Why do we just keep majoring in trifles? What is the essence of a power outage reporting App when the power itself is largely non-existent? Does NERC and the FG require daily reports from citizens to know that Nigerians are lacking electricity? This is the only country where the slightest indication of rainfall amounts to total blackout, for reasons they have never bothered to explain to the populace. It's currently raining in Gwarimpa Abuja, and the power has been out for over 2hours now. By the time the rain fades, it's going to take another two days for AEDC to dry high tension cables and transformers .

Just use the app to report that power is non existent in your area, is that too difficult for you to do? All these years how do you report to power distribution companies that you don’t hv light… by driving all the way to their depot? Or by just simply waiting and hoping that the light shows up! So what inconvenience does this app cause you now if not that it simplifies ways of reporting power outages?

Majority of these officers are illiterates who used bogus certificates or means to get the job! (I know this for sure) so probably when some of them received such letters they simply passed it on to a third party for whatever reason, because they don’t really understand the concept of privacy rules! This is where we are at in this country, in 2023 o!

Level of crime in Ekiti is on the low side, the police service is a FG parastatal and is mainly funded by the FG, so what’s the catch in this generous gesture towards the police by state governments every now and then? My instinct tells me they use this exchange to steal money… it smells corrupt, it looks corrupt and all parties involved are corrupt so…!

I never wanted to say anything about it but I feel for Chioma. With the fact that she lost her son, she is losing everywhere. No sane government will vote to stop funding for professors. Most of you here don't know what this means in actual real world. It's insane. It means no more funding for research et Al.

President Tinubu should cut down the cost of governance first. Not just cutting down everything that poor masses benefit from.

You stop subsidizing fuel, good move kudos. What's next? Do we have more funding for education, health and infrastructures?

Which professors are you talking about? Professional bodies in Nigeria are mostly self-established in the era of military regimes as a copycat to what they saw in Western countries… in contrast, professional bodies in the West are greatly influential in policies making within govt, they do a lot of research and mostly source funds from private companies and individuals, govt contributions are very minimal to discourage corruption and inefficiency. Some of the researches bring about changes in environmental policy, economic development and new innovations in tech and infrastructure.

The same cannot be said about these mumu organisations in Nigeria, call any of these ‘professors’ to come and make public presentations on any new ideas that can change the lives of Nigerians positively, na you go switch off young tv in agony!

How Baba Buhari spent nearly a decade without even considering checking what these ‘organisations’ and ‘councils’ were up to, I don’t understand! They just kept allocating huge funds to them year in year out without any positive impacts on the economy… is that because most of these orgs are filled with Abokis with no knowledge of anything about what these organisations were set up to do?? President Tinubu is actually the man for the job, kudos to him on these actions since he got into office!
