would look like?. Pls i need a sample of it so i can understand and maybe explain to my school what it would look like for my admission process... Thanks
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part3 by olarwarlay(m): 10:01pm On Jan 12, 2013
dnpasion, pls i need a copy of the secondary school transcript you talked about some pages back in the thread, I am finding it difficult getting mine too from my secondary school. Thanks bro.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part3 by olarwarlay(m): 9:58pm On Jan 12, 2013
ferdiii: Nigerian rural and urban sec.schools have no clue about a transcript. If he needs a sample I will mail it to his mailbox ASAP. I did that shiit myself when I was made to understand that they can't do it and do not have an idea.
@ferdiii - i dont know if you can still see this comment, but pls i need a sample of that transcript too. My email is afolabiolawale2@gmail dot com. Thanks and God bless.

Yvete: Hmnn... If you're familiar with me on this thread, you will realize that I don't like to repeat information and I get a bad rep for asking people to go back a few pages tongue. Further clarification should be done yourself by contacting these schools or GOOGLE.

Because its not your fault, I will explain everything one last time so you can get it.

Do you have at least an Associates degree(OND, ND, Bachelors)?
Can you prove it (Diploma, transcript)?
Would you prefer to complete a BA/BS in 2 years?
Did you attend a reputable university that Foreign Evaluators can verify?

If you answered (yes) to the questions above, apply as an International transfer student. Say you attended Madonna University for one year, your credits will not weigh much in the transfer process, but if you've got at least 2 years of college credits, you're good. Please don't worry about it. US Admissions process is not complicated at all.
Thank you so much yvete, so sorry for the inconvenience... U all are doing a great job and i appreciate u for dat... God Bless U.

Yvete: awww ... you want Phoenix? grin cheesy grin cheesy grin ASU is an excellent school.
Some schools have in-house evaluators. Do whatever they instruct, and as Imperiouxx advised. If your credits are below an Associates, I'd say forget it and start as Freshman. Proof of completing an Associates/OND/Bachelor degree gives you the opportunity to transfer freshman and sophomore credits. You should be starting off as a Junior i.e Third year. You get 2 years to round up a BA/BS.
@Yvete - pls i do not understand what the bolded means, but i have a 4.0 GPA in the associates of law program. Can U pls expantiate further? or mayb I shuld just apply as a freshman. Thanks.

@Yvete, pls do I need to submit an evaluation of my Associate Degree in Law when applying as a transfer student with the certificate?. The schools requirement for transfer students states that one has to submit an evaluation of the certificate or does this apply to students tranfering from their 1st or 2nd year in the university from here?. Pls enlighten Me on this.
God bless You as always.
