jonsnow92: Don't be myopic Dejong is the one playing DM while Moriba is playing as the RM which Puig can play better. I'm all for winging it but I don't know what Iliax has ever offered, he should be introduced sparingly to grow but of course alakori Koeman keeps bringing him on to spite Puig. ok now i understand |

smartsmith0907: Ebuehi is the most technically gifted RB in the super eagles...he doesn't get bullied he marks his man well his crosses are always pin pointed he knows when to join the attack and also does his defensive perfectly ( it takes alot of tatical prowess for you to do that ) Aina is equally talented too but ebuehi is better than him for now I think Aina's real position is LB if you've watched this season his goals and assist comes when he plays as LB he is good on his left foot and also for the super eagles his assist for ighalo came when he played for the LB. I don't think the RB is a position for him maybe he should be drafted to the LB he started off as a LB though.

mowah: Omo, Aina has suffered sha. Person wey dey ball.... Among our defenders, he’s the best passer, the best dribbler and the best goal scorer. Even his marking is not bad, he had quite a number of successful interceptions yesterday. Let me tell you something about Ebuehi, I’ve been watching his games in the Eredivise these past few months and it’s been average, Ebuehi’s strength is his pace and marking(paradoxically Aina is quite better in marking skillful opponents but poor in marking Pacy opponents), but when you watch Ebuehi’s game closely, you see flaws in his technical abilities, don’t get me wrong, he’s good but he’s still raw, he joins the attack often but hardly contribute positively cos his crosses are still below average and his confidence is still far below Aina’s own. For Ehizibue, well not yet o, with the past few games I’ve watch him play in the Bundesliga, it seems he’s better off the ball than on the ball. you are the first person am hearing that's ebuehi is not techincal maybe u are watching back of television |

Ahead of Friday’s CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final
draw, Enyimba FC have moved up in the updated African
club ranking table.
The Confederation Cup quarter-finalists are the only
Nigerian club in the Top 30 African club ranking, which as
expected is dominated by clubs from North Africa.
‘The People’s Elephant’ are now 12 with 408 points after
moving up four places up from 16 . Egypt’s Al Ahly are the
number one ranked African club.
A nervy finish in Aba on Wednesday night saw Enyimba of
Nigeria beat the Orlando Pirates of South Africa 1-0 after a
late goal in the final Group A match CAF Confederation Cup
match to advance to the quarter-finals
Fatai Osho’s men started Wednesday’s encounter in search
of a win to confirm its place in the knockout stage, but they
found it difficult to break the visitors, until the 95th minute
when Cyril Olisemah scored at the Enyimba International
Stadium in Aba, Abia State, Nigeria.
The victory fired the Nigeria Professional Football League
giants to the top of Group A with nine points after six
matches.
Despite the loss in Aba, Orlando Pirates qualified for the
next round as the second-best team in the group with nine
points after the same number of games.

Sports › Fashanu: Bringing Back Ighalo To Super Eagles Could Make Osimhen, by Oldboss(op): 7:31am On Apr 30, 2021 |
The former England international has suggested some of
the consequences of making the 31-year-old come back to
the national team
John Fashanu has warned Nigeria national team coach
Gernot Rohr not to bring back Odion Ighalo to the team,
stating it could make the young strikers in the side
‘depressed’.
Ighalo called time on his international career after helping
the Super Eagles finish third at the 2019 Africa Cup of
Nations in Egypt, where he emerged as the tournament’s
top scorer.
Since his retirement, Nigeria have relied on Napoli’s
Victor Osimhen, Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho and
Genk’s Paul Onuachu, who have been in fine form for the
West African side.
Editors' Picks
The Super Eagles recently booked their place at the 2022
Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon and Fashanu has
revealed reasons why Rohr should not attempt to lure
Ighalo back to the side.
“Experience in football counts but we don’t want to do
anything to upset the young boys or make them a little bit
depressed,” Fashanu told the Punch.
“The only thing Ighalo has to offer to the national team is
his experience, it is not his ability because there are
players who are far better than him and we know that.
“If Rohr wants to bring him in because he stabilizes the
squad, it is fine. I remember when I was in my 30s and
the manager kept bringing me back, it wasn’t because I
was a great player but I gave the team confidence. And
that might also be the reason why Rohr wants to bring him
back but other than that his time is gone.
“Ighalo is in his 30s and in Nigeria we have fantastic
prospects that are fighting to get that spot but not all of
them can make the squad.
“If you keep playing the older players it is at the detriment
of the younger players. It is high time we start seeing 17,
18-year-old geniuses in the national team.
“Where there is no talent the coach may consider bringing
him back but there are so many talents and it would be
very wrong to bring him back at this stage.”
Rohr hinted recently of his desire to bring Ighalo back to
the Super Eagles, stating the former Manchester United
forward will bring experience to his young team.
“The answer is simple. The answer is when you look at
the age of all the players that you speak about, they are
all young, and also we need experience,” Rohr told
Elegbete TV.
“And if, for example, Odion Ighalo will play with us - I
don’t know if it’s possible for the moment, but perhaps if
he’s coming back, I think players like Osimhen and even
Kelechi Iheanacho could have a big help in the presence
of Ighalo to learn, to progress, to see his professionalism.
“He’s a great professional, a big example for everybody,
and he’s also a great goalscorer. We are very young,
especially in the attack, and it could be good to have
some more experience with us.”
Ighalo is currently playing for Saudi Professional League
club Al Shabab since leaving Manchester United in
February. |
